Chapter 67 A Funeral, and sacred cremation

Third Person's POV

Waking up with both of his mates draped across the Alpha's body, helped a little to ease the painful ache that laid ahead of him for the day.

His chest felt tight and ached as he walked through the large field of sacred funeral pyres.

With most packs, only the Alpha's family is buried. Everyone else is laid upon the sacred pyres, and their bodies are burned as they say the sacred prayer to the moon goddess, sending their loved ones home.

Hughes's chest tightens even more as he enters his family's graveyard.

His eyes roam over the many headstones, knowing his father is about to be laid to rest, with the rest of his deceased family.

Hughes looks down to his left and sees Jeremy with the same expression that he's had since yesterday. He looks pale, and as if his mind isn't there. As if he's an empty shell, going through the motions. The only sign that he's there, is the unshed tears in his eyes.

I agree, But I think Ethan will want to wait until after so that Hughes has time to heal, I think Claudius will agree with Ethan, I also think that even though they love Hughes they want him to be able to be happy and not the front he is putting on for his mates or his pack,

Definitely gotta take care of Sam and Natalie but I also know that full moon is close because they originally planned to do the war after the heat so I know that’s soon very soon and hopefully Ethan’s transition too! We got the healing now let’s get some heat before the merge! Love this series!
