“Stop flirting this early, Vishnu. You’re making me puke with your cheesy lines,” Noah grumbled.
Vishnu glared at his brother. “That is none of your business, Noah. You look like total shit, by the way,” he commented.Van and Jerson stayed silent, waiting for the two siblings to argue, and fight but it didn’t come. Van sighed in disappointment. “Brianna reported that the General would most probably come again at the Academy. She said that the school will administer an assembly meeting and the Academy needed the General there.”Jerson looked at Van and stared at his plate after. There’s no doubt that General Kio knew something about his parents. If one of his underlings knew his father, then there's no doubt that the General and his father had once crossed paths. The probability of them being enemies was larger than the possibility of them being colleagues.Noah drank water and looked at Van. “Any important figures reported to the list of guestsThe agenda was to substantiate that General Kio, the corrupted politician who's part of the Senate, was the suspect for the pandering inside the academy, and to present evidence to validate the claim. Noah had long ago contacted Joren Nile to work with them. Coincidentally and for an unknown reason, Joren Nile was targeting General Kio and Noah being Noah, didn't ask for any more reasons and information about what General Kio did him wrong or what was the reason behind his contempt. As long as it will benefit them both, Noah could bargain with the consequences. In the end, they had come up with an agreement. Noah examined the blueprint of the Academy and saw that a lot of dormitory rooms weren't occupied as it was also included on the report that the young Nile gave him. Joren also helped him acquire some documents inside the General's office. Those documents were the real deal about the smuggled goods. However, Noah doubted Joren even more. How could he do it without bein
“The hunt?” Jerson asked as he put down all the documents on the table. Noah nodded. He examined the whole room before he turned his laptop on. “Now is the time to reveal the General’s incompetence,” he declared. “Another senate who thirst for power would take him down to gain leverage for his piety. Isn't it fun to watch how your once promised colleagues turned their back on you to gain what they wanted from the start?” he asked. Noah looked at Jerson seriously. “Betrayal is an impending choice and being betrayed is an inevitable fate if, from the very start, the covenant is deficient.”Jerson stood up and walked nearer the window. He swayed the gray curtains sideways and looked down at the crowded people near the stage. The students were lined up in a straight line while giving the General and the guests a prideful salute. The guests were nodding in satisfaction and their eyes were gleaming with admiration — recognizing the system that helped the General to discipli
Jerson remained silent. He couldn’t utter any more words. It was his grandfather who asked him for his name. If he utters another word, his grandfather might catch up with what was happening and he might get caught red-handed. If he mumbles one more word, it will be risky. Jerson’s silence made the General smirk. “Now… now. What made you shut up? Does the cat get your tongue?” The General started to laugh with travesty. “Are you scared? Are you gonna piss on your pants?” the General asked with his tone filled with scorn. Behind those mockeries, still, Jerson remained silent. He could tolerate the ridiculous stunt of the General to conceal his identity. He could at least bear this much. Ideally, Jerson would be overjoyed if he became the General's karma. Jerson could tolerate it at this moment but that does not mean that he won’t plead for payback. Now that this happened, he realized that it is indeed a good choice that he wore light make-up, and that his features
“I’m sure you have already heard about the competition that will be held during the assembly meeting,” Jerson said. He was typing codes to infringe the General’s computer firewall. Much to his surprise, there’s so much security installed in the General's computer system. Kedric nodded. “I've heard it from mom,” he answered. “But our section was forbidden to join,” he added.Jerson nodded. “That’s right. That is why we’ll play a game,” Jerson said as he bounced his leg up and down. “We’ll use a honey trap and a reverse honey trap to lure our target.”The six students look at each other. “I thought you were going to help us?” Jireh asked and looked at him in confusion. Jerson sighed and opened the window and played a video where the General was harassing a student. He then smirked, “I’m helping you out, dumb shit. Luring the victim was one of the General’s schemes. In essence, the General would simply offer them a free private lesson. The victim would be
“What are these kids doing here?” Noah asked with his brows creased.Jerson looked at the students who were considered as rogues and the kids that Noah was talking about. Jerson sighed and said, “We’re at the same age. Do I look like a kid to you, Noah?” Shocked, Noah waved his hand in the air while shaking his head. “You are different from them, Jerson. Now, please understand my concern and answer my question properly,” Noah urged. Jerson rolled his eyes and gave Noah his phone. The screen showed the master list of the existing competition candidates. “I entered their names," Jerson said casually like he did not do something illegal. Noah pinched the bridge of his nose out of frustration. For the fifth time again this year, Jerson schemed something and carried it out without consulting him. Although it does not really affect their previous plans, he is still Jerson’s superior and every plan needs his approval for precautionary measures. “That is not w
