Fred's POV

I had Zara pinned to the wall of my open room when Bella walked into the both of us in such an awkward position.

She paused to look at the both of us, she was probably in disbelief. And was using that moment to assimilate the shock.

"Really?" She cleared her throat, as she walked into my room.

I let go of Zara, as I focused my attention on Bella.

I was so surprised to see her.

"When did you get back?" I asked her, as she looked at Zara, as though she was about to chop Zara's head off.

"I got back yesterday. I even attended your wedding. But, I guess you were too busy with your new wife. You didn't have time to notice me." She raised an eyebrow, as she struggled to keep her gaze on me.

She couldn't stop staring at Zara.

And I only wondered the kind of thoughts that ran through Bella's head.

"Don't say that. You know how hectic yesterday was for me. The media kept trying to interview me, and avoiding them was a chore on its own" I explained to her.

"Who is she?" Zara asked, looking back at Bella.

I wondered if they had met each other in the past because they didn't seem to like each other at first sight.

"I am his girlfriend? Is there something wrong with that?" Bella replied, raising an eyebrow.

"You didn't tell me that you had a girlfriend?" Zara turned to look at me.

"He didn't need to," Bella answered almost immediately.

"Both of you just stop it. She isn't my girlfriend, she is my close friend. And I would appreciate it, if you would give us some privacy" I sent Zara away.

"This isn't over yet" Zara whispered, as she walked past me.

I still couldn't wrap my head around the fact that Zara had the guts to speak to me in that tone.

"So, you are now in love with her? So soon,?" Bella was furious, and I didn't even understand the reason for her anger.

What was happening in my house? Why was everyone getting angry?

"No, I am not. What on earth made you even think that way?" I asked her, and she snorted.

"It doesn't matter" she hissed, and was about to walk away, when I held her by the hand and pulled her back.

"Did you want to be in her place instead?" I whispered in Bella's ear, as I placed my lips on her neck, while I perceived her scent.

"Stop your nonsense, Fred. I don't like this" She turned and resisted my touch.

"I am going to rest in my room now. I don't want to talk to you right now" Bella responded and walked away.

I bit my lower lip, as I watched her shake her beautiful behind in front of me.

She was only my friend, but sometimes I do feel like I should be with her.

But, my mum objected to us so many times, she doesn't even like the sight of her, not to talk more about Bella being my wife.

Zara's POV

This man has taken a step too far, and to think he just left me on the bed just like that.

"Ouch" I was still venting out my anger when I bumped into that girl.

"Watch where you are going" she advised me, and I scoffed.

"I am sorry you also have eyes. I think you should do yourself a favor and take your advice. '' I took a deep breath, looking away from her.

"I see that Fred has been giving you some confidence. But, trust me you won't last in this house" she spoke, and I wasn't sure if she was telling me that as a fact, or if she was threatening me.

"I don't even want to last in this madhouse. I have barely spent twenty-four hours here. And I am fed up with you all" I clapped back at her, as she squinted her eyes.

"Why did you marry Fred?" She questioned me.

"And how is it your business? Are you the one I married?" I raise my eyebrows at her.

She was pissing me off.

"If you knew what I meant to him, then you would know that it is very much my business, '' she replied, and I only nodded my head sideways.

"I'm sure you don't mean a lot. Because he would have married you if you meant so much to him. So just get out of my way '' I was tired of this banter.

I didn't have the strength to put up with her. I tried to walk around her, but she held my wrist and pushed me back.

"Don't you dare walk out on me when I am talking to you" she threatened me.

"Sorry, what did you say your name is again?" I lifted an eyebrow, as I pressed my lips against each other.

"Bella," she replied, and I nodded my head continually.

"Alright Bella, please let me go. I am having a terrible headache right now. "I told her, and she frowned at me.

"You can't even have a proper conversation with someone. I am sure you are only after Fred's money" She looked at me with suspicion.

"Of course, I am only after his money. Should I be after his life instead?" I raised an eyebrow at her, while I folded my hands.

"I'm sure that is what you wanted to hear right? Now get lost" I pushed her to the side, while I walked past her.

"You are going to regret this" I heard her yelling behind me.

I wonder how long she is going to be staying in this house. We just met each other, and she is already giving me a headache.

I don't care if she is Fred's girlfriend or his close friend. I just want her to stay in her lane. I am not interested in him anyway, he is not my kind of man.
