“You’re a hard girl to see these days,” Clementine said as I walked past her into my room. She followed me in. “And you aren’t even going to tell us who you’re seeing? What if he sells you off or something?”

I laughed as I packed up my books from the desk; the ones I’d use from now till Thursday. “Don’t worry, he’s a good man and quite easy to find.”

“And I have never seen his face. He never comes down from his black tinted car so I have no idea what he looks like.”

It was my idea for Damon to not leave his car for whatever reason. We had to be as careful as possible and his randomly picking me up would be suspicious to everyone who knew we were student and lecturer.

“You’ll see him someday.”

“Is he deliberately keeping your relationship a secret? Are you dating a married man?”

Dating a married man would be much easier. At least I would be able to lie and say I didn’t know he was married, but there was no way I could be oblivious to Damon being my professor.
