New Beginning

Abigail's eyes fluttered open, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was still in the hotel room, but something felt different. A breakfast tray sat beside her, steaming hot coffee and fresh fruit enticing her senses. And on the bedside table, a new pair of medicated glasses waited, a note attached to the case.

"Good morning, Abigail. Hope you're feeling better. -Seb"

She frowned, reading the notes again just to be sure if it was really him or someone else. This was the same man who had forcefully married her cuffed her in an helicopter and kissed another woman on the night of their honey moon. Abigial needed an explanation to everything that was going on and only Sebastian could explain but he ezt, left with no answer she made up her mind to shower first just to think with a sane mind.

After freshening up and putting on the new glasses, Abigail felt revitalized. Just in time, as a knock on the door announced Rachel's arrival.

"Hey, Mrs  Abigail! Your husband is waiting for you outside," Rachel said, her bright smile infectious. "He wants to take you on a special adventure today."

Abigail's heart skipped a beat. What did Sebastian have planned? She grabbed her bag and followed Rachel out of the room, her curiosity piqued.

As she approached, Sebastian's gaze scrutinized her, his expression disapproving. "Abigail, change your clothes. You look like a slave," he said brusquely, his tone piercing her like a cold wind.

Abigail's anger flared, her face burning. "Excuse me? I'll wear whatever I please!"

"What did you say? Go Inside and put on something else." He ordered in a harsh tone that made her freeze.

Who was this monster? Earlier on she had received a breakfast surprise and a new glass from him but now he had returned to his cold self. The furry in his eyes made her doubt if Sebastian had actually been the one who sent her those item.

She turned to leave, but Sebastian's grip closed around her wrist like a vice.

He pulled her back, his eyes flashing with something she couldn't recognize. And then, in a move that left her breathless, he kissed her under the rain. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in their fairy tale.

Abigail Walker kissed him back, surprised at what was going on. Was Sebastian really kissing her in public? What was he trying to do? So many questions flashed in her mind.

After some minutes, Sebastian broke off leaving Abigail gasping. He still hugged her, The rain was cold, and made her shiver. Sebastian's lips had felt warm, she opened her eyes to see that it wasn't raining as she had thought. It was like a shower outlet that poured only where they  were.

The claps and cheers brought her back to reality, Abigail saw the crowd of onlookers, their faces beaming with delight. Cameras clicked, and applause erupted, celebrating the impromptu kiss.

Abigail's mind reeled, torn between anger and the thrill of that electrifying kiss. She knew she had to escape Sebastian's grasp, but for now, she was trapped in his stormy embrace.

As they walked through the hotel lobby, Abigail noticed the men who had caused the shower. They were retrieving the hose. A smile spread across her face, remembering the first entry on her bucket list... Get kissed under the rain.

Little did she know, Sebastian had a surprise waiting for her, one that would change everything.

"You change and I will wait for you, outside?" He took out the jacket he was wearing and shoes too.

" Where are we going?"

" Beach…" He answered and picked up another jacket.

She laughed at his response, he frowned at her.

" What's funny? Four eyes- Aby."

She was taken aback and stopped laughing, this was the first time he called her something different.

"Who wears a turzito to a beach? "

" Freshen up and let's leave." He maintained his stern stare.

" I'm not following a man dressed up as a clown."

" You know what? Suit yourself Aby. Pick an outfit and let's see who gets embrassed in public."

Her teeth clattered in fear, as his words echoed in her ear but she felt glad he was making her choose an outfit for him. She didn't understand why he was acting so nice but it was a relief.

"Stop smiling Aby…I have to make some phone calls outside."

***

Sophia's eyes flashed in anger as she zoomed the image on her phone, it was impossible. Sebastian, who she had thought knew nothing about romance, had kissed her best friend in the rain…he had personally provided an artificial rain for that purpose. It made her scream out loud but that didn't take the pain away, she heard a knock and walked to open it .

Bruce stood outside Sophia's hotel room, his eyes fixed on the door as if willing her to appear. Finally, it swung open, and Sophia's icy gaze met his.

"What do you want, Bruce?" she spat, her voice venomous.

"I've come to warn you, Sophia. Leave Abigail alone. Sebastian won't forgive you if you harm her again," Bruce said, his tone firm but measured.

Sophia's laughter was like a crack of ice. "You think Sebastian cares about that little mouse? He's using her, just like he uses everyone else and you know that."

Bruce's expression turned stern. "I'm telling you, Sophia, don't push this. Sebastian's patience is wearing thin."

"You know I'm the only one Sebastian will ever want to be with."

"Fairy tales Sophia. Don't console yourself with such lies."

With a dismissive wave, Sophia turned her back on him. "Get out, Bruce. You're no longer relevant."

As Bruce turned to leave, Sophia's hand slammed down on the table, making him pause. He heard the crunch of breaking glass and turned to see her phone lying shattered on the floor.

"You'll regret crossing me, Bruce," Sophia hissed, her eyes blazing with fury.

Bruce's eyes locked onto hers, a silent understanding passing between them. He knew Sophia's wrath was a force to be reckoned with, but he also knew Sebastian's protectiveness towards Abigail would not be easily swayed. He had never seen Sebastian so angry like he was when Abigail was attacked.

With a final glance, Bruce left the room, the sound of Sophia's anger echoing down the hallway. The warning had been given, but would Sophia heed it? But he knew it would take a mere warning to ward Sophia off for good.
