Chapter 89 – Coming Home

(Aiden’s POV)

“Please, Honey, hand me my purse. I need my pain reliever for my headache,” Deborah grunted, slumping on the couch as we reached The House.

Or home, in my case.

Whether she was pretending or not, I knew that her headache had something to do with Jessamine and me. The lunch was a success. World peace and balance happened because I did my very best to keep my mouth shut, but as soon as Luke returned to the office, I could not help bringing up the ‘Cordelia’ topic.

“Why are you so interested in Cordelia?” Jessamine glowered, her nostrils flaring in anger as she stepped into the living room.

“That should be my question, Jess,” I growled, ignoring Xavier, who was raising his hand as if he was to recite in class. “What’s with Cordelia?”

She sneered, which annoyed me more, but she did not answer my question. “What’s with the new bed?” She asked instead.

I arched my head, growling and clenching my fists while cursing inwardly.
