Ginny narrowed her eyes and observed Joan’s reaction. Her lips curled into a wicked grin.

Joan’s eyes were flickering and she only calmed down when she looked at Mona. “The child that she mentioned…it might be my child.”

Mona was shocked. “Your child?”

Joan pleaded, “Mona, can you ask Sebastian to get the key to that building? Come with me. I want to go have a look.”

Mona nodded. “Okay. I’ll go ask for the key.”

She knew about the building in the backyard, but it was closed most of the time and the servants did not need to clean up the place.
