When the meeting ended, Damien and Abel arrived back to the company office and were also accompanied by Rowan. As they approached the lobby, they noticed Regina standing at the reception while filling out a form. Damien paused as she turned her head to look at them suddenly. Among the three friends, Rowan had always shared a closer bond with Regina and seeing her here made him happy instantly.

“Hey, what are you doing here?” Rowan greeted her as his face lighting up with a wide smile.

Regina responded softly, her gaze lingering on Damien for a moment. “I am here to apply for the competition.”

“That is great!” Rowan exclaimed. “I’m certain you will win this! Your company is already doing fantastic work.” He turned towards Damien, his enthusiasm was at peak. “You already know the winner, Damien.”

Damien simply stood there while saying nothing and maintaining his neutral expression.

Abel stepped in with his curious and a little playful tone. “Regina, I don’t understand you. In this age o

Behind Damien, Rowan and Abel were also standing and observing the scene. Rowan did not acknowledge Anna’s presence, and turned to Abel. "I’m getting late," he muttered, "See you soon."Once Rowan left, Abel stepped closer to Anna, his face brightening with a smile. "It’s great seeing you, partner." He enveloped her in a warm hug and added, "How long has it been? Almost a decade since we last met?"Anna returned the hug, her eyes softened at his old and kind attitude. "How are you, Abel?" she asked.Abel shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, I’m just surviving." He then gestured toward the door. "Care to join your old friend for a coffee?"Anna nodded without hesitation. They found themselves in a coffee shop nearby and sat at a secluded corner table. It had been years since they had seen each other. As they sipped their coffee, Anna said, "What’s up with Rowan?"Abel let out a long sigh, shaking his head. "Same old drama," he said. "Regina is still chasing Damien, and Damien, despite everythi

“Damien Callahan! Get out of my room!” Damien snapped out of his stupor, still looking at her. His reaction was slow and dazed. She grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it at him.“Get out!” She screamed.“Yeah…” Damien muttered as he walked out of the room, still in a daze. She quickly locked the door behind him, leaving Damien standing outside while he blinked in confusion. As he leaned against the wall, his mind unwillingly replayed what he had just seen. Her wet hair was framing her face while a droplet of water was trailing from the tip of her nose to her plump lips, before sliding down her chin, her neck and finally coming to rest on the curve of her chest. He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. In high school, she had always been beautiful, but now she looked like Aphrodite herself. A warmth spread through his body, making him suddenly uncomfortable in his own skin. He tugged at his tie and unbuttoned his shirt collar, feeling the heat rising in him. He needed ai

On the other hand, Ronan smiled with satisfaction as he looked at his watch. He wasn't going to let anyone help Anastasia Spencer. That woman should have thought twice before challenging Regina. Ronan Arnello would never let her win this time. It was Regina's time to shine.Meanwhile, on Damien's side..."Boss! She completed the formalities," the secretary announced.Damien walked over to see Anastasia's application details. Back at the mansion, it was dinner time. Anastasia was there to have a meal with Damien, and after that, she had to go to meet Austin. She needed a way to tell him that she would be leaving home at this time for an important meeting. Meanwhile, he was curious about how she managed to get A&A Fashion House behind her back. They were one of the biggest fashion and jewelry brands in Europe and were now rapidly expanding in North America. It was not easy for a no name artist to represent them. He always knew that she had some tricks upto her sleeves but what are they. She said, “I have a meeting soon. I need to go out.”He did not ask her where she was having such late night meeting. He nodded and asked about the matter that was pressing on his mind. “You submitted the application.”She said, “Yes, I did.” After a while, she could not help but asked him, “Damien, do you also think like others that I am doing this to gain your attention and unnecessarily fight with Regina or sabotage he

As Anna was leaving, Mrs Luna handed her a key and said, "Master wants you to keep the car."Anna was really surprised to hear that and she asked, "He is giving me his car?"After everything, she did not know that he would give him a car. It was not that he was stingy but he did not care for her. Knowing that he took a step ahead in her direction made her feel so many things at once. Mrs Luna nodded at the girl who was dazed to assure her that it was true. Anna quickly grabbed the car keys and ran outside where Damien's Rolls Royce was parked. She laughed and grinned as she opened the door and slipped inside but not before yelling, "My husband is the best in the whole wide world!" She really loved the car! Not because it was expensive but because it was his favourite car and he did not like to share it. Inside his room, Damien muttered, "Materialistic girl! How can she be so happy over something so fleeting and materialistic?"His phone rang after some time and it was Abel who was c

