Elena
Wolfe“Get out of my sight Elena Wolfe.” Alpha Alaric’s booming voice still thundered in my head as I stumbled into the dark woods.
I’d killed someone, killed
a princess. I brought my shaky hands to my face, and my blood-stained fingers blurred as a wave of dizziness tore through me.I didn't have much time... I had to hurry before Alpha Alaric finished his last rites and came hunting for me, a fate worse than death.“Come on Elena, just a little farther,” I wheezed to myself, unable to stop the whimper from rising through my throat when my view of the shadowed trees blurred as my eyes filled with tears.
Nineteen years. That was how long I had been a part of Alpha Alaric’s pack and half of it I lived as an outcast because of my dead mates.
I had longed for freedom...a place where I was truly accepted, but not like this.
The snap of dried twigs behind me made me whip my head around and squint into the darkness, my heart instantly thumping faster inside me.
What the hell was that?
“Hello?” I called out stupidly before quickly cursing myself when my shaky voice echoed creepily in the quiet forest.
Crickets. “Hell,” I chuckled, shaking myself and wondering if this was how all the outcasts lost their minds to the dark woods.
I had heard stories of the place, the thick pine forest with thick, pulsing cobwebs holding the trees together like veins. The savage hunters and rogues made the shadows between the trees their home.
It was where wolves came to die or kill, and there wasn't a mother-fucker on the moon goddess’ green earth that was more tired than I was.
I must have been walking for hours, and yet the winding dirty path seemed to stretch on forever. My thighs felt like they would catch on fire and I slowly slithered to the ground, feeling the darkness rush behind my eyes until only the buzz of static in my ear pierced it.
#
Pain burst through my leg before I opened my eyes and shrieked loudly when I saw a red-eyed fox nibbling at my flesh.
“Get away from me! You piece of shit!” I screamed, throwing a handful of dried leaves at the creature who backed away with a snarl, it's razor-sharp fangs stained with my blood.
“Augghh,” I cried, cradling my stinging leg and trying not to look at the gorged flesh sticking out.
This was all my fault. Goddammit, why hadn't I just stayed quiet and taken it? How could Alpha Alaric have just thrown me out of the pack without another look back?
“After all I've done for you,” I hissed bitterly, feeling the light in my heart get snuffed out as pain wracked through me.
My heart hammered painfully inside me as more snarls came from the trees and I whirled around to see bright red eyes appearing from the shadows.
There must have been a dozen of the hounds circling around me and my fingers shook as I threw dirt every which way.
“N-no! No, get away from me!” I stammered, but the hounds must have sensed my weakness because they inched closer, their hideous faces scrunched up as drool dribbled from the corners of their snouts.
Devoured by hungry, wild hounds, I couldn't die like that!
“Get away from me!” I wheeze again, snatching up a broken-off tree branch that had been lying in the dirt beside me and gritting my teeth through the pain as I struggled to my feet.
Bella’s disdainful eyes flashed in my mind and I swallowed the whimper that rose to my throat as the weight of my loneliness settled over me.
Bella would have been right beside me in an instant if she were here, fighting tooth and nail until the very end.
I blinked warily, running deeper into the woods with the hounds snapping their jaws at my ankles before I whirled around suddenly, stabbing the stake into my belly with a deafening scream.
It felt like my midriff had been sawn through by a meat grinder and I almost collapsed as red-hot pain tingled up and down my body like electricity.
The hellhounds watched me from the shadows, and if I hadn't known any better I would have thought my sudden show of bravery had scared them.
Fuck that, they could have my leftovers after I was dead! I wasn't letting a couple of muscular dogs have me!
“Come on Elena...
you'rebetter off dead anyway.” I whispered, sniffing loudly before focusing all my attention on the sharp edge of the branch that pressed painfully into the sore skin of my belly.“Didn't ANYONE teach you to aim for the heart when you want to kill a wolf sweetheart?” A man’s honeyed voice filled my ear suddenly as I felt big manly hands creep up my sides before I looked down in shock to see one black claw stab bluntly at my heart.
I shrieked loudly, feeling my body tense as I jumped back, waving the stick at the intruder like a spear.
I could feel my nipples harden almost immediately under the man’s touch, the thick musk of his scent almost bringing me to my knees. A royal wolf! Fuck!
