Doris was waiting for me in the Limousin when I came down from the steps. Hank opened the door to let me in. I ignored the gruffy groan that boiled in his throat and got inside the Limo.
Doris was busy with her iPad. She seemed to be making arrangements with contacts for whatsoever it was she was doing.
" So," I asked, relaxing like a king. " Where are we going?"
" You will know when we get there," she replied curtly without giving me another glance.
I frowned, not liking the way she just spoke to me.
The limo sounded and was moving out of the big mansion. I was Soo excited about this outing and I couldn't tell why. Maybe it's because I was going shopping. I've never shopped with a young lady before except with my mommies so this was a new experience for me.
" So," Doris turned to face me. " We're going to shop for some clothes for you and other items you need to go out with Mrs Johnson Aisha tonight. I was given an instruction to get you anything you want at the mall. The bills will be sent to her bank and they will foot it. Now, do you have any idea of the kinds of clothes you'd want or should I make suggestions for you."
This was interesting. I get to choose whatever brand of clothes I want and I don't even have to care about the bills? I grinned at Doris as I crossed my legs confidently.
" No one chooses what I wear for my women. I know what I want."
She stared at me, then at my crossed legs and I smiled even more broadly.
" And tell, Hank to put on some music," I ordered her. " What do you think this is? A funeral?"
With a deadpan expression on her face, she spoke to the intercom. " Kelvin wants some music. Play the best songs you have."
It didn't take up to a second before I heard Davido's #IF, booming through the speakers.
If I tell u say I luv u ooooo....
My money my body na your own o
Baby.....
Now that's more like it, I sang along with him in a loud voice. “ 30 billion for the account oooooo.....”
I noticed Doris and Hank watching me but I didn't give a hoot. I kept singing merrily as if I was Davido himself.
Finally we arrived at this shopping mall that had everything you can ever find outside the country. Ranging from diamond necklace to expensive Italian suits.
Doris watched me as I ran up and down the mens fashion section, trying on different types of clothes.
Gucci, Versace, Supreme, sneakers, Italian suits, loafers, Fendi, Leather jackets, banana boxers, vintage shirts, shorts, chain necklaces, rings, expensive watches, Dolce sunglasses, you name it. I was getting a big bang out of this shopping and I wasn't being merciful about it. I didn't care how much these stuffs costs cause after all, I wasn't the one going to foot the bills.
After getting what I wanted from the mens fashion section, I wandered over to the iPhones section where different types of iPhones were being showcased for sale. Doris followed me with a frown on her face.
" What are you doing?"
I pointed at an iPhone eleven pro max. " I want to buy two of those."
She glared at the iPhone then at me. " We came here to shop for clothes not to shop for iPhones."
I stared at her with narrowed eyes. " Are you sure about that? I thought Mrs Johnson instructed you to get me anything I want from the mall."
Her eyes were burning. " Yes she did."
I waved my hands impatiently at the iPhone I want. " Then get me two of this iPhone. This is what I want. After all, you're not the one who is gonna pay for it or would you rather I tell Mrs Johnson you refused to get me what I want?"
If she was angry I wouldn't know, her face was always calm and expressionless. Only her eyes shows her emotions but at the moment, I didn't see any emotions in those eyes but I sensed something vengeful in them.
In ten minutes, she got my two brand new iPhones. I was filled with joy. I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it. We spent an hour and half at the mall. I wanted to try out many things. I stopped at a pizza hut, a hair stylist, a perfume section, I nearly even stopped at a Cinema. I was driving Doris crazy without even knowing it.
On our way home, I announced. " I'm going to need to register a Sim for—"
" That's against the rules, Kelvin. I'm afraid I can't grant that," she interrupted me.
" Why?"
She turned to face me and I could see the hate in her eyes. " Because rule number three states that; Every information concerning this contract must never be revealed to any outsider. The deal is a confidential one and you would take it with you to your grave even after the four weeks are over."
I glared at her. " That doesn't mean I can't log in on any social media accounts or even make a call to my friends."
" You asked for an iPhone?" She said pointing at the iPhone package on my laps. " That, we can afford easily but we can't afford you leaking this contract deal to anyone outside our circle."
" I don't talk what does not concerns me. The deal is a deal and I'm keeping my side of the bargain. I'm not a woman who talks endlessly about secrets. I keep my mouth shut at all times," I defended myself.
She shrugged indifferently. " Then keep your mouth shut. You are still not going to get access with any communication device that is connected to any call Sim or internet. You can take pictures with your iPhone, play music or do whatever the hell you wish to, I don't care but no internet for you, no outside calls, no WiFi. You signed a deal and that's what you are going to work with from now henceforth till your four weeks are over."
