Maximus' POV:

I nodded and fully entered the room, my eyes never leaving Sarina as I unbuttoned my polo shirt.

She was heading toward the vanity mirror. The room wasn't white, but it wasn't dark either, and the surface was smooth, despite being from the provinces.

"Your towel, bring it now." She didn't look at me, her focus on reaching for the hair dryer hanging from the side of the mirror.

I grabbed the towel that was folded on the shelf near her.

"Do you want to eat more, wifey?" I asked, wondering if she was hungry since we had been wandering around and shopping before returning to the hotel.

"For now, not yet. I don't know, maybe later," she replied.

"Okay, just tell me if you get hungry, alright?"

"Okay, hubby." She smiled at me, and I nodded in response.

Honestly, who wouldn't be charmed by that smile?

She looked even more beautiful when she smiled, and I was drawn to her all over again.

"Alright, go clean yourself, and let's rest," she urged.

I didn't respond, as she

Sarina's POV:I could sense Maximus' anxiety, and whoever this "Mariano" was, he was likely someone close to him. I had never heard him call anyone by name, except for Aries, and that was only when he needed something done here. When I entered the bedroom, I quickly undressed and took a shower, cleaning my body so that I would smell nice.It seemed like it was time to make my husband happy, and it wouldn't hurt to do so.As I stepped out of the shower, my gaze dropped from the mirror to the open cabinet, where I saw the pills I had just placed.I grabbed them quickly, opened the bottle, discarded the contents, and put it back in a spot where Maximus could easily find it. I hoped he would understand why.Now that he had told me he loved me, I could get pregnant for real. I was sure he wouldn't leave me even after our contract ended. My child wouldn't be pitiful if that happened.A smile tugged at my lips as I thought about how to seduce him and make him happy.Just as I stepped

Sarina's POV:I removed his dick from his pants and took it into my mouth, my hand stroking the part I couldn't fit inside. My other hand gripped his waist to steady his movements. It was hard to hold back, but he seemed to be controlling himself.Even though I had allowed him to put his dick in my mouth, he wasn't overly aggressive. I had never imagined I'd allow anyone to do this."Ohh... Sarina, it feels so good... I'm going to cum, wifey," he said, pausing and trying to pull out.I stopped him, though."Wifey?" he asked. Our eyes met, and I signaled for him to continue. He kept thrusting, starting slow, then gradually increasing the pace.In a few moments, I felt his cum in my mouth, swallowing it entirely.I joked to myself that I had just gotten a dose of vitamin D—D for Dick.He knelt in front of me after pulling down his pajama pants, which I had only lowered to his thighs.Maximus cupped my face with both hands and gently stroked my cheeks."You're even more beaut

Maximus' POV:My happiness knew no bounds because of what happened between Sarina and me.We barely slept because I didn't hold back anymore. I was too infatuated with her, unable to control myself when she was willing.I loved her even more because of what she did for me.Honestly, I hadn't expected her to do that, especially after she once told me she wouldn't moan.Just imagining her moaning, let alone giving me a blowjob—yet now, I knew she fully enjoyed everything I did for her whenever we made love.Fucking her in every way I could was my way of showing her my love. The way I made her feel how crazy I was about her proved she was the only special woman I deeply desired. If love languages were real, that would probably be mine."Umm…" I looked at my sleeping wife, now cuddling me with her head resting on my arm. What had this woman done to me that made me so crazily in love with her?I kissed her head while gently stroking her arm. Her skin felt so smooth as if she regul

Maximus' POV:"Delicious, huh?" Sarina said with a slight nod while chewing.I had ordered lunch, so it was just right. I had to carry Sarina because she seemed too lazy to get up.I laughed at her groggy expression as she rubbed her eyes.Shit! If I had known being in love felt like this, I would've married her a long time ago."What are you thinking about, huh? You look like a fool, sitting there grinning," Sarina remarked."Nothing. Is that bad?""It's bad if you're thinking about nothing because that means you're going crazy," she said before taking another bite."Give me that, and I'll feed you myself so you'll stop talking." I grabbed the spoon she was holding.Sarina resisted at first but couldn't do much about it. She was just wearing a robe, and I warned her that if I caught even a glimpse of any part of her body that was supposed to be covered, I'd take her right then and there.Since she said her body was still sore, she declared a "time freeze" on sex.-"Time f

Maximus' POV:"Where are we going, Maximus?" Sarina asked. It was our last two days in Las Islas, and I wanted to introduce her to Mariano before we returned to Pearlisia. She had been asking me since earlier, but I didn't want to tell her right away—I wanted to surprise her.Not everyone knew about me and my brother—it was a well-kept family secret. If my grandmother had her way, she'd bury it forever. She despised the fact that my mother had a child out of wedlock before she married my father, something she never forgave my mother for."Can't you just wait, wifey? We're almost there, and all your questions will be answered," I said, half-complaining.Why was this woman so impatient? Shouldn't she have patience since she was a nurse? How did she deal with stubborn, troublesome patients? "I'm just asking! Is the place we're going to such a big secret? For all I know, you've already brought other women there, and now you're acting mysterious." She even rolled her eyes at me.

