"Ma'am, Doña Sol is here," said nanny Rowena. I was putting away the things Maximus, and I bought the other day in my room. I hadn't had the chance to organize them because we were so tired when we arrived, and more than that, my husband wouldn't let me because he said he missed me too much and wanted to be with me.

I wondered why is the old woman was here. I nodded at Chase's nanny, dropped the clothes I was holding, and started walking out of our room.

In the living room, I saw the old woman playing with my son, Chase, who sensed my presence because he looked at me and ran toward me. "Beautiful grandma, here." I smiled at my son, nodded, and then turned to grandma Sol, who looked at me as if studying my appearance.

"Rowena, take care of my grandchild. Sarina and I have something to talk about," the old woman ordered my son's nanny, standing beside me. Rowena nodded, then took Chase from my arms before heading to the poolside on the right side of our house.

I walked toward Grandma Sol

MaximusI wanted things to be good between me and Grandma, so I went to her mansion before heading to the company. I talked to her about Sarina’s condition because I didn’t want her to add to my wife’s worries, especially since I knew she wasn't well, not because of her pregnancy but because of her mental health. I feel like she’s really traumatized by everything happening in her life, and she’s just trying to stay strong so I won’t worry and also for Chase and the baby she’s carrying.I was nervous about what Grandma might do all morning, but I didn’t get any calls from the mansion, even by lunchtime, so I was relieved. I thought that maybe she didn’t bother my wife anymore. I just wanted her to understand that I’m happy with Sarina and hope she can be happy for me, too.At 2 PM, I decided to go home to be with my wife and child. But when I arrived, I found my grandma playing with Chase and Jerome. Even though I didn’t expect it, I was happy to see that. I looked around to find my wif

My wife is now calm, and the doctor quickly lowered her fever. Thankfully, we were immediately attended to by specialists when we arrived at the emergency room because I noticed that she suddenly started shaking, and I didn't know why."Mrs. Lardizabal had a convulsion, and it's good that you brought her here right away," said Dr. Sanchez, attending to my wife. We were now in a private room, and Sarina was currently sleeping."How is she doing?""For now, she's in stable condition. She just needs complete rest. Let's also avoid stressing her out because of her situation." I looked at my wife and felt pity for her. It seemed like she was suffering so much, and I began to think that maybe her pregnancy came at a bad time. It's not that I don't want the baby—I'm excited. But if she's going to suffer like this, I wish our second baby had come after all our problems were over.Right now, my wife is the most important person in my life. Yes, we have a child, but in the end, it will just be t

Sarina"Hi, my wife. How are you feeling?" Maximus' face greeted me as soon as I opened my eyes. I felt so weak, but seeing his handsome face gave me a sudden burst of energy."I'm okay now, my husband.""You really worried me. Why didn't you call me when you weren't feeling well?""I didn't want to bother you at work. You're always absent." He laughed softly and stroked my cheek while his thumb gently rubbed my hand, which he was holding."You will never be a bother to me. You actually give me power and energy because I get stronger when I see you and hear your voice."He never makes my heart flutter; words like that make me love him even more. Even if I can't remember many of our happy moments, I can feel that what I feel for him is real. It's like my heart remembers him even if my mind can't."I've been here since yesterday. Aren't we going home yet?" I asked. Knowing that many employees depended on him, I didn't want to take up too much of his time."The doctor said you need to be

"Really?" I stared deeply into his eyes, and he looked back at me. I made sure he could see the desire that had started to spread throughout my whole body. I wanted him to touch me as I started to rub small circles on his hand, which was holding mine."Fuck, you wait here." Then, he suddenly stood up from his chair, walked to the door, and locked it. A mischievous smirk spread across his face when he turned around, sending a quick jolt through my body and making me ache for him."Just so you know, I haven't showered yet.""You should've thought about that before tempting me so much if you're worried about that." He started walking toward me, making me sit down on my hospital bed. Luckily, I had thoroughly washed before Maximus told me to rest. "You really want this, huh?""Why do you say that?" I asked, grinning."If only you could see yourself, my wife.""Do I look the same as you do right now?""Exactly." With that, he swiftly pulled me close and kissed me hard. I responded eagerly,

SarinaWhat happened between Maximus and me at the hospital felt strange. I never thought I would agree to do something like that in a place like that. Well, it wasn't dirty or anything. It's just that it didn't feel right to make love in a place where someone could possibly see or catch us, even though we were married. But I admit it feels exciting and realized that no matter what, I will always do everything as long as I'm with my husband.I'm really happy to know that my husband loves me very much. That's why I need to sort out everything I need to. I need to remember. Maybe there's more that happened to me three years ago. Maybe, besides Ralph, there are other people behind why I got separated from my husband.I have to stay strong for myself and those who love and care for me. I don't want to end up in the hospital again, as it might put my baby at risk.I often dream about that scene and don't know why it keeps returning. I want to forget it, but I can't because it keeps showing