I didn't like this in as much as she made it sound reasonable. The idea of staying cut off from the internet and social media was a loss I couldn't bear. Four weeks without the internet Meant four weeks without food or water to me.
She added, smiling with a jeer of disgust on her lips. " After all, you were hand picked by me. I get to decide what you should and should'nt do. Street rats like you have no business here in the first place. I'm about to change your life so you better shut up and cooperate with me."
Hold the phone! Did she just..... Did she just called me a street rat? How dare she? Who does she thinks she is? Doris just stepped on the Lions tail. I'm going to pay her back for thisFinally we arrived home and I went to my room to get dressed and prepared for dinner tonight with Mrs Johnson. I wasn't looking forward to dinner but I knew I had to do it if I was to pull this deal off I can barely imagine it. $500,000 dollars just for doing Soo little as dating a bony young billionairess. I began imagining what I can do with such a big sum. My room had a luxurious jacuzzi tub that blew my mind. I spent an hour relaxing over the warm steaming water that sank my entire body in. It was the first time I've ever enjoyed a Jacuzzi. When I got out of the bathroom, I received a te
The telephone blared loudly that it shooked me. I took it and spoke. " Yes?" It was Doris. " Mrs Johnson's company manager would like to see you at the Star light restaurant this afternoon before your dinner with her." I screwed up my eyes. " See me? What for?" " You are meeting him by 3:39.pm. He sticks by his time so you will have to be punctual," she said instead of answering my question. I grip the receiver tightly as I stared blankly at the ocean outside my room. " Where is this starlight restaurant?" " It's a popular restaurant around banana island. Hank is coming with you." I didn't want that ape called Hank being all over me in town so I responded sharply. " I'm not taking Hank with me, got that?" " And why? We are to keep sight of you at all times and besides, we thought it might be reasonable if you had a guard." " I don't need a guard," I growled. " I can take good care of myself. And speaking of keeping sight of me at all t
He studied my clothes, my rings and my necklace and he smiled. " You are really getting a big bang out of this contract aren't you?" I crossed my legs, feeling relaxed like a boss. " Yeah, I'm loving it. Thank you." He cleared his throat. " My apologies, how rude of me. I forgot to place your orders to the waiter. What would you take?" My eyes wandered to the married rich women sex eyeing me and I grinned. Well, what do you know, I'm Soo irresistible. But unfortunately I'm way past them for now. I've got a contract to finish first. I returned my eyes back to Austin. I noticed he was taking coffee and reading the newspapers so I decided to play along with his taste. " Just get me coffee. I've eaten lunch." He seemed impressed and he snapped his fingers. Like magic, a waiter appeared from nowhere. " Get this gentleman here, your best coffee and make it snappy." " Yes sir," and the waiter took off as if fired from a gun. " So," Austin crossed hi
Contract Day: 1🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶I’m so gee’d up my bro, Am sorry If it’s not money , don’t call me ohIts been a long way coming E no go make sense if you don’t know the journey🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 That's one thing I love about Nigerian music. They give me that crazy vibes. I stood in front of my mirror, staring at the man before me as the music from my speakers boomed loudly in the room. I looked handsome, I looked gorgeous, I looked take away. Omo money good ooo! The suit was a perfect fit, the golden wrist watch was an outstanding match and the black shoes on my feet were as sexy as my dark glasses. I was ready for my big dinner date tonight. Who says money is the root of all evil? Only a poor man would. Moving like a king that I felt I was, I walked out of my room and ran down the stairs towards the doorway where two servant opened it and bowed as I approached. That's right, make way for the king. The news of how I'd hand
Mrs Johnson and I clicked glasses and began dinner. Trust me, it was the best dinner I've had in years. This place might be expensive but it got quality and class. A band was playing on a raise platform which made the dinner all the more calming and soothing. Doris and Hank sat opposite us. They were having wine and talking about something. From the way Doris eyes kept jamming mine, I could tell she was talking about me. Vera sat alone a little further away from us in case she was needed for. I studied her, she looked pretty lovely in that blue dress. Such a shame she was sitting all alone without a man by her side. She sat with her hand to her left cheek, staring uninterestingly at the band playing. Young girls don't interest me but this girl was pipping my interest in her faster than I know it. " Kelvin," Mrs Johnson called my attention. " I don't know much about you. Why don't you tell me more about yourself?" I returned my eyes back t
