CHAPTER FIVE

Henry had seen all that had transpired between Fred and Maria. So it was Fred she was getting married to? The son of the millionaire? The popular business tycoon? No wonder she was now rich and was pretending not to know him. No wonder she didn't want to come home.

So she enjoyed being maltreated by this arrogant fool, than coming back to her family who loved and cherished her so much.

He walked up to Maria and helped her up.

"Thank you", she muttered.

She lowered her face to the ground, and refused to look up.

"Let's go", Henry saidnpulling her gently outside the mall.

"Where to?" She asked in a very low tone, her voice almost didn't come out and her face was still buried on the floor.

"Take a break away from all of these", he replied.

The both of them walked out of the mall together, he held her hands tightly in his as they walked out. He made her sit in his car and drove her to his house.

She was hesitant at first to go in, but when he insisted she decided to do so.
