A loud music came from the room, mixed with the voice of cheers and laughter, it also smelled like sex and cigers. Some were watching a football match, few were gathered around a table in a hot discussion, while the rest had girls on their laps, who laughed and giggled at every word being said, funny or not.
"Terry where is the Boss?" A red haired name Drumbo said as he took a tip from whatever was contained in the red cup he held in his hands.
"I dunno." Terry shrugged as he scanned round the room, his eyes landing on a particular red haired lady who was already looking at him, she noticed this and flicked her hair, then smiled at him. He smirked as he admired her features, satisfied by what he saw.
Drumbo noticed this and laughed, shaking his head. "Trust me, you don't want to go for Alicia Terry."
"Why? You interested in her?" Terry asked, his eyes still on Alicia.
"No.
"So, what do you think? I wanted to go for the red dress, but I like black," She said looking down at the dress, she looked up at him and spinned round, twerking for hi.Alex laughed. "You look beautiful," Alex told her, watching as she twirled round in the dress, striking up different funny poses for Alex. She laughed and flicked her hair. "I know Alex, I'm an angel." She looked at herself in the mirror and gave a satisfied smile at what she saw. JoJo jumped on the bed and gave a happy whoof. "See, even JoJo agrees."Alex rolled his eyes and walked over to her. "Of course he does, you're an angel. You're also a blue eyed chipmunk." He hugged her from behind as they both looked in the mirror. Suddenly Amanda's happy face transformed to a sad one. Alex noticed this. "What's wrong? Why the sad look?"She looked at him from the mirror, then sighed, turning round to face him. "Why won't you wake up?" She asked with a sa
"Alex!" Amanda screamed placing her hands over the bloody chest as she tried to stop the bleeding. "Alex!"His eyes were heavy, his head spinning, the pain was unbearable, Amanda was crying. Why is she crying, what's going on?TWENTY MINUTES AGOThey had all scattered in different directions, Torento had ordered the shutting of the main gate and they couldn't escape, when the men had started firing bullets at them, they had no other choice but to run separate ways.Amanda found herself hiding in a room, under the bed, she can't explain how she got there, everything had just happened so fast. She had heard Torento shouting they be killed on sight. She could feel the cobwebs on her head and something smelt really bad, she tried to push her mind from whatever creature or substance could be with her under the bed and tried to focus more on escape. Her plan was to escape through the window, but when she
Amanda had her knees up to her chest, her head tucked in between as she rocked herself on the chair, Rebecca and Elena were beside her. While Alex was still unconscious, the guys had sustained minor injuries during the fight and Jerry had gotten shot in his right leg."Are you ok?" Elena asked concerned. Amanda hasn't said a word since the nurses has shut the door before her."Mmmmh," she replied not looking up. Elena looked at Rebecca who was also watching her."What should I do?" Elena mouthed to her. Rebecca looked confused too, then moved closer to Amanda and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder."Alex will be fine," she said. The three sat there quietly, waiting.Elena was just about to nod off when Amanda suddenly sat up and since she was resting on Amanda's back, she has no other choice but to sit up straight, she rubbed her eyes sleepily. "Is the doctor here?" She ask
"You can go see him now, he's sleeping," The doctor said. "But he will..."Amanda didn't wait for the doctor to finish, she ran out of the office, running upstairs to the room she knew Alex was in. She stopped before the door breathing heavily, trying to calm herself down, she rubbed her palms behind her jeans."Ok," she said to herself moving forward to open the door. Alex was sleeping like the doctor had said, he had a bandage round his forehead and few bruises over his face, which had now been plastered. She walked over standing before him, then sat down in the armchair beside the bed. "He's sleeping, I will wait."*****Alex slammed the cup on the desk and turned to Martin. "Martins, have you ever heard of the Fundamental promotion rights?""Fundamental promotion rights?" Martins repeated the question, an eyebrow raised."I'm about to do something crazy,"