“W-what...w-who are you?” I stammered with my heart racing, and my eyes widened when I saw the second, larger wolf emerge from the shadows.
Huge, white wolves, their furs marked by old and new scars. Fuck! Fuck no! I knew who they were! No, no, no this couldn't be happening to me!
“By all means! Continue! Don't let us interrupt you! My brother and I...well, we so love to see a woman in distress, don't we Anthony?” The first wolf drawled, his crystal blue eyes dragging over my body in a way that made heat roll up my neck.
He was sizing me up, and not in a good way. It was the way a lion looked at a fucking deer before tearing its head off.
Almost like he wondered how my insides tasted.
I felt the moisture dry from my mouth when both wolves shifted into their human form, the fur sinking into a tan, white skin.
Anthony. So that was the name of the larger one. I could feel the rage rolling off him in waves as he glared hard at me, as though accusing me of something.
How long had they been standing in the shadows? Watching me? I felt a shudder creep up my spine at the thought.
“Please, just leave me alone, I don't want to have to fight you-” I stammered, summoning my courage to bare my fangs at the wolves and watching Anthony’s dark eyebrows rise with amusement.
If I didn't know any better I would have said he was intrigued. Intrigue was good. I needed to keep the royal fucks amused until I could get the hell out of here.
“Fight us? My, you are one brave woman.” Anthony spoke finally, and I felt the breath drain from my lungs at the thunderous sound of his voice. He was an Alpha, I could feel it, even as a rogue. The sheer command that laced his deep rumbling voice.
The heated look in his hazel eyes made me want to fall on my back and spread my legs for him.
Bella had always said wolves like this were dangerous, I couldn't risk them getting any closer.
I waved the stake between us wildly.
“Don’t make me have to use this!” I roared, charging at the wolves suddenly and watching a look of surprise split across the first wolf’s face before he smiled and...disappeared.
I could feel my heart thudding dully in my ears before I swerved around in the split-second that remained, lodging the wood firmly into the big wolf’s chest.
“Aww, sweetie...you really... shouldn't have done that.” The big wolf whispered and I felt my legs tremble as I stared down at the stake that had split in half the moment I stabbed it into the brick wall of his chest.
Huh? My brows knotted in confusion and everything seemed to move in slow motion as I wondered how I had barely even dented him!
I suddenly felt a man’s hot breath on my shoulder just before I caught the blonde hair of the man and his exquisitely tan face in the corner of my eye.
I felt pain stab into my neck and hands caressing my sides just as my world went dark.
Elena WolfeThere was static buzzing in my ears when I groaned awake, and my body felt like it had been torn apart and stitched back before I woke up.“Ugh,” I groaned, struggling to sit up and blinking when I realized I was in a cell of some sort, with only the bright yellow bulb swinging from the ceiling for light. My heart instantly thumped hard in my chest as I startled forward, a shriek hooking in my throat when my hands smashed into the gold food cart that had been parked by the corner of the bed.Where was I? How long had I been out? The memory of what had happened before the royal wolves knocked me out came flooding back in and it was all I could do to keep from making any sounds when I realized I was not alone in the room. The thick shadows moved at the corners of the room and my heart squeezed painfully in my chest when my gaze locked on a man’s unnerving blue eyes.“About time you woke up Rapunzel, Tony here’s been itching to sink his fangs into you the whole night.” The b
Michaels PovI turned to see Anthony with most serious look I had seen on him so far"Or you pretend to be our mate, Elena Wolfe," Anthony’s cold, taunting voice cut through the air. I observed the visible fear coursing through Elena, her face was drained in shock and eyes were filled with fear. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she clung to herself, seeking solace in her own embrace. It was sad to see but I knew the drama was just unfolding and I was in the front row to watch and had a opportunity to participate at anytime.I didn’t expect the hunt to be this thrilling a combined with the escalating tension, today an exceptional experience. "So, what’s your choice, princess?" I taunted, relishing my participation in the unfolding events like I said, I had the power to participate at any time. This was a captivating ride, and I had every intention to seize the opportunity.I chuckled,Not loud but loud enough to catch Elena’s attention, Her eyes briefly flashed with intense despise b