" But that doesn't mean you should be sleeping around with married women." I placed my hands together and regarded her. " I'm not the one to be blamed, Mrs Johnson. What I do is render services. I never forced any woman to bed. I only make arrangements and satisfy her needs. These married woman have husbands too but these husbands are either too busy with work and business to care about their wive's sexual needs. Sex is a very vital thing in marriage. When a man fails to satisfy a woman's sexual needs, he is a complete failure. His wife sees him as nothing irrespective of how wealthy or rich he is. A woman needs care, attention, love and most importantly, a good sex. I provide all these needs for a reasonable amount. It's not just about the sex, it's about the love, tenderness and attention that matters. These rich men have mistresses and side chicks outside marriage so why wouldn't these unfortunate women have theirs too?" She didn't say anything which pr
She nodded. " Since you know better, I'd as well learn from you." My smile widened and before she knew it, I grabbed her legs and drew her into the swimming pool. Splash!!! She shouted and I laughed as I swam up to her and held her because from the way she was throwing her arms about, I could see she couldn't swim. " Get your filthy hands off me," she yelled at my face. Okay! I freed her and she was plunged back into the waters. Her arms spread out and she grabbed my shoulders and pulled herself out of the water. She gasped for air, her face only inches away from my nose and lips. We stared at each other and for a while there I thought I saw her cheeks burning red. Then she looked away. Woah, woah. Did Doris blush? Hmm....how interesting. Her hands held my shoulders tight because if she let go, she'd be plunged back in the waters. I noticed her breasts, th
I walked up to her and stood over her. She didn't know I was beside her for she kept looking at the direction my voice once came from. " Kevin, are you still there?" I quietly sneaked towards the grand piano and sat down quietly. My hands came down on the keyboard and I began playing. She listened, her face softening with an instructive expression. " Who's that? Who is playing?" I didn't say anything, I was playing with my instincts. I've never played a piano before but the tunes and Melodies the piano emits were my flow as I tried to rhyme them together to create the perfect rhythm. Mrs Johnson listened attentively and it was with an effort I tried not to laugh at myself because I never knew if I was playing. Vera came in with the drinks I ordered, saw me playing and listened as well. I played for the next ten minutes, listening to one Nigerian hip hop music booming from my ear pods. I was playing rubbish, I knew it. Then I stopped. Mrs
Hanks gun was fixed directly at Vera, looking enormous and dangerous. I'll bet at any minutes, he'd shoot. Vera looked like someone who'd just swallowed a bee and a not soo impressive bee at that. I watched these two, scared of what would happen next and also scared for my life. " So, you thought you could double cross me and make away with all that money and Fred. I always knew you were up to no good, Vera. I've been watching you and Fred. You do sneak out every evening to meet him don't you?" Vera kicked her dried lips. " Hank I....it's not.... Fred's just....he doesn't mean anything to me, believe me." Hanks lips peeled into a snarl. " I'd rather believe a dog than a snake like you. You've had me for a stucker. Now you're going to pay the price." Vera yelled. " Hank, wait. Think about it, if you kill me, you'd never get the money. If I'm dead, the will would be useless to you. Without me, there's no $4.2 b
We didn't head back to the mansion as I was expecting. Instead we drove into an abandoned farm house at the outskirts of banana island. " What are we doing here?" I asked suspiciously. My mind couldn't work. It was as if I was being stored in a deep freezer. Vera turned to me with a sneer in her voice. " If you don't shut up now, I'm going to put a bullet to your head." I didn't say anything because I knew if I wasn't careful with this lady, I might end up like Carmen and Wesley. " Where the hell is Fred?" She demanded as Hank pulled up. " He is inside the house," Hank answered, jerking his thumb at the car parked behind them. From inside the house, I saw a young man running towards where the Limo stood. I regarded him with interest. He was to me, one of the most good-looking guys I've ever seen. My, I'd say he was way good-looking than I was. " For God's sake, Hank
On our way going back home, I was faced with one obstacle and that was keeping these people in the office. I knew the moment we arrived home, they'd kill me and my mom. By now, Hillary must've decoded the information stored up in that bangle and microphone. Everything that was being said since I got kidnapped were recorded and stored up for his ears only. It was only a matter of time before the police were called. To be certain the gang didn't notice my missing bangle, I buried my hands inside my pockets and walked towards the parking lot with my face in the air. I had to slow them down somehow. They can't bear to arrive home just yet. I began wracking my brain for a solution to this particular problem. We got into the car and zoomed off. This time around, Vera sat down in the Limo with Carmen and Wesley. My Lamborghini was being driven by one of the security guards. " You have played your cards pre