From behind him, Ronan’s voice broke the tension. "You were actually thinking of trusting her, weren't you?" He smirked, continuing, "Damien, you need to open your eyes. Regina is right here and has always has been there for you. She is the one who loves you truly and yet you keep ignoring her. Do you know how much you are hurting Regina? She stayed by your side when Anastasia left you and this is how you repay her?”Abel who had been standing next to Ronan turned with a glare. "Ronan, stop poisoning his mind. Damien knows what he wants. And for heaven's sake, stop trying to push Regina onto him every chance you get."Ronan scoffed, shaking his head. "Anastasia Spencer is nothing but trouble. Damien studied him for a moment before speaking. “I’m going to ask you something, and I need you to be honest with me. Can you do that?” Ronan opened his eyes, hesitant, but eventually nodded. “Do you love Regina? Not as a friend, but as a romantic partner?” Damien’s tone was firm and curious. “What?” Ronan looked startled. “Be honest, Ronan.” Ronan was quick to respond, his voice firm and sincere. “I don’t! I don’t see her that way at all. She is like the sister I never had. A little sister. I love her a lot, but not romantically.” He paused, his voice softening. “But she means the world to me. She has been there for me through everything, good and bad. She is someone I share my heart and soul with. Damien, I don’t love her as a romantic partner, but she is still my soulmate. Damien arrived at an abandoned property on the outskirts of town. The place looked abandoned, the kind of place one would pass without a second glance. He walked up to the door and rang the bell. Once. Twice. Ten times. Finally, the door creaked open, revealing a dishevelled Ronan. “You look like shit,” Damien said, tossing a bottle of whiskey to him. Ronan caught it instinctively and rasped, “What are you doing here?” “Came to find you, asshole,” Damien replied, brushing past him to step inside. Oh, the inside of the house was not as bad as the inside. Someone had made it livable. Ronan, too exhausted to argue, stared at the bottle in his hands. “Are you gonna drink this?” Damien rolled his eyes. “Anna would kill me first before diabetes would kill me, if I did drink it.” Ronan chuckled dryly and asked, “Why are you so scared of your girlfriend?” Damien smirked. “Actually, she is my wife.” Ronan blinked, his momentary exhaustion was replaced by shock. “What… when? Mr. Arnello slammed his hand against the table, crashing the decorations to the floor. He was so angry and Delilah, who was used to his anger, did not flinch. “How dare she!” he roared, his fury directed at Anastasia Spencer and her father. The thought of being humiliated and forced to pay five million because of them burned like acid in his chest. “That crippled old man and his brat of a daughter, unbelievable!” “Matt!” Delilah’s voice cut through his tirade. He turned to her, his face twisted with anger. “Did you see what happened today?” “I did,” she said firmly, crossing her arms. “And maybe if you weren’t so biased, you would see the bigger picture too!” Matteo’s jaw clenched. “That little Spencer girl—” he began, his voice was a venomous snarl. “How dare she cause a rift between our families! Back at Damien’s mansionWhen Damien arrived home, the house felt unusually quiet. Neither his wife nor Adeline was there. Mrs. Luna informed him that Anastasia hadn’t returned from the office yet, and Adeline had gone out for work. Left alone, he decided to head to the gym, where he found Caleb practicing the moves he had taught him during their last session.Atleast, someone was home. “Hey, buddy. When did you get here?” Damien asked, his voice warm. He had grown so accustomed to Caleb’s presence in his home that, without realizing it, he had embraced the role of a father figure. Caleb, for his part, already saw Anastasia as a mother. Finally, Caleb was keeping the fences around his heart down and letting these two people come inside. “I came after school,” Caleb replied with a shrug. “I missed you guys.” Damien suppressed a smile and nodded. “Alright, let’s practice some more.” As they worked out, Caleb paused and asked, “When will Anna and Addy be back?” Damien sighed, wi

Alongside them, Mr. Arnello and his guards entered the scene with matching intensity. Delilah, watching from a distance, sighed deeply. This is about to turn into a massive mess, she thought, deciding once again to stay out of it. “Daddy, she has hurting my friend!” Eleanor whined, pointing a trembling finger at Anastasia, who still had a firm grip on Ceecee’s hair. Politician Scuderi’s expression darkened as he turned to Anastasia. “Young lady, release her now, or I will have you arrested!” Anastasia met his threat with cold defiance. “I dare you.” “Guards! Anastasia’s focus sharpened. “Did you say Eleanor Scuderi pushed you?” Adeline nodded, frustration was evident on her face. “Not directly. It was her sidekick. She deliberately knocked into me, and when I asked her to be careful, she flipped it around and blamed me. Then she started insulting me, calling me fat and even accusing me of sleeping with producers and directors to get jobs.” Anastasia’s fists clenched. “And then?” She was going to beat up those bitches for hurting her best friend. Moments later, a middle-aged woman entered and noticed the young woman shivering in the corner. Concerned, she approached her carefully while kneeling down. “Are you okay?” she asked softly. Adeline looked up with tear-streaked eyes, unable to hold back her emotions. She didn’t know why, but in that moment, she missed Poppy and Austin so much. She also longed for Anastasia. She felt utterly shaken and vulnerable at this moment. The middle-aged woman placed a comforting hand on Adeline’s shoulder. “Child, are you okay?” she repeated gently. She saw that Adeline was not looking fine and as a woman, she felt that it was her duty to help a person in need. Overcome with emotion, Adeline clung to the woman’s leg while tears streaming down her face. With one arm, she hugged the woman’s leg tightly, while the other cradled her stomach protectively. Fear overwhelmed her. Why hadn’t she listened to her intuition and stayed home? She could have lost her baby just now. “Dear, are you with