What had I done?I stared at my trembling hand, memories of today's events unfolding before me like a vivid dream. Was I still dreaming? Had I died in the forest, only to wake up in heaven? That might explain the luxurious duvet covering me—the same one I used to shield myself from the Alphas' predatory gazes. I vividly recall the blonde-haired Alpha with a wicked smirk, his eyes fixed on me as if he wanted to tear me apart, albeit in a strangely enticing manner. And of course, I couldn't shake the memory of my almost second kill.Today, it seemed, I was on a roll. His black hair, like his brother's, cascaded down in long waves, always impeccably arranged. I knew he harbored hatred towards me, likely biding and waiting for the right time to strike, like a predator patiently awaiting the perfect moment to devour its prey. However, there was something in the way he looked at me that stirred desires I mentally chastised myself for entertaining or maybe I was just mad. His hazel eyes had
Michael’s POVFew days laterI despise silence, but today marked a different scenario.Anthony and I exchanged silent glances, we were both curious awaiting an answer. Our attention was now fixed on Alfred, anticipating his words. Whether he genuinely found us intriguing or was merely jesting, I couldn't discern. This was the second time he had instructed us to wait.Under usual circumstances, I'd be seething with impatienceand maybe drawn out a few blood from him, but the gravity of the information Alfred possessed demanded a measure of restraint that I was surprised we had. So, begrudgingly, we chose patience over frustration."Do you want to die?" Anthony finally broke the silence."Seconded," I spoke up. Alfred raised his head, looking at us with a smile. However, he quickly realized the gravity of the situation, and his smile transformed into a serious expression as he spoke."Alright, she's a rogue.""We know that," Anthony's voice dripped with annoyance; he clearly wasn't in the
Elena’s POVThe Tempest within The door echoed with a resounding thud as I stumbled into my room, my emotions swirling like a tempest. The air was thick with an unspoken heaviness, and my heart thudded against my chest in a rhythm that mirrored the chaos within.I slammed the door shut behind me, a futile attempt to shut out the storm raging both inside and out. Clutching my chest, I stood there for a moment, a silent acknowledgment of the fear that gripped me. Slowly, I sank to the ground, the cool floor providing a stark contrast to the heat of my emotions.Closing my eyes, I tried to make sense of the whirlwind of events that had just unfolded, What I had done?. The room felt like a haven turned hostile, each piece of furniture a witness to my inner turmoil. I knew, deep down, that I had just opened a door to an irreversible path, one that would change the course of my life.Recalling the angry glares and the shock etched across their faces, I shuddered. I had expected resistance,
Anthony’s POVI sensed an underlying unease as I trailed the guard through the intricate corridors of the pack compound. Our footfalls reverberated, creating a disconcerting symphony within the thick silence enveloping us. Despite the faint fragrance of damp earth and distant pine trees wafting in from the open windows, an unsettling atmosphere persisted, shrouding the night in an ominous aura. The guard accompanying me, a steadfast figure whose eyes bore the marks of seasoned service, commenced detailing the grim events. "Alpha, it's a sight unlike any I've seen in my years of service. The guards... it's beyond mere death; they were brutally mutilated. It's as if a ruthless, savage force tore through them, leaving no shred of mercy in its wake."His words formed a chilling overture to the enigma that lay ahead. Despite the shiver his account sent down my spine, I maintained a stoic demeanor, wearing a mask of indifference to conceal any hint of emotion. "Proceed," I commanded, my voi
Micheal’s POVIn the dimly lit corridors of the grand mansion, my footsteps echoed with a hollow resonance, mirroring the relentless turmoil within. The rejection from Elena weighed heavily upon me, casting a pervasive shadow over each step I took. It had been several excruciating days since she had adamantly declined the opportunity to unite with us as our mate. With the passage of time, the wound of her refusal seemed to deepen, each moment carving away at my composure, leaving me feeling as though I were unraveling, spiraling into a state of utter turmoil. The constant churn of emotions was beginning to feel like a relentless descent into madness, a disquieting sensation that only seemed to intensify as the days wore on.Navigating through the treacherous terrain of rejection has never been my forte, and now, the future we once envisioned stands fragmented, resembling a shattered illusion. My wolf, an insatiable creature driven by an unrelenting hunger for Elena, seemed to take con
