Victor took the beating from Master Fontaine without protest. Master Fontaine was poor in health, and it would fall on Victor’s shoulders if anything were to happen to the old man due to Victor’s choice of words.

Standing in the middle of the meeting room, Thaddeus narrowed his dashing eyes at the nosy old folks.
