Chapter 44 - Where's Honey?

I rushed out of the room and down the hall. I didn't even know where I was going, but I couldn't stay there. Honey was missing. Again. Dammit, I had to find Honey. I can't believe this was happening again. And because of me. I knew finding her wouldn't be as easy as waiting at her house this time. I listened as Roberta told me she was heading home from work early. I told her I would meet her there and pushed open the front door of the club, heading out front to where I parked my car. I sometimes parked here because it was closer to my office than the back lot. The parking lot was practically empty on an off day.

"Brandt!" I heard a voice call from behind me. I turned to see Marion rushing out of the club, chasing after me, but I didn't stop. What did she want? I didn't have time for this nonsense. Horrible scenarios about what could have happened rushed through my mind.
