✑ Capítulo 4

FAUZIA was tired when she headed back home. She does not know why but school makes her tired all the time. Maybe because she doesn’t have a companion, though she doesn’t want one.

Having a friend can tire her too.

When she slid the door open her eyes widened at the sight she’s seeing. Her father was grabbing her mother’s hair, he slapped her.

She ran hastily to at least protect her mother. “Stop!” Fauzia used herself so her mother won't get hurt from her father.

“Stay away from this, Niryana! Go to your room,” Her father pushed her away with his one hand, because of the strong force she fell flat on her stomach on the floor hard. 

“Who the fuck are you to do this to me, huh?!” Her father's question was filled with anger and hardened his grasped on her mother's hair.

"No... I can't you know I can't do that, Leander. How could you say that... I didn't lie to you." Her mother couldn't barely say it clearly because of her wail. 

"Then how would you explain this?! Huh? Is this the 'didn't lie' that you're saying?!" Her father showed a video where her mother was seen with her father's friend named Zedrick. 

Fauzia covered her mouth with eyes bugged out. She can see the obscenity of her mother and her uncle Zedrick. 

She shook her head in disbelief, it could not be. How can this happen? Fauzia couldn't believe what she was seeing. 

"H-How---it isn't true! It is not true, I've never met Zedrick, Leander. No, I've never met him." Her mother continued to shook her head. 

Tears streamed down her cheeks which she didn't notice while she heard and saw their situation. Fauzia was still lying on the floor, couldn't make any small movements. 

"I didn't marry you to just cheat on me, Hera!" Her father held her chin then shook her shoulder as if he was trying to wake her mother.  “I want you out of our life! Please don’t show your face to us ever again. Out of my sight! Now!” They shut their eyes close to her father's rumbling tone, his face was boiling red because of anger. 

“You can’t do that, father! It was just one mistake! I bet my mother didn’t mean it!” She turned her look to her mother. “This is not true right, mother? Father is just lying to us, right?” she asked still tears streaming on her cheeks.

“Can you hear yourself, Niryana?” her father scoffed, “You think I’m lying?” Her father’s gaze turned to her.

“What if your friend planned this?” That made her father stunned. “Mom and I are always together, you’re always away. You've never show up every week and yet you're here just to accuse my mother that? Are you okay?” Fauzia sarcastically said between her tears.

“What do you expect huh?” he looked down on her mother. “I have a company to take care of then someone just showed up just to send this to me while I work to death! Do you even think how hard to be away from you? And this is what you'll do to me?! Tapos ito lang ang gagawin mo saakin?! At sa kaibigan ko pa?! And why is it have to be my friend?!” Her mother can't help but close her eyes at the strength of her father's voice.

Fauzia’s teeth gritted. “That could be the reason why she cheated on you if she's really cheating on you---” her father didn’t let her finished.

“Shut your mouth, Niryana, you don’t know anything! Don't act like you know anything! Guard! Throw this woman away, I don't need her here anymore.” He called their guards that eventually obeyed his order. 

Her lips parted at the scene she's seeing, how can her father dropped a decision quickly? 

"No! You can't do that!" She tried to stop them from dragging her mother out. 

She couldn't believe that her father can do that to them, back when she was young her family never had a huge fight. It started when she began her high-school. 

She started giving them her fist but that didn't stop them. “Father! Make them stop! At least hear my mother’s reason first!”

Her father remained deaf to her and instead of listening, he ordered them. “Guard, lock my daughter in her room.”

Her father looked at their maids that have been silently watching them. “Don’t give her anything, she needs to know the taste of her wrongdoings.” Then turned his back on them. 

“Get off me! Mom! Mom!” She struggled to get away from the guards, she reached out for her mother. 

“Mom…” Her face softened when she saw her mother smiling at her.

There was something in her smile, she’s telling something that she can’t pinpoint.

“Don’t worry, baby, I’ll get you after this. I'll come back for you, I'll come back. I'll get you soon, I love you so much, Niryana.”

Until she vanished from Fauzia's sight as she was taken upstairs in her room.

When they placed her she immediately stand so she won't be locked inside, but she was late and didn't even get the chance to get out. 

She washed her face using her palm, Fauzia was ranging inside at what her father did. 

FAUZIA get up fast, her eyes wandered to where she was. Fear consumed her as she remembered what had happened.

Whatever her eyes landed there are unknown people surrounding her, she could not think clearly and her breathing was uneven and it was suffocating her. 

Her eyes led to the guy that was about to go near her, he was ready to speak to her but another guy stopped him for doing so. 

“Aust. Don’t, she might snap, her mental health is fragile.”

Fauzia was shaking, shaking in fear when thoughts flashed in her mind. She kept on shaking her head and covered her face.

No, she doesn’t want to feel it again. 

“P-Please, ju---just kill m-me already. Just end my s-sufferings,” she pleads, still shaking in fear. She doesn’t even know if they heard her cracked voice.

“No, we’re here to save you. Fauzia---” She tried to get away from his touch. Her gaze blurred, another group of tears flowed on her face. 

Various image was playing in her head that she's wishing to just stop even if that image was already part of her life she has. It never stopped, her torment continued to flow. 

Fauzia tried to get away from the man that kept on insisting to go near her. She didn't listen to what he was saying. 

“S-Stop, I’m not an animal for you to play. Just s-stop. Stop, s-stop.” She chanted as she cried loudly even more.

Divine restricted Austin for reaching for Fauzia. “Stop, you’re making it even worse. Let me take care of her so that we could point out how we can help her.”

Divine faced Fauzia to calm her down. 

Austin's shoulder fell as he and Helios get out of the room and joined Efron and their other friends outside, the door of Fauzia's room wasn't fully closed. They can still see what was going on inside. 

Mavis joined Divine, she’s caressing Fauzia’s hair and hugging her while whispering, “No one’s going to hurt you.” Fauzia somehow calmed down but she’s still sobbing lightly and her eyes are widely closed.

After a couple of minutes, Mavis can feel her weight. She has now fallen asleep, she gently laid her down on the bed before facing the guys who are silently watching them.

“Fauzia has so many dislocated bones in her body, it took so long before it healed. This is so traumatic.” Helios showed Fauzia's x-ray to them. 

They were shocked at what they were seeing, Helios walked towards Fauzia's bed to slightly raised her clothes. They stilled when they saw some of her body. 

"These are..." Austin trailed off, he moved beside her to mildly traced the skin of the woman. "...whipped, they lashed her," he said under his breath.
