Chapter 150

Peron's POV

As I slowly opened my eyes, the harsh fluorescent lights of the hospital room pierced through my vision, intensifying the throbbing pain in my head. A dull ache spread like wildfire, and I winced at the unwelcome sensation. Confusion engulfed me as I tried to recall the events leading to my current state.

The last thing I remembered was the screeching tires, the blinding headlights, and the sickening crunch of metal, then the notification on my phone and Elizabeth. What roller coaster events!

I tried to move to find Bella and Cayden but my body felt heavy and unresponsive. Just then, a kind-faced woman, most likely a nurse, with a gentle smile noticed my awakening and came in.

"Mr. Peron, you're awake. How are you feeling?" she asked.

"My head is pounding," I mumbled, struggling to sit up. The nurse gently pressed me back onto the bed.

"You've been in a coma. You need to take it easy. Your body needs time to adjust," she insisted.
