Eric- Leaving the cloths on their face, I knew there was a chance it would kill them, but I just hoped I had long enough to deal with the situation first. I couldn’t afford for them to wake up though. If they did, it would be bad for everyone involved. After getting them taken care of, I slipped out and locked the door. It could only be locked from the inside, but it would keep anyone from going in at least. “Can you hear them talking? I just took care of two of their guys and want to make sure they weren’t alerted.” I linked Tate. “I can, and they are still trying to decide how to get out of here undetected.” He responded shortly after. Instead of responding, I moved throughout the remainder of the school. I found Matt and Drew knocked out in a classroom, but as I expected, they were still alive. It took me a few minutes to get them to wake up. When they were back on their feet, they shifted back into their wolf forms. I was tempted to send them out but decided to keep them wit
Leilani- “How can you help? You don’t exactly look like you can fight.” I heard a kid say, with a condescending tone, from behind me. “Mind your tongue. That is my mate you are speaking to.” Eric spoke as he looked over my shoulder. “I have control now.” I answered, although it didn’t bother me about how the kid spoke. “Man, you should have seen it. One minute she was struggling and then she opened her eyes, and it was like something changed in her.” Archer said. “I heard Tate’s voice when he alerted everyone to what was going on. It snapped me out of my meditation. Since I wasn’t sure if it was Mavis or not, I returned to my meditation, but this time it was different. It was like I had my energy restored completely. I tried to work as quickly as I could, I just wish I had done it faster.” I added. “Are you sure you have control?” Eric asked, but then quickly added, “It isn’t that I am doubting you, but I don’t want things to go wrong, and everyone to be put in danger.” “I won’
Leilani-It didn’t take long for him to climb through the window. Thankfully, he was careful not to make any noise. Brook was the next one inside, followed by the others. Archer remained outside with me.My heart started racing at the thought of them getting caught, so I focused as hard as I could to keep the vision in their heads. They seemed not to notice as Eric lifted his brother off the ground and passed him through the window to Archer. One by one they removed people from the room. It was taking a bit longer than I liked, but at least they were almost done. Archer was leaning everyone, that was passed out the window, against the wall. When it was just one kid left, I felt the link slip. Before I could say or do anything, to let Eric know I lost the connection, the man that had been pacing made a grab for the kid that was left. Eric directed Brook to take the others and get out.“How the fuck is this possible?” The man yelled at Eric, holding the kid in front of him as if using h
Eric-I knew she was in heat, I thought I noticed it out in the hall, but it hadn’t truly set in until we had moved to the window. Since we were mates, I didn’t think I needed to ask for permission to do this. Besides, I have been dreaming about the day she would go into heat so I could fill her with my seed.Hearing her beg for me, was beyond anything I could have asked for. Just hearing how much she needed me, on top of knowing how much I needed to be inside of her was thrilling. Not wanting to disappoint her, I moved my hands to her hips and quickly thrust inside of her.Now I understood why Desmond had let loose with her the way he had. The need for more filled me and before I could understand what was going on, I was pounding into her like a mad man. I knew her heat was affecting me in ways that were beyond my comprehension. All I could think of, smell, or see was her. My mind was fully intoxicated by the scent of her heat. With each thrust I did inside her, I moved faster and ha
Leilani-I wasn’t ready yet. She couldn’t be here already, there was still so much I needed to learn first. I thought I had more time.“That was quite the show. I especially enjoyed watching you two fucking like bunnies in there. I find it exciting to know that my dear sister might be carrying your child and once again I will be taking away her hopes of a family. It is perfect really, considering that it all started this way.” Mavis laughed as she continued to clap.Petrified by her being here, all I could think about was everyone else that could be in danger now. I had hoped I would be able to face her alone, because she could seriously hurt or even kill everyone else that tried anything against her. What if someone walked out and saw her? They might get it in their mind to attack. Then there was Archer, who might decide to show her who he was and then he might be in worse danger than he should be. This was not good at all.At hearing her words, I wondered if it was possible if my ac
Leilani- I spent an hour looking for Jarod. Even going as far as trying a locator spell, I produced nothing. I didn’t think I did the spell wrong, since I tried again with Eric. I also had Archer leave to go to the field of flowers, so I could try on him as well. Jarod was the only one I couldn’t locate. It was as if he was wiped out of existence all together. Continuing to look around the house, I looked for a sign or something of what could have happened to him. The longer this took, the more valuable time I was losing. “I found something.” Archer said from across the room. Moving to his side, he handed me a folded piece of paper with my name on it. Opening the paper, I noticed it was a note from Jarod. Hoping it would tell me where he was, I began to read the letter aloud. “I am guessing if you found this letter, then I was trapped inside the room. If that is the case, I am going to need you to let me out. I have cracked the code on the hex, but I have a suspicion that I am not
Leilani-“Come on, I know you are wanting to get this done, but you need to snap out of it.” I heard Archer’s voice in my mind.It wasn’t the first time he has tried to get me to come out of my trance, but I have been ignoring him. He was right, I was trying to get this done. I know I already missed the first six hour break I was supposed to do, but I was doing well right now.Unlike the first time I did this, I knew what I was doing now. I have learned so much more and I felt completely fine. If anything, I felt as if I was fully rested and full of energy.“Eric is here.” Archer’s words hit like a brick wall.Okay, I don’t know if he was just saying it to get me to come out of it, but whatever the case was, it worked. Snapping out of my state of mind, I looked around the room and Eric was indeed sitting on the couch. It almost seemed as if he were looking at me, but I knew he couldn’t be.“I was wondering when you were going to come out of it.” Eric’s voice was like music to my ears.