My sessions with Dr. Miraez continued. At first, nothing happened because I was so nervous and scared that I just cried. I couldn't find the courage to go on, but I really wanted to know the truth. Thankfully, my doctor was very supportive and didn’t give up on me.We’ve already had four sessions, and I will see her again today. My husband knows what I’m doing now because Sancho couldn’t keep it a secret when he called my bodyguard the last time I had my session.Maximus wanted to come with me, but I stopped him. It’s better if he’s at work; besides, I know I'm safe since I'm with Sancho, who was very loyal to my husband, so I know he won't let anything happen to me as well.I was on my way to Dr. Miraez’s office when I ran into someone I wasn’t expecting. “Sarina, love.” I froze, unsure of what to do. I suddenly felt aloof, and there was a part of me that tells me to be wary of him. But I didn't want him to notice that, so I found myself talking to him.“Please, don’t call me that any

Sarina“Are you ready, Mrs. Lardizabal?” Dr. Miraez asked, and I nodded in response. Even though Jason scared me a bit, I couldn’t delay this any longer. I needed to remember anything about my past, like what Maximus told me.I straightened up on the couch and looked again at Dr. Miraez, signaling I was ready for our session. I wasn’t sure if it was my desperation to remember. Still, I pushed myself harder, squeezing out every hidden memory. Minutes passed, and though it was difficult, something Jason had said earlier flashed in my mind.“No, Sarina!”“You’re mine!”After that, memories started to flood back. It began with Maximus and me walking hand-in-hand to the airport restroom. The restroom was clean and nice to use. I had just finished and walked out of the stall when I noticed a utility worker cleaning the mirrors. The worker was wearing a face mask, so I didn’t think much of it—it seemed normal.I went to the sink, set my handbag down, and used my fingers to comb through my hai

I didn't realize I had closed my eyes, and when I opened them, I saw Dr. Miraez's face again. I was full of worry because I was already crying. "Are you alright?" she asked, but I kept on crying, so she gave me time to calm down.I couldn't stop thinking about who that man was talking about when he mentioned his boss and why or what I did wrong to them. And who were the people who harassed me at the hotel? What happened at the hotel that suddenly came to my mind?"I think we can stop for now and schedule another session next week." I suddenly looked at Dr. Miraez when she said that."No!" I exclaimed. "I mean, I think I was almost there. I feel like I'm about to find out something important.""But it seems like you won't be able to handle it when it happens. I think you need your husband here when it does." I couldn't say anything in response. Honestly, I was scared, but I was trying to fight it. I wanted all of this to end because I felt like I was going crazy from thinking about what

SarinaMaximus had always been incredibly supportive. There were days when he would follow me to the university, and I felt like a teenager again. I couldn’t help but smile as the woman stared at him, only to find out I was his wife. He would kiss me deeply in front of all the students before inviting me into the car.But honestly, it hasn’t been easy. Every morning, I had to wake up early just to keep up with our exercise routine. Dr. Miraez told me it would help if I lost some weight, as I had been feeling insecure. But Maximus reassured me that no matter what form, size, or shape I was in, I would always be the only woman he’d love and desire.Still, it's hard not to feel insecure as a woman, especially when your husband is still as handsome and fit as ever. Maximus is health-conscious, so his body remains well-maintained.Years passed, and my routine became second nature despite my lessons getting harder. My kids seemed to understand my situation. Lisa said they behaved so well whe

MaximusJust as Sarina wished, she pursued studying medicine. She started a bit late and had to catch up with her classmates, making her early days extremely busy. The kids were excited when we told them. Chase, who understood the most, was incredibly happy for his mother.Sarina worried about our children, but Lisa assured her they would take care of everything in her absence. As the boss of my own company, I could look after our kids whenever necessary.“Relax, my love. Everything will be fine, so just focus on your studies, okay?” She nodded and smiled at me before kissing my lips sweetly.I accompanied her to her therapy sessions with Dr. Miraez. During that time, I felt useless, as I hadn’t realized that Sarina, too, could break down like anyone else. I was a fool to think that the superwoman in my life had no weaknesses, despite knowing the horrors she had endured at the hands of those cruel people. One day, she came to my office to apologize to Lavinia. Her face flushed with emb

Sarina "Where are you taking me, Maximus?" I asked as he continued driving. It was a Saturday morning, and we were supposed to spend time with our kids at home. But out of the blue, he invited me to go out, saying he had somewhere he wanted to go—with me, of course. It had been a month since we reconciled and came to an understanding. I was enrolled in the university and trying to catch up with the lesson I missed because I started a little late. Today, I skipped my school-related tasks because it was supposed to be our family day. But now, here I was, being whisked away to some unknown destination by my husband. "You're still as impatient as ever, my wife. And why do you only call me Maximus? Are you mad?" "No, it's just that you're being so secretive. Why won't you tell me where we're going?" He took a deep breath before replying. "Just relax, my wife. I have something to show you, and I want your opinion on it." I let him be and stopped questioning him. He was driving, a