"Oh, it feels good to be back home," Alex said as they climbed up the stairs leading to his front porch.Amanda smiled rolling her eyes. "You are only saying that because you-""Alex!" They heard a voice shouting, they both turned round to see the one and only Karen walking towards them in anger.Alex sighed. "Oh no, this is definitely not what I need at the moment." He muttered.Amanda looked confused. "Who's that?" She asked."Karen," he said simply and gave a slight shudder. She crossed the street, her palms in a tight fist, a frown on her face, her white hair was packed in a tight bun. Though the look on her face reminded Alex of his worst nightmare but still, Alex couldn't help the laughter that bubbled in his throat. 'Karen' was a short woman, she reminded him of a funny meme he had seen last week, which had compared short people to soldier ant."What do
"So, my mum wants to meet you," Alex said quickly walking out of the kitchen.Amanda eyes widened then she spit out the water she was just about to swallow. "What?" She asked running out of the kitchen."Bleh." Alex shrugged."This isn't a 'Bleh' moment Alex," she walked over to him, stopping him before he could run of the house. "I thought your mum was in Canada.""Yeah...""And?""Well, she found out I had a girlfriend and wanted us to come visit-""Uh, she wants us to...""Yeah, but I told her we couldn't because of my work, and she said fine."Amanda sighed in relief. "Ok good, that's good news.""She said fine, she will come over," he finished."Are you messing with me?" Amanda asked, Alex shook his head. "Why are you just telling me this Alex? When is she coming over?"Alex ga
"What do you mean your mother isn't visiting again?" Amanda shouted sitting up. She had been laying on his chest playing with the small chest hair when he had just told her the news.Alex sat up confused. "Why do you sound so surprised? I told you this yesterday.""No Alex you didn't," she said getting out of the bed, only dressed in her underwear. "I would remember if you did Alex, why didn't you tell me this before... Shit!""Before what?" Alex asked confused. He was confused because Amanda had been the one who seemed really nervous on his mother's visit and now she seemed upset by the news, he had been expecting her to rejoice.Amanda sighed turning to face him. "I bought a dress Alex.""You bought a dress? Uh... Good for you?" He said unsure. She palmed her head and sighed. "No Alex, I bought a freaking expensive dress to please your mother and now she isn't even going to show h
"I have nothing to say to them Eric," Amanda said as she watched the dishes. "How did they find you by the way?" She asked. Eric said he hadn't been heard anything about the Vegas, her mother's family, after they kicked her out."I still don't know," Eric's voice spoke from the speaker. "But they appeared here yesterday, surprising me myself, demanding they see their grandchildren," he said."Demanding?" Amanda scoffed. "Have they gone cuckoo? What gives them the right to demand? As long as I'm concerned I have no grandparents. Have you spoken to the girls about it?" She asked."I have told Amanda, she refused to see them, I'm yet to tell Elena," He said, referring to Rebecca as Amanda."Well, what did they expect? That they would just show up demanding for us and we'll gladly welcome them with open arms?" she gave a short laugh in disbelief. "The next time they show their face tell them they should go suck on a dic
"A rabbit!""An ice-cream!""A rabbit licking an ice-cream!" Amanda shouted.Alex dropped his arms in resignation. "Seriously? Is that what it looks like to you?" He said looking over to Martins for help, who was already laughing quietly.Amanda shrugged. "Nope, I just really really wanted some ice-cream...but seriously I thought that was a rabbit." He shook his head and walked over, plopping down beside her."Fine your turn," he said."Finally," she said getting up and walking before them. With a smile, she stretched her arm out like to prance on something, her mouth opened like it was ready to bite."Uh..." Alex was lost as both he and Martins shared a look."A tiger," Martins said. Amanda shook her head and wiggled her butt, she frowned, looking angry."Alex the dancing Lion?" Alex said, his voice unsure. She sig
The adorable little dog, the Yorkshire Terrier, Jojo might not have been human, but he was a big my character and I can't forget him in this.Jojo was Alex's best friend and companion, he loves Alex and he loves food, we can never tell which he loves the more. Although he doesn't show Alex how much he cares whenever his around, but even Amanda can't help but call them cute whenever Alex returns from work and Jojo is all around him.Jojo is also a very good advisor, if he was human, he would make a good counselor and he also gives an amazing listening ear. For the whole three years Alex had been single, whining and complaining, Jojo listened, he didn't understand, but he listened, any other sane person would have abandoned him long ago.Jojo was inspired by a friend of mine, I call him Demon, he is troublesome and can be good when he wants to, he claims he doesn't eats as much as JoJo, but I know he is lying.
