Chapter 2 - The missing fiancee

“Who will marry who?” they all asked in chorus. The mixed emotions can be seen on their faces, their mom laughs at their reaction.

“I will tell you later who will marry who,” she mimics the three.

Mrs. Wright watches her sons quietly while their eyes are looking at one another as if they are passing a message, but Zachary broke the silence and interrogates his mom.

“Mom, don’t tell me you have another son other than us?” Zachary tease, the three of them have waited for Mrs. Wright’s reaction. Matthew taps his little brother's shoulder to stop his malicious thought about their mom.

Ezekiel notices her mom’s face turns to disappointment, “Zach, that’s not funny,” he spoke, “watch your behavior,” Matthew added, Zachary apologizes to her mom and sat on his chair.

Mrs. Wright smiles secretly hearing Ezekiel protects her from his playful son, she was relieved to know how Kiel’s emotion is progressing. Since childhood, Ezekiel seems to be distant and cold; She never saw him smile after that happened...

Among her sons, she’s worrying the most about Kiel because he can’t express himself to anyone which leads to misunderstanding.

After a long drive, Luke stops the car at the restaurant. Mrs. Wright went out of the car, she was about to come in when she realized that the boys didn’t follow her. She turns to them and invites them, “let’s go.”

They step out of the car and sluggishly tails their mom into the restaurant, Mrs. Wright hurriedly walks and runs to the comfort room without realizing that her son didn't follow inside the restaurant, the three were left at the entrance; a lady comes closer to Ezekiel. “Sir, do you have any reservation?” he heard her velvet voice.

“I don’t have,” he replied without looking at her, he passed the question to his brother, “do you have?” Zachary flips his head while amusingly looking at the lady.

The lady enjoys looking at these handsome men but the one she likes among the three is Ezekiel, she secretly unbuttoned the two-button of her clothes and show off her boobs to catch his attention.

“Sir,” she seductively said, Ezekiel travels his eyes around the place while Zachary is in awe enjoying the scene, Matthew cover the eyes of his younger brother.

The lady tries to touch Ezekiel’s hand but he sways his hand to not let her touch him.

“What kind of restaurant is this?” Ezekiel fumed.

“Why, sir?” the lady asked.

“Is it some kind of pub? If yes, I would love to table you because I can tell that my older brother doesn’t like you,” Zachary frankly stated, he pulled Matthew’s hand out of his eyes.

“I can be his replacement,” he whispered and wink at her.

“Zach,” Matthew stops his brother.

“Miss, will you please go back to the counter and fix your clothes,” Matthew is warm among the three.

The lady angrily went back to the counter and fixes the button of her clothes after being rejected.

Mrs. Wright finally came out of the ladies room and found out that her son is not inside, she came back to the entrance and saw them waiting there, “what are you waiting for there, boys?” she asked, she was staring at their reaction. One is calm, the other seems to enjoy while Kiel looks like mourning.

“Ma’am, did they come with you? If no, I believe that they can’t come in unless they have a reservation but as I can see they can’t come in. You guys can choose to leave or the guards will drag you out,” the lady challenged them, she smiles flirty and winks at Ezekiel as if she’s the only pass to the restaurant.

They got angry at her rude personality, “Miss, what do you mean? I’ve got a reservation here under my name, Mrs. Anastasia Wright and they are my sons,” she said in an authoritative voice.

The lady is embarrassed by the explanation of Mrs. Wright and apologizes to them.

“Save your breath, you might get shocked by the message you will receive within a second,” Ezekiel counted in his mind and he was right, the lady received a message from the owner dismissing her from the position.

The lady looks pitifully and looks at them, “I’m sorry sir…,” and the lady was escorted out of the restaurant.

They were sitting and looking at each other quietly while waiting for the food that their mom ordered. Mrs. Wright keeps on checking on her wristwatch as if she's waiting for someone to come.

“Could you tell us now about the marriage you announced in the car?” Ezekiel impatiently asked..

“Mom, please tell us that you are joking.” Zachary frustratingly begs, their mom laughs and replied seriously, “I’m not kidding.”

“But who will marry who?” they impatiently asked.

“Alright. My friend’s daughter will marry…” she travels her eyes back to forth at her three sons. Each of them is praying to not hear their names from their mom’s mouth.

Kriiiiiing. Kriiiiing. Kriiing. Mrs. Wright’s phone rings, she quickly answers her phone then she hangs it up disappointedly upon answering the call.

She canceled her order and just pay for the cost, “we need to leave now,” she stated, they got confused about their mom’s action.

“Mom, what’s wrong?” Matthew is curious.

“You haven’t told us yet who did you arrange for marriage to your friend’s daughter,” Zachary was disappointed.

She stood up firmly and held her bag, “Ezekiel… will marry Emily’s daughter.” She announced, he drops his jaw hearing the truth from his mom and turns his head to his older brother's expression.

Matthew and Zachary breathe calmly after knowing that they still have their own freedom, Zachary stood up and walks beside his older brother, he taps his shoulder and whispers, “Congratulations.”

“I will not marry her,” he said and leave before them, they follow him, “Kiel,” his mom called him out but he didn’t stop.

His mother shouted, “Kiel, your fiancée is missing.” Those words make him stop walking, he feels annoyed after knowing that she is the first woman to do that to him. She's the only one that has the courage to run away from him.

“So what?” he didn’t turn his head at his mother but he is annoyed and quite interested to meet her even he despised getting married to her.

“Bella is not familiar in New York, she lived outside the country for long years,” her mother explains but his son didn’t say anything. “Son, we need to hurry and look for her. She might be crying and hiding if ever she encounters bad guys. You don’t know that Bella is a weak girl, she needs protection from a strong man,” she added and pretended in wiping her tears.

“Kiel, we will help you to search for her. She really needs you and after all, she’s your fiancée,” Matthew reminds him.

“No need, send me her information. I will bring her personally to you once I found her mom. Matt and Zach send our mom to the hotel.” He said and left, his mom did not protest and let her son look for his fiancée.

Luke starts the engine and drives the car along the highways while Ezekiel watches the road they pass by, hoping to see the woman he’s arranged even he doesn’t have an idea what she looks like. A car suddenly bumps into the back of the car where he is riding, Luke pulls over the car and glances at his boss, and asked, “Sir, are you alright?” Ezekiel nod at his assistant.

Luke hurriedly went out of the car and talk to the driver about the compensation while Ezekiel was sitting and waiting for Luke to finish his conversation with the driver when he received a message from his mom about the information and pictures of his fiancée.

He checked his phone and look at the picture of Emily’s daughter, “Bella,” he coldly whispered.

Kiel looks from the window of the car to see what makes his assistant took so long but a familiar face caught his attention.

“Bella,” was the only words that came out of his mouth.