SarinaTwo days had passed, and Maximus and I still hadn't spoken, although he kept trying. I was still hurt and didn’t want to cry in front of him anymore.I felt guilty and a bit embarrassed for slapping his secretary, who turned out to be Aries' girlfriend. I wanted to speak to her and personally apologize. From Maximus' expression when he revealed who Lavinia really was, I knew nothing had happened between them. Still, it hurt that he kicked me out, giving the shallow excuse that he was just surprised or shocked. It was Saturday, so Maximus was home, but he was in his mini office talking to Aries. Earlier, they had been playing with the kids, and he excused himself to speak with his assistant for a moment.I waited for their conversation to end, watching for him to come out. "I want to tell you something," I said. He nodded quickly and moved closer to touch me, but I stepped away and walked into his office.Maximus followed me and sat down at his desk while I remained standing in f

Sarina“My wife,” Maximus said as soon as he saw me walking up the porch. He looked in a hurry, probably about to leave, so I just gave him a nod. I kept walking into the house, with him following closely behind.“Mommy!!!” Chastity screamed the moment she saw me. The other children turned around and rushed toward me while I noticed my husband watching quietly.“Did you behave while I was gone?” I asked them with a smile.“Yes!!!” they all replied in unison, and I couldn't help but shower them with kisses in delight.“Why did Daddy come home first? Nanny said you went to his office.”“Well, Mommy had somewhere else to go, so Daddy came home first. I needed to make sure you weren’t getting into any trouble.”“Behave, babies,” chimed in my seventh child, Chanton. His words were still slightly slurred, but it was understandable. I picked him up and walked toward the living room, holding Chastity’s hand, with the others trailing behind, except for the youngest, who was in Rowena’s arms, sm

SarinaI can’t believe it. He yelled at me and threw me out of his office. It hurts so much; I don’t know where to go or who to turn to. Why did this happen? Has he really changed? When did this all start, and why am I only feeling it now? I had been too busy taking care of our children to the point that I forgot about myself, and this?I couldn’t stop my tears from falling. I kept wiping my cheeks as I passed that woman in the hallway. I didn’t want to take the elevator and risk anyone seeing me like this. When I decided to visit his office, all the scenarios I imagined disappeared instantly. I thought his office could once again become our little love haven, just like it used to be. But that didn’t happen. Instead, the scene I walked into was a nightmare, and what happened after that felt like hell.I couldn’t shake the image of that woman from my mind—beautiful, sexy. And I’m sure she’s smart, too. Maximus never liked someone who couldn’t keep up with him and how he worked. He wants

  • Contract And Marriage   Chapter 104

MaximusI didn’t like what happened, and I felt upset with Sarina for what she thought. I could never cheat on her—she alone is more than enough for me. So why does she feel that way? When did she lose her trust in me? Is that why she came here without warning and didn’t bring the kids? Was it just to do what she did earlier? She always brought the kids whenever she visited me in my office. Even when it was just Chase, she hated going out alone—not out of fear, but because she didn’t want to leave our children behind.I took a deep breath and sank into my chair. I leaned back before closing my eyes. My head still throbbed from the hangover, and what just happened only made it worse.I heard the door to my office open, likely Lavinia. "Sir," she called, prompting me to open my eyes and watch her pick up the things scattered on the floor.“I’m sorry, Lavinia.”“It’s okay, Sir.” She placed the laptop on my table along with Sarina's lunchbox."It looks like Ma'am Sarina wanted to spend tim

Maximus"Aw, shit!" I groaned as I woke up, slowly blinking my eyes open. I glanced around and remembered that I wasn't at home. I looked at my wristwatch and saw that it was already half past six.I sat up and pulled the blanket off my body, only to be shocked when I realized I wasn’t wearing any clothes. My eyes darted around the room, searching for my clothes, and I noticed a rack with some neatly hung clothes on it.Nobody else was in the room, so I stood up and headed to the bathroom to shower. Judging by the room's look, I must be in a hotel. There was a bar downstairs where I had stayed last night, lost in thoughts about my wife.“Shit! Sarina!” I shouted, but I could only shake my head as I recalled what happened yesterday. I turned on the shower and began washing myself, but the thoughts of my wife wouldn’t leave my mind.I couldn’t understand her anymore. I noticed she’s always quiet, and whenever I ask her what’s wrong, she smiles and says it’s nothing. But I’m not a mind re

Sarina"Let’s talk," Maximus said firmly as I stepped out of the bathroom.“I’m not in the mood to talk,” I said before turning my back on him; he grabbed my arm, spinning me around to face him.“I want to know what’s going on, Sarina.” That’s what he called me now, Sarina. I stared at him, and he met my gaze, waiting for an answer.“Nothing is going on, Maximus.”“Then what was that downstairs? Why did you suddenly get so angry?”“Chanden chased Chansen, and he fell. What do you want me to do about it?”“Is that how you correct the kids when they make mistakes? And besides, they’re just kids. It’s normal for them to play and get hurt sometimes.”“You know what? No matter how much I try to explain, you'll never understand me.” I tried to walk away again, but he wouldn’t let me.“Talk to me, Sarina. Tell me what’s really going on. I don’t believe this is just about correcting the kids.”“I told you, nothing’s wrong!” I blurted out. Maximus stared at me intently as if trying to read my s
