“Son, let’s talk,” Dad said, grabbing my arm when I tried to follow Jessamine and my son.

I blinked the tears away, meeting Theodore Knight’s eyes. He lifted his brows, not uttering a word. Instead, he nudged his head, pointing at the apartment’s small living room. He released my arm, walked calmly, and sat on the single sofa.
