You were late," Nathan remarks. I glance back at their direction and find her sitting comfortably on his lap with her arms coiled around his neck. Mildred, kindly stay out of this. This is my business,” he says as he turns to face her. “Please, go in while I go get your food,” Mrs. Brown says, stopping in front of a door. I raise an eyebrow at her. “This is the dining room; that’s the kitchen,” she points to the last door in the hallway. “Oh, I’ll just grab my breakfast and bring it here,” I suggest. “No, you don’t need to do that. NATALIA I can’t believe a week has already passed since I arrived here. By now, I’m used to the routine; every morning, Nathan and I inspect the houses together. That’s as far as our interactions go.