Maximus' POV:"We're not in our house, so stop seducing me, wifey," I told her, though her eyes stayed fixed on my lips."Shit! I kissed her deeply and pulled her onto my lap.At that moment, I didn't care where we were.We were making out, and I was about to slip my hand under her blouse when someone spoke. "Just so you know, you're in my living room. There are plenty of people who might see you."Sarina instantly jumped off me, her cheeks turning bright red with embarrassment.I couldn't help but laugh at how flustered she looked."What? Are you suddenly shy now?" I teased. She stuck her tongue out at me before awkwardly clinging to my arm. Her eyes stayed glued to the man who had spoken—none other than Mariano. He walked over and sat on the couch opposite us."How are you, Mariano?" I greeted hi

Sarina's POV:I stared at Maximus, who couldn't bring himself to meet my gaze. We were back at the hotel, and he'd been silent since we left Mariano's house. Now, as we sat on opposite sides of the bed, preparing to sleep, I wondered what he could be thinking.Shouldn't I be the one avoiding his eyes after all the teasing I'd done when I thought he was blind? Yet, I had every right to be annoyed with him for making me feel like a fool. The thought made my eyes narrow as I glared at him.Coincidentally, he glanced at me, his eyes widening before quickly looking away.I couldn't hold it in any longer."Maximus!" My voice was loud enough that he couldn't pretend not to hear.He flinched in surprise before speaking. "I can explain, wifey. I didn't mean to deceive you. Like Mariano said, I did it because I wanted Miranda to leave me. I couldn't tell Grandma I didn't want to marry the woman she'd chosen for me. I knew she'd force her decision."I gaped at him, taken aback by how qui

Sarina's POV:Maximus didn't take his gaze off mine, and neither did I.He was truly attractive, and it felt as though he was pulling me in, ready to make me succumb to whatever his desires might be.He turned me around, bringing me closer to him, aiming to press me against his chest, but our eyes remained locked."Only you, wifey. You're the only one I will fuck. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't even have a hard-on," he said. His words were crude, yet the seriousness on his face made it hard to feel offended. His words swept me away, and I couldn't help but admit that my eyelashes fluttered excitedly.Slowly, my hand rose and caressed his cheek."I love you so much, wifey," he said sincerely, holding my hand—still on his cheek—pressing it further against his face as he closed his eyes."I really, really love you, Mrs. Sarina Salonga. And I want you to be mine alone, no matter what happens. Even after our contract ends, I will never agree to let you go," he said, his eyes wid

Sarina's POV:"How could you be so handsome?" Ruth asked Chase.Chase sat beside her in the living room, happily chatting with Ruth.I watched them. Though Ruth still held anger toward me, I couldn't help but feel happy seeing how much she doted on Chase.I hadn't expected her to accept him so warmly, despite Maximus and Gerald's assurances that she would.Even though Ruth still seethed at the sight of me, I could no longer stay angry with her.Perhaps it was time to try to understand her better, especially now that I knew she was one of the people who loved my son.I texted Maximus about his grandmother's arrival. He called, but I declined—didn't want Ruth to think I was tattling on her. Thus, Maximus and I texted instead."Daddy, handsome," Chase said, delighting Ruth even more. Her smile seemed about to split her face in two.Ruth stayed for lunch, happily feeding Chase herself.I noticed Lisa glance at me, aware of how poorly Ruth had treated me in the past.I shrugged

Sarina's POV:The last I heard about Ralph was that the police were holding him in custody. Now, Mariano was here because he believed my life as Bella might be in danger and that my fake husband could be involved in my disappearance as Sarina. As I recalled the memories of my awakening, I looked at Chase, happily playing with Jerome.I smiled, noticing how much he had changed since we arrived in Pearlisia.I was grateful that Maximus, not that beast Ralph, turned out to be Chase's real father. It was also confirmed that the medicine I had unknowingly taken had affected Chase's brain development.Fortunately, as long as he continued his medication and therapy, there was a good chance he would develop normally.I wished for nothing more than the end of this family chaos. I wanted Ralph caught and imprisoned, so he could no longer threaten me or Chase. Most of all, I wanted Maximus' grandmother to find peace with us, so Maximus, my true husband, could finally be happy.I once ask

Sarina's POV:I cried nonstop, sweat, snot, and tears streaming down my face as I shielded Chase with my body. He cried too.I felt Ralph kneel before me, so I curled in tighter to protect our child.I felt his hand on my head and braced for more abuse. To my surprise, he stroked my hair instead and, through his tears, said, "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, babe…"I looked up at him, and our eyes met.I saw remorse, sadness, and pity—maybe for me and our child."I'm really sorry. I don't know what came over me…" He continued, gently lifting my head.I feared he was pretending, that he would suddenly let go or slam my head onto the floor. The thought frightened me, and he noticed it."Please, babe, don't be scared. I'm sorry. This won't happen again," he said.He helped me sit up, and we both turned to look at Chase when he started crying again."I'm sorry, my son, if I scared you," he said, then picked him up.After that, he helped me stand and practically carried me to our b

