I didn’t see Damon after our encounter in his office, where he had told me to wait for four years for him. I knew it was going to be extremely hard and I didn’t know what I would do if he found someone else along the line but I was going to give it a shot. It was my fault for falling for a man ten years older than me, who happened to be my professor.

However, not seeing him wasn’t part of the plan. On the day of his exam, he didn’t even come to supervise it nor was he in his office when I went to check. The office had been empty when I went to check, as though no one occupied it anymore.

It worried me and I was tempted to go to his place and look for him, but I decided not to. I had promised him I would wait for him. Going to his home would only ruin that.