Eric-With everything I possessed, I had to try to keep Desmond at bay. He was ready to come out and rip out Mavis’s throat, for forcing herself on me and kissing me. I had been able to push her off, but she was trying to do it again. If I didn’t know that she would kill us if my wolf attacked her, I probably would have let him out. I didn’t stand a chance against a witch as powerful as Mavis, or any witch for that matter. Unlike Leilani, I wasn’t anything special like that.“I don’t care how much you try. I will never be with you.” I gritted out, doing my best to keep her lips from touching mine again.“You know I can force you right?” She whispered, just before I felt the slickness of her tongue as it ran along the base of my neck.It felt like pins and needles were being dragged across my skin. Just her touching me like this made me feel ill. I just hope that Leilani couldn’t see this and that she was once again in her meditation.I had hated leaving her as I had. Jarod had gotten
I wanted to thank you all for your support over these months. I haven't decided if I am going to do another book in the Contract series, but I will be working on other books that I hope you all love. I have another book called Alpha Ryker that I will be focusing on this summer. It will be different than my typical stuff, but I am excited to write it. If you enjoy apocalyptic romance, I hope you will check out Alpha Ryker. Just like all my werewolf romance books, I try to bring a twist to them to make them different from the typical stories. The book has already started, and I will be focusing on that book next. Thank you again for all of your support. I would love to hear what you think of this book, so I may improve my writing. Best wishes, Raelyn Karson
Brooklyn- I couldn’t believe it. It has been five years since that fateful night with Mavis. Nearly six since when I first met my mate, Tate. Looking back on everything that has happened over the years, I couldn’t be more grateful for how far we have all come. When I first came to the Black Fang pack, I never would have imagined that I would be happy, with two daughters, a son on the way, a loving mate, a pack, and a family that I loved with all of my heart. Since the night with Mavis, the program I had created had taken off without a hitch. With Leilani’s help, we were able to track down everyone that needed our help and even find homes for everyone. We had to deal with a few trouble packs, but once again Black Fang banded together to take them on. Now my father was getting ready to step down as the Alpha King and he had named Eric as the new Alpha King. I couldn’t be happier for Eric, since I know he is going to be the best for the job. It helps that he has a kick-ass mate, who m
Leilani-Breaking the hex on the door, I walked in and saw the other half of my soul standing next to the bed. She gave me a soft smile, which looked both sad and knowing. Before I could say anything, she began speaking.“If we do this, there is no going back. If death comes to us, it will be forever. Are you sure you want to do this?” She asked.“You know this is our only chance. Even if we redo the cycle, it still won’t be enough. Spending as much time as I did with the other versions of me, they still didn’t reach their full potential. There is no guarantee that if I come back that I will find a way to defeat her. How long must we continue in this cycle if I need to become complete to defeat her?”I don’t know why I just didn’t agree to this from the start. Was it out of fear or something else? It didn’t really matter now though. I knew now that it was our only real chance of defeating her. Even if I died, I could hopefully bring Mavis down with me.“Very well, then we will live ou
Leilani-In absolute horror, I stood there as Archer moved toward me. I could feel it through our bond that he was going to attack me. It was in that instant I realized why Mavis kept looking over at him.“You need to fight it!” I yelled at Archer, pleading with him.It was foolish of me to think I could take on Mavis with extraordinarily little time to learn centuries of magic. I had played directly into her hand. Now she had somehow managed to take control of Archer. There was no way I could fight him. The last thing I wanted to do was kill him or even hurt him. I could tell he was struggling against the hold she had on him, but I was starting to feel that he was slipping away from me.“Fight!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. He didn’t respond, which I didn’t think he could at this point. I could feel our bond, but it felt wrong, tainted. Just then I felt Eric’s arms come around me and I was lifted off the ground.“You can’t reach him anymore. We need to get out of here.” He said
Leilani-“Are you ready?” I asked Archer, who was now in his dragon form.“I will follow you anywhere.” He spoke into my mind.Knowing I couldn’t push the time anymore, I transported Archer and I through the threshold that divided the two realities. I trusted Jarod to join us when he was ready, he had left to get Delilah and any other help he could. It wasn’t that I wasn’t confident I could take Mavis on now, but we all agreed we needed as much help as possible.“Release them.” I yelled out to Mavis. For the past ten minutes, I have been watching everything play out. It had taken everything I had not to just appear sooner. Just as Eric suggested though, I used every second I could until I could no longer wait.I was on the other side of the group of pack members, opposite the packhouse. I couldn’t let Mavis know what Archer looked like in his human form just in case this went south. Where we were now, it was the only area large enough, that was close to them, that allowed Archer to be
