Chapter 596

The man walked to the driver’s seat and got his cell phone out through the window. Mona’s name flashed on the screen.

He answered the call. “What?”

The man’s tone was arrogant, thinking Mona had called to ask him to come home.

However, Mona’s voice on the other end of the phone was sensible and calm. “I’m with the traffic police now, paying your fine.”

The man frowned. “It’s late. What are you doing outside?”

“You were speeding.”

The man sighed. “I’ll go over to you now.”

Thaddeus drove to the traffic police station. Mona lay on the bench in the hall, so tired that she fell asleep.

The man walked over and squatted down, intending to wake her. However, he could not bear to disturb her. He took off his jacket and covered her body.

He originally wanted to carry her home, but Mona slept lightly and jolted awake at his touch.

She rubbed her drowsy eyes and saw the man she was unlucky enough to have as her husband.

“If you’re awake, then walk by yourself. Go home.” Thaddeus lifted
