"No, never will I get married to someone I do not love. Oh, you think you can just kick me out if the family, then trick me back into the house and then decide to marry me off?" Rachel argued rebelliously.

Bang!

"You don't talk back to your grandmother "

After hitting his hand on the wooden table, Victor shouted at Rachel. Rachel screamed and took a few steps away from Victor.

"It's getting out of hand, we need to interfere before their conversation results to violence" Rapheal whispered to Mr Vic outside the house.

"You think it is okay to interfere in their family's business? We might be trespassing." Mr Vic whispered back.

"No, it's not trespassing, we are trying to stop then from fighting. I thought you said you are acquainted with her father?" Raphael asked in a low voice

Mr Vic took a deep breath and knock on the door.

"Who's there?"

An unfriendly voice sounded from the inside. The tone of the voice alone want to make Raphael turn back but he is determined to get Rachel out of the situation she is in.

"Uh-huh, I'm Mr Vic, one of Rachel's father's friends. Can I come in?"

Mr Vic asked in a shaky voice.

Not long after, the door opened. Mr Vic, Raphael and his security entered into the house, the hosts were suprised to see twoote unfamiliar people in their house and they all had questioning gaze on their face except Rachel who was suprised to see them

"What are you doing here and who ate these people?" Victor questioned.

He spoke with fear, probably because of the security behind Rachel, he must have thought the person is a cop.

Mr Vic who doesn't want to be seen as an intruder quickly twist the situation.

"Initially, I came here to give condolences to the family for the loss of my friend but seeing that Rachel is not at work, I will have some words with her too"

"What is Mr Raphael doing here?" Rachel asked moving closer to Mr Vic.

"We are sorrtwe disturb you people, this is Mr Raphael, my boss and Rachel's boss too" Mr Vic days pointing to Raphael. "we were on our to a business meeting when I decided to meet you. I told him it isn't compulsory to follow me but he insisted. He hid really mad Rachel isn't at work "

Mr Vic explained.

"Oh she now has a job? Unfortunately Mr Raphael, Rachel won't be working with you anymore cause she ys getting married soon" Rachel's grandmother said

"I told you grandmother, I'm not getting…"

"Come on Rachel, don't be disrespectful. It's ok if you don't want to get married, grandmother and I are just trying to look out for you and make sure you make no mistake in choosing your lover" Victor interrupted Rachel, trying to act like a nice guy before Mr Vic and Co.

Rachel was suproyby the sudden change of agenda but she didn't utter a word.

Raphael who understood Victor's action whispered some words into Mr Vic's hear.

"You see, Rachel cannot get married now. She is an employee of Mr Raphael and she signed a work contract for three years with him so within this period, she is not allowed to get married. It is in the contract she signed" Mr Vic explained to the family.

"You can do that, what kind of contract doesn't allow employees to get married?" Rachel's grandmother asked.

"Actually, she signed as an housekeeper and my boss cannot tolerate lateness due to family problem or pregnancy, especially pregnancy". Mr Vic replied

"I'm unconcerned, my granddaughter will be preparing for her wedding. Your contract will be terminated".

"Ma, terminating the contract isn't easy. First, Rachel must have used uo to a year before wanting to terminate the contract. Second, Rachel must compensate the company with double the amount the contract is worth. The contract is worth 50000 dollars so she must pay us 100000 dollars within six month after asking for contract termination, and after paying the money, she will have to work extra three months until we find a replacement for her. I guess it's quite impossible for her to stop working anytime soon".

Mr Vic's explaination shocked the family including Rachel herself, she never knew she signed something like that. Honestly, she only skimmed through the contract and since she needs work desperately, she signed it.

Currently, she is grateful she signed the contract but she knew the contract have bounded her to too many things, sge planned on re-reading the contract later.

The party that shocked the family is the amount of money they have to pay, they are just an average family, paying that kind of money will really affect them.

"What did yuu say her job is again?" Victor asked.

"Mr Raphael's personal assistant " Victor replied honestly. After his reply, Raphael whispered some words into his ear

"Mr Raphael is considerate enough, he is ready to let Rachel quite her job instantly is she will pay 200000 dollars as compensation"

Raphael intentionally gave that kind of offer to further tie the hand of the family, the though of Rachel getting married irritates him a lot.

'Do poor people also arrange marriage for their children? I thought only royals and billionaires do such a thing' Raphael thought to himself.

"This is unacceptable, the groom family already planned on paying off your father's debts and give allocations to the family only if you will marry their son " Rachel's grandmother blurted out.

"What!? This is human trafficking! Yiy are trying to sell your granddaughter?" Raphael blurted out getting irritated by the grandmother.

"This is a family issue, non of your business" the grandmother threatened

"You should be arrested" Raphael concluded frowning his face and showing his s disgust.

"Do not be offended Mr Raphael, it's okay that our daughter works in your company but can we at keaty know your company's name?" Victor asked and took his phone to search the company's name on internet.

He suspected Rachel trying to deceive them so he needs some confirmation before knowing what to decide because it affects the family's dignity.

Mr Cavin is one of the successful entrepreneurs in their street block, he claimed that he and Rachel's father are planning to get their children married and he won't let go of that even after Rachel's father's death.

"The name of my employer's company is Carl's Technology. You can search for it if you've never heard of it"

Of course Victor have heard of Carl's Tech, it is one of the biggest companies in Starland City. He doubted the authenticity of the information so he searched the company and the owner.

"I'm sorry young man, what is your name?"

Rapheal didn't reply, he let Mr Vic be one his spokesman.

"I've told you earlier, my employer's name is Mr Raphael, Mr Raphael Carlos" Mr Vic replied.

Seeing that the name corresponded with the one he is seeing on the internet, Hus doubt was cleared.

Carlos Hope, the real owner of the company, Rapheal's father so Rapheal inherited the company. It is obvious from the company's name that it is owned by the Carlos family.

Victor was speechless, one of the most successful business men in the city is standing in his house, the internet even brought the picture of Rapheal.

So his niece is working with the CEO of Carl's Tech and he is planning on terminating her contract, is that a good idea? Victor had a lot in his mind and he doesn't know what to say.

"But here, there is an advert that you are in need of an assistant, I thought you said Rachel is already an assistant?" Victor asked suspiciously.

This time, Mr Vic was speechless, he totally forgot to put down the advert. He looked at Rapheal with to helpless look to help him find an answer.

Rapheal stood still, eyeing the family. Then he whispered some words into Mr Vic's ear.

"Oh, that's right. Now that you know who we are, you know must have known that our time is prescious too, we have to go now and the company's lawyer will cone later with a contract termination. Anyway, you should also prepare 200000 dollars to compensate the company" Mr Vic said and lead his boss out of the house.

Looking at her relatives again, Rachel quickly took her hand bag and followed Mr Vic

Victor and grandmother followed behind Rachel trying to stop her. Only the grandmother was suprised when she saw Rapheal's luxurious car.

Victor was amazed too but stopping Rachel is more important to him.

"Hey Rachel, remember it was your father's dying wish to get you married to him s friend's son. Fulfilling that for him will honor him a lot. Victor shouted not leaving the door, his words really touched Rachel so she halted her steps.