Elena’s POVI step cautiously out of my room, my heart pounding loud enough for me to fear that anyone nearby might hear it. Glancing around, I quickly scan the corridor, ensuring no servants or guards are lingering. I've meticulously planned this escape in secret for the past few days, keeping it hidden even from Emily. I knew she wouldn't approve, and her disapproval would only add to the weight on my heart. My palms are sweaty, and my breathing feels erratic as I tiptoe down the hallway, every step calculated to avoid detection. I can't afford to get caught; this escape is my only chance at freedom from the stifling confines of the palace. As I turn a corner, a group of servants chatters excitedly, their voices echoing down the corridor. Panic surges through me, and I press myself against the wall, praying they won't spot me. The sound of footsteps grows louder, and I hold my breath, willing myself to become invisible. Luck seems to favor me as the servants pass by, oblivious to my
Queen Elena Gotham“Bloody hell, are they fucking trying to wake the dead?” The man’s voice in my ear growled and I tried to bite down on the laugh that bubbled up inside me.The noisy grind of saws and breaking concrete made me screw my eyes open with a satisfied yawn and my lips formed a smile at Michael’s husky voice.“Good morning my love-” Anthony growled before pressing his lips to my head, the amusement twinkling in his eyes as I blushed furiously, untangling my body from their twinned limbs. It had been almost three weeks since the war and the birth of our son, Aiden Gotham, and Carla’s daughter Yulga.Anthony and Michael had moved me fully into their grand chambers and Gotham’s rebuilding was slowly coming together, with double the size of the men and cannons we had before.“Your Highnesses! The royal mistress’ carriage is ready,” A guard’s voice boomed in the hallway and my shoulders tensed immediately as I sucked in a breath.Shit, I had almost forgotten we were supposed t
Michael GothamAdrenaline shot through my body like liquid dynamite and I knew deep inside me part of it had to be the curse working. It felt like a rift was opening in my head as my wolf shifted into place, my muscles bulging until there were plate-sized grooves in my shoulders and biceps before I charged at the flood of beasts, taking out a decent chunk of them by swinging my long sharp claws in a messy arc.“Who dares to invade Gotham?” I roared at the beast’s approaching and the frail line of guards between us with their shields up. Fuck, with most of our firepower soldiers injured I knew the string of guards would be no match for the colossal beasts that were pounding their way towards us with thick white drool dragging at the corners of their mouths.“Markov! Eyes on the gates! We need to stop that thing from getting any closer!” I thundered at the gaunt wolf who flashed his fangs in understanding, knocking down more the the beasts when they got too close.I flew at the beast a
ANTHONY GOTHAM“What the fuck was that?” Michael’s harsh voice rasped and I snapped my head up in time for a woman’s haunting scream echo through the dark woods again. The thick line of blood smeared around Michael’s jaw from the carcass he bit into looked garish with the silvery moonlight beating down on us between the thick pine trees. What the hell was any woman doing out here by this time? And why the hell did it sound so familiar? A bolt of unease rips through my gut when the woman’s screams comes again, closer...more desperate. My feet are moving before I can stop myself just as I hear Michael curse behind me before his heavy footfalls tear through the space. The sight of a large beast on top of the red-haired woman made a bellow break from my throat as I watched the Cove beast’s eyes snap up before he flashed his fangs at me and disappeared. Those eyes…shit! Alfred? “Are you okay Carla? Bloody hell, what the fuck were you thinking coming up here by this time?” I roared, cuppin
Carla WinehouseMy belly felt like a volcano pit about to erupt as I glared down at the dark-haired woman who watched me back with a stony expression on her face.“You are not allowed in my chambers, Carla Winehouse, how many times do I have to say it for it to get through to your thick skull-” Elena spat acidly, her bright grey eyes narrowing dangerously as I fought to keep the shock from showing on my face.My heart started its harsh mechanical grinding in my chest and it was all I could do to keep from leaping at her.Who the hell did she think she was?I stalked toward her slowly, waiting until I was only inches from her stupid perfect face to snap my claws around her neck, surprised when her hands shot up to squeeze my arms.“Just because you’ve been away for however long you have Elena, doesn't mean that anything’s changed in this palace,” I growled, tightening my claws around her neck before flicking her wrist away when she beat at my chest and shoved her into the wall. The rag