Ross Dunn was brought to the book to frustrate Alex's life, no matter how annoying he may be, I really liked Ross.Ross had a really demanding father—who I never talked about—who pushed him into the business Ross found himself today. Making it at a really young age didn't come off as easy as Ross made it seem. He didn't have time for friends or relationships because he was always working to be at the top. When Ross finally got to the top, we can see how grumpy he was, that was due to loneliness, he had it all and discovered that want he truly wanted—happiness, couldn't be bought with money.Ross could be very strict and yet caring at the same time, although being in a relationship is still new to him, he shows he will do anything to hold it by loving his partner, we see this by the gift he buys for her and letting Alex out of the 'commentary section' just to go on a date with her.Ross loves his employe
My plan for Alex Oliver was to make him as simple as the next man beside us. Alex wasn't hot—he was cute. Alex didn't have any flashy cars—he had a bicycle. He wasn't the CEO of any billionaire company, just a normal twenty seven year old doing his normal stuff. While I didn't really dive much into his past, or the ex girlfriend—who, was actually supposed to show up at some point in the book, but then, I brought out Raphael—but we can all tell Alex Oliver is a momma boy, being so close to his mother made him so thoughtful and respectful towards women, which was why he never told Karen. "Fuck off!"While Amanda is on the Libra side, Alex is a Cancer ♋. He is quite emotional and always looking for true love, Alex is very caring and can also be quiet naive. He loves cuddles, but also love his own personal space, though Alex lacked a little bit of confidence, this was why it took him years to get close to Martins and Stac
We first got a look at Amanda Walters during the event where she 'accidentally' ran into Alex. Our first thought on Amanda was mischievous, cunny, sharp-mouthed, and beautiful, but we sure as hell didn't expect her to steal Alex's bicycle and grandma's necklace, which she held on to for a really long time. One thing we should all know about Amanda is that she cherish friends and families more than anything else—though she doesn't have much or any friends, the book didn't really show that side—Amanda was willing to go back for Alex, when she heard he was first willing to help her when Torento had her.Amanda had a really rough childhood, we didn't see much concerning her stay in her foster parents house, but judging by the rags Jason found her putting on and the fact that she did run away, shows that she wasn't receiving the best treatment. We also admire Amanda's quick thinking, the whole escape when Terry ca
"How do you see us in the future Alex?" Amanda asked as she laid on the bed, using her elbows as support, looking at Alex, who was laying on his back staring up at the ceiling."How I see us in the future?" Alex said. She nodded her head. "Before I met you, I had another image set up for my future, kinda darker. But with you here, it has gotten a lot better."Alex smiled. "What 'image' did you have before you met me?"She raised an eyebrow giving him a side smile. "You really wanna know?"He laughed. "Yeah, come on tell me, it can't be that bad.""Ok, well, I see myself in..."*****PRISONThe women sat in the cafeteria, some banging their fist on the table every once in a while trying to get attention, some busy doing sexual acts with their partner under the food stained tables, others were sitting by themselves timidly, some looki
"Hey mum," Alex greeted, his feet up at his desk as he enjoyed the pleasure of having his own office. Now he had his own personal parking spot, a secretary, and most of all privacy. Now he and Martins could talk for hours without Ross interrupting, though Alex was happy, he really missed staying close to Martins, the two had become really good friends overtime."Hey darling, how is the new office?" She asked. Alex could hear the honking of horns in the background and guessed she probably might be on the road.Alex sighed in joy. "It's really great," he said. "You know...in my own space doing my own thing," he said in a fake British accent."Your own thing? Since when did you have a 'thing'. Also why the funny accent?"He scratched the back of his neck. "No reason, it's just something Amanda does when we... Uh, when we...""Yeah Alex I get what you mean, but just leave the accent to Amand
Alex walked towards the door to answer it, someone had been pressing the doorbell, he had been ignoring it, hoping the person would leave, but no, some people were just too stubborn.Alex opened the door without asking for who it was, he was met with a dark haired man, he had many tattoo drawing on his arms, an overgrown beard and when he opened his mouth to speak, the scent of alcohol mixed with what Alex suspect was probably illegal hit his nose. He was not bad looking, actually he was very good looking and if he tried, his appearance wouldn't stop people from approaching him."I'm looking for Amanda?" He said. Alex's wondered what business he had with Amanda, he knew all of Amanda's friends, which were very few actually and he had never met him."Who's looking for me?" Amanda had just been passing by when she had heard the voice ask for her."Uh..." Alex didn't know his name."Raphael," the man s