On our way to join the others, I started again. " What happens if eventually, you find out she cheated on you?" Hank growled in his throat. " Vera would never cheat on me. She's not that type of girl. Shut up Kelvin. You're talking too much." But I was determined to win this guy over to me. " I was just imagining what it'd look like if eventually Vera took all the money and ran off with another cute handsome man. You can't trust young girls these days. Girls do crazy things for the sake of love. Maybe she has a lover, maybe she's doing all these for his sake. You never know—" He held my shoulders and shooked me hard with his voice bawling in my ears. " Shut the hell up or I'll damn well blow your mouth the same way I did to your mother!" Did what I said affect him? I wouldn't know. He was one tough ugly ape. I could get nothing out of him. Just then, Justice Hillary's secretary announced to us that he had arrive
It was dawn. The breaking of a new day, the day I was to present myself to meeting Justice Hillary. I was given a shower, had a change of clothes and was brought before Vera. Vera and the gang were all at the table, having breakfast when I stepped into the room with Hank. Carmen and Wesley ate opposite each other while Vera ate from the other side of the table. " Join us, Kelvin," Vera said, waving me a hand to my chair. " You must be famished." Hank pushed me forward and I walked towards an empty seat, secretly cursing his mom and dad. I just couldn't get This ape out of my sight. When I'm bathing, he's there, when I was changing my clothes, he was also there and now as I settled down on my seats for today's meeting, she had stood behind me , watching me closely in case I tried to pull a crazy stunt. " Sorry about the gun," Vera spoke. " I should'nt have brought that up but you made me." "
Vera was waiting for me in Doris office. Wesley, the dumb lawyer was also there and so was Carmen. They all sat up as I entered with Hank. Hank shut the door and stood behind it, watching me as I walked around to a seat and sat down with my legs crossed. Vera studied my cool confident look and she smirk. " I can see you're feeling at ease, Kelvin. Now tell me, what are you planning?" " I'm not planning anything, Vera," I said, watching her with beady eyes. " You want my signature, you'll have to pay for it." Carmel who was raising a cigarette to her lips stopped, Wesley raised an eyebrow and Hank just stared without making any expression. Vera smiled more broadly. " I'll have to pay for your signature ehh? Exactly how much is this signature of yours? One million? Thirty million? A hundred million? Name your price let's talk business." " I want Doris out of the cellar," I said ticking the tips off my fingers.
I heard the door behind me shut and locked. Then afterwards receding footsteps, acsending the stairs. Standing before this two women, I was at loss on what to do, what to say or whom to talk to first. Dora's presence in this little prison made matters more complicated. " What are you doing here?" I asked with a shaky voice. " Kelvin," Dora called. " I should be the one asking you the same question. What is going on here?" " You don't know?" " How the hell would I know," she raised her voice. " I got back here, went to my room to take a shower, minutes later, Hank barged into my bathroom and drugged me. When I woke up, I found myself here in this stinking cave with chains on me." I gaped at her, finding it hard to believe she wasn't part of this set-up. I was like, wetin Musa no go see for gate? " Are you sure you know nothing about what's happening?" " Look Kelvin,"
Vera stepped into the room like a ghost. She had that look on her beautiful face that no longer caught any of my attention. Instead it made me scared of her. She stood before me and stared into my eyes. " Hello Kelvin. You didn't show up at the restaurant again. You kept me waiting for hours." " What do you mean I'm Mrs Johnson's child? What's going on here? Don't tell me you're among these crooks." " As a matter of fact, I am. But I'm not just among them, I'm the mastermind of the entire plan," Vera said and smirked. " I planned everything, all that was left for me was to find you and everything else fell into place." " I don't understand," I said, shaking the confusion off my head. " If I'm Mrs Johnson's son, that'd make me—" " Heir to all her billions, her companies, the cars, the private jets, blah, blah, blah," Vera sang rolling her eyes. " You are the pillar to the building of our own take of her billions, th
Hank stood behind me with his arms folded, his eyes watchful and alert. I was sitting on a chair in front of the woman in front of me. A woman who I thought was blind and crippled and depressed. A woman who is now smoking a cigarette and crossing her legs comfortably with ease and confidence. " I'm not Mrs Johnson, Kelvin," she began. " My name is Carmen. Carmen Julie. I'm a third-rate Nollywood actress. I was hired and paid to act as Mrs Johnson." I couldn't say anything the shock of it all made me numb and dull to even move a muscle. " You know, I liked you, Kelvin," she continued, drawing in smoke from her burning cigarette. " You've got guts and confidence. That's how a rich man behaves. Also you know how to make a woman smile and opened. I'd give that to you. You really gave me a hell of a fun time." I knew I gave her a hell of a fun time but I still need answers. Who the hell is this lady since she isn't Mrs Johnso