Michael GothamMy mouth tasted like a rat had curled up and died in it when I came to.“Michael? Can you hear me?” The rogue’s scratchy voice made me drop my fangs instinctively.Just how close was the motherfucker to me? Bloody hell if I didn't know any better I'd have sworn he had a crush on me or something! My eyes rolled around in my head before I dared to open them, the black pinhole of my vision slightly easing as I glanced around the dark room and realized I was hissing. What the hell was up with that?My veins felt like they were filled with molten lava and it was all I could do not to claw at the beautiful woman that strutted into the room only minutes after.“Could you get me more of this Markov? Please?” I whispered when he hesitated, still cradling Elena in my arms and watching his gaze flickered between the two of us before he snatched the blood bag from my hands, muttering curse words under his breath.“I'm not your fucking butler Gotham, get your own fucking blood next
ELENA GOTHAM“M-Michael?” I gasped breathlessly, inching hesitantly toward his cold face before I saw his lips twitch and I shot across the room like a freight train from hell.“Careful Elena! Heck! The baby!” Markov’s scathing hiss was quick behind me but I didn't care as I wrapped my hands around Michael’s hard body, marveling at how much bigger he had gotten. It was like he had changed overnight! “Oh my goodness! Freaking hell, you’re alive! You don't know how happy I am!” I managed to choke through the tears that were now streaming down my face.“I can see it,” Michael grunted and I pulled back to see the ghost of a smile on his face, noting how the dark circles around his eyes were gone.It felt too good to be true.“W-what herb is this? Did the nursemaids put you on some miracle moonshine or something? Heck, this feels just like one of Alaric’s experiments-” I chuckled unsurely now, my hands shaking on his chest before Michael’s hands circled mine, the sight of his black veins
ELENA GOTHAMThe soft chirping of the birds outside made a smile spread across my lips before I screwed my eyes open with a lazy yawn. The sun fell in yellow slants through the thick grey floor-length curtains and I allowed myself a contented squeal. My entire body felt pleasantly sore and I pressed my fingers to my lips as memories of Anthony and me last night flashed through my mind.I had never imagined my little seduction would work so well with a baby between us and my body throbbed as the memory of his need and longing washed over me again.I wasn't going to lose Anthony now or let that Carla wench play her silly little games in Gotham anymore.“Emily!” I screamed, yawning as I shuffled out of bed to splash cold water on my face, eyeing my straight black hair that parted around a slender oval face in the mirror. My breath caught in my throat when I saw how swollen my lips were from my husband’s kisses and heat fanned up my neck to my cheeks. The muted sounds of soldiers parading
ANTHONY GOTHAM“God I've missed you so fucking much-” I growled, groaning as pleasure shot through my body and goosebumps skittered over the bulk of my arms where I had pinned her hands against the wide wood bed frame.Elena’s porcelain face contorted in pleasure and pain as I nibbled at her lips, plunging deeper into her pussy and forcing back a shiver when she flexed around my cock.“I've missed you too Anthony…I thought…FUCK! I thought I'd never see you again-” My Queen panted, and I relished the way her breath caught in her throat when I rolled one pink rubbery nipple between my fingers, watching the way she arched her back into me.My entire body felt like it had gone up in flames and blood pounded in my ears as I plunged faster and faster between her splayed legs, allowing my eyes to squeeze shut as her moans grew louder and louder.I was almost sure the creak of the bed hitting the wall could be heard from a mile away as the sound of my balls hitting the soft round moons of her
ANTHONY GOTHAMI charged into the room faster than a freight train going off the rails when Elena’s scream tore through the palace.“What the hell?” Markov hissed, wide grey eyes swinging to face me before we both shot off.“Shit,” I hissed, my heart thumping with every step. Was Elena hurt? Was the palace under attack?! I felt my breath hitch in my throat so violently that nausea rolled through my body.Hurt and terror thrummed in my chest as I broke through the double doors, catching Elena just as she flew away from my brother’s pale body, her grey eyes wide with fear.“What the fuck is going on?” I roared, my voice harsher than I would have intended when the woman’s teary eyes met mine.“It's Michael…he…he-” Elena hiccuped, whipping her head from side to side before I caught her in my arms.I couldn't help the way my heartbeat spiked in my chest and held her in my arms reflexively. What the hell was she doing? I didn't like admitting that seeing her so heartbroken scared me, and c