  • Contract and Marriage   Chapter 107

Sarina's POV:Our life together was going well, and I had grown comfortable with him. I was happy, especially as the time to give birth approached.Ralph took such thorough care of me that he wouldn't let me do anything around the house.Everything would have been perfect, and I wouldn't have worried about a thing, if not for one nagging issue.According to my credentials, I was born in Los Burnham and had even studied there. But if that were true, why did I know how to speak Pearlisian?I didn't consider myself particularly smart or gifted—I believed my abilities were quite ordinary. Because of this, part of me doubted my past.Naturally, I didn't dare ask Ralph about it, afraid he might get upset, so I kept it to myself.I was content, and so was Ralph. He cared for me deeply, though I also sensed his possessiveness. He didn't allow me to go out on my own. I always had to be with him.I didn't really mind, but even when I stayed in the yard and talked to a passing neighbor,

Sarina's POV:I laughed at Maximus. It became clear why he had been so irritated when he saw me with Jason—it was because Jason had been my ex-boyfriend, first love, and childhood sweetheart.I also learned that Jason's family was wealthy, but his parents approved of me, just as my parents had approved of him.I remembered asking Maximus whether my parents disliked him. He had said they probably didn't, adding that they loved me deeply and would always support whatever made me happy.-The next day, Maximus had to leave, so it was just me and Chase at home.I was happy he had someone to play with, Jerome, who had helped a lot in his development.I sat by the poolside, reading while keeping an eye on Chase and Jerome as they played. Lisa had asked her daughter-in-law, Rachel, for help, so I offered to look after the children myself. We had also hired a nanny for Chase, who was supposed to arrive later, according to Aries.Maximus had gone with Mariano to his office, though I kn

Maximus' POV:I couldn't settle down.I had been happy that Sarina remembered something about us, but why had the timing been so off? Why was it that whenever she teased me, I always ended up at her mercy?I knew she hadn't recalled anything about Jason, but I still couldn't help feeling jealous. Even if she couldn't remember Jason, it didn't change the fact that he had been her first love. When she stepped out of our room earlier, I wanted to follow her. Something felt off, even though she had kissed me willingly just moments before. After that, it seemed our way of talking had changed. No, I couldn't let this happen. I wanted the cheerful, teasing Sarina back, even if she did rile me up sometimes. She had been in the bathroom, taking a shower, and I made sure to go first.I didn't want her to go straight to sleep, leaving us no chance to talk. I didn't want the night—or even a single day—to pass with her feeling any resentment toward me, not even a small sulk.I hadn't taken

Sarina's POV:I had just returned from the restroom, leaving Maximus and our son with Chase's pediatrician to hear the doctor's update on our child's development. Now, I was completely certain—Maximus was Chase's father. The joy on his face when Aries handed him the results and some paperwork to complete was beyond what even the greatest artist could capture. As I approached Gerald's office to meet my husband and son, a man suddenly approached me."Hi, Bella, right?" he said.I frowned, trying to recall if I knew him."Oh, you don't remember me? I have a pretty ordinary face, so I can't blame you," he added, scratching the back of his head. "We bumped into each other once when I was out jogging. I think you were on your way to work.""Ah, yes, I remember you now. What was your name again?" I asked, feeling embarrassed for not recalling his name when he clearly remembered mine. Though, 'Bella' hadn't really been my true name."Jason. Jason Castro," he replied."What brought

Maximus' POV:It was a relief Mariano was here. I felt nervous and scared for my wife and child.I immediately called Aries to inform him I couldn't make it to the office for now. If anything urgent came up, I asked him to send it to the condo.I didn't want to leave my wife and son alone, especially with only Lisa there to look after them. If something happened, they wouldn't be able to do much.I also asked Aries to check the hospital's security footage for the man Sarina had mentioned, but he couldn't track him further after leaving his spot.As Mariano wanted, we finally told Sarina everything about Ralph, the man she had once believed was her husband. She was deeply shocked and terrified when Mariano showed her photos of the real wife of that criminal, whose body had been found. The real Bella Drinx's body had been discovered in their backyard in Las Islas. Mariano had never stopped searching for answers regarding Sarina's disappearance, always on the lookout for cases invo

Bella's POV:Mariano joined us back at the condo, and from my observations, it seemed he had something he wanted to discuss—something I couldn't quite figure out.Lisa greeted us. She had become a temporary nanny for Chase, which meant she hadn't been going home. When we moved into the new house Maximus had built, she and her husband would live with us, according to Maximus' wishes."Come on, Mr. Chase. Let's change your clothes," Lisa said, taking Chase from me.My child understood Pearlisian because I spoke it to him whenever the shameless Ralph Drinx wasn’t around—a man who was neither my real husband nor Chase’s father.I headed straight to our bedroom to change into something more comfortable, then rejoined them. Both men sat across from each other on the couch, and I naturally sat beside my husband."Were you discussing something important?" I asked, not taking my eyes off Maximus.I didn't want him to hide anything from me, especially if it involved me or our son."We
