Cassandra's Pov

I checked on the twins and noticed that they were still asleep. I adored them so much but then again I was considering the fact that I might not have much time to spend them. Perhaps I should hire a nanny for them or something. But would Alder accept that?

The thought of anyone coming anywhere near his children always made him over possessive about them. But if I really wanted to face my duties I had to hire a nanny for the kids. Their grandparents decided to come visit today though and it relieved me of some of the motherly duties.

I had to rule my pack alongside my husband no matter what. Katherine especially, my mind kept going to how she was probably fairing at the moment. I walked down to the torture room to look at her. Her blood had dried up, but she still was alive , and that was what I wanted, for her to be alive. She stared upwards at me with weak eyes, like she was about to pass out and I just grinned.

"Not so nice to have a taste of your own medicine huh?"
