2024-10-29 19:42:56Ava received a text from Gale about ten minutes ago, informing her that he will set his phone on airplane mode. She was now playing with Alex in her room when she heard a loud thud of something falling. She ran outside her room and went straight towards the staircase from which the sound came. She felt her heart stop when she saw her dad laying in the middle of the stair unmoving. She regained her composure so fast and immediately descended the stairs to check on her dad.
Tears brimming in her eyes, threatening to fall, but she kept herself together. She put her ear on his chest, and his heartbeat was so weak.

She leapt to the stair below her dad's body and ran straight outside to find help. Luckily she found her neighbours outside on the side of the street were chatting idly. She immediately pulled them towards her house whilst trying to tell them what happened in between her sobs.