Vishnu was frowning the whole time right after they entered the conference room. He couldn't find anyone or anything exquisite inside the hall or if he did find one, it wasn’t as engaging as his Cara. For him, nobody could ever be compared to Jerson. He could not understand anything about their meeting’s agenda and what their objective was all about as his mind flew to where Jerson was, and how Jerson was doing. He wished that the meeting would just end for good so he could be with his Cara. Life without his Cara is lifeless.Once again, Vishnu looked up and was in a daze.“Vishnu, are you listening?” Leon started communicating using the earpiece that Vishnu was wearing on his ear. The earpiece was connected to all the members of his team. He and his team were currently invading the Academy as planned and they planned to steal the ledger of the smuggled goods for them to have their leads on who they will indict next. Vishnu remained silent as hi
“Are you looking for this?”Van looked in the direction where the familiar voice came from. There, he saw Leon dragging a man. As Van stared at the unconscious man, he realized that it was the General’s secretary. The General's secretary’s upper body was almost naked. If the man wasn’t wearing an undershirt, he would really suffer from hypothermia as the temperature was very cold.Van's brows furrowed. “What did you do, Young Master?”Leon laughed sarcastically as he kicked the man to push him to get inside the office using his right foot. He then entered the room and extended his hand to Van. “Won’t you kiss the back of my hand like you used to do back then, Van?” he asked. With knitted brows, Van looked at Leon’s hand and saw some small white particles. He could tell that it was a melatonin powder just by the powder type and its color. He knows that melatonin has diverse traits from the other powd
Van left the hidden room with Leon. He was still carrying the secretary on his shoulder, and he was slowly getting tired of it as his shoulder felt sore. “Why did you abduct this shit? Kindly tell me so I would have the reason not to toss him over the window,” Van insisted. Leon sighed and said, “We need the code.”The code, Van repeated in his mind. He felt extremely confused. The code of what? And what does the petty secretary have to do with the code? Van stopped walking and faced Leon who was at his back. “Code, you said? Do you mind if I ask what it is for?” Leon looked at Van. “It is for that Ledger.”Van staggered his head. “A ledger needs a code?” he asked again for confirmation before he turned his back on Leon. Without waiting for a reply, he started walking on the stairs again. “The file we obtained is the document needed to enter the place. The ledger was in that niche,” Leon answered Van's query.
Clandestine Affair, book 1 of Affair Duology, is finally completed! This is the first novel I’ve completed so far and it is a long and hard journey as procrastination always gets the best of me. I enjoyed writing this and I will start writing book 2 of the Affair Duology as soon as I finished editing and revising book 1. All the revelations will be revealed and explained in the second book. If you came to hate Vishnu in the first book, his actions would be justified (I hope so) in the second book. Also, book 2 will include stories of our side characters. I hope you support and love the second book as much as you do in the CA.That's all! We’ll see each other in the second book, readers. Love lots!
KIERSONI always liked Vishnu and I always will. Obviously, I don't know where it all started. Is it when our first argument happened?Or was it when he saw me jump at the school wall because I was planning to cut classes and he reported it to the principal?Did I fall deeper when we were arguing all the time and chances we had? Am I already whipped when we became friends?Did I fall too hard?Maybe I did. No… I am certain. I did fall harder. It would always be a painful yet happy memory of when my grandfather sent Derrick Emerson to me. I was enthusiastic for Derrick to meet my friends. I was happy when they became close. All those happy memories when I was in high school were with them. I was happy because I am with them…“Jerson,” Vishnu called me. I lazily looked at him as I raised my brows. “What?” I asked. Vishnu smiled cheekily and he squeezed my cheeks. “Guess what? I like someone!”I faked a smile. Of course, I know who it was. “Derrick, was it?” I asked. Though, I was s
“An apology without litigation is just manipulation, Vishnu. Remember this day. You killed this man… you said that you want him dead… and his death was your fault.”Vishnu aggressively shook his head as he clenched his fist while kneeling down. Kierson was really dead and he saw it with his own eyes. Kierson died and it was all his fault. “It’s just funny to see how this man could easily forgive you after everything you’ve done to him. From how you’ve pushed him into his insanity in your senior days up to how you chose Derrick five years ago, and still choose Derrick after neglecting him even though that means he’ll die. Isn’t it worse than dying? Yes?”Every word served as a dagger that pierced his heart. Vishnu grabbed his chest as he felt like his heart was clenching. The scene where Kierson was lying down with his blood on the ground was piercing a hole through his soul. The feeling was unpleasant. The void in his heart kept on getting bigger. Darkness started to invade him. Va
Kierson was all tied up. Valenn was dragging him out of the mansion while Leon and Harvey were on their back — following them. The whole mansion was a hodgepodge. The shattered glasses caused by the bullets were scattered around. Most of the artifacts were broken. The paintings were hanging down and the chairs and tables were turned over. Harvey, Valenn, and Leon were wearing masks like a criminal. “Stop dragging! I can walk!” Kierson shouted. “We would want to let go because of your weight but it wouldn’t be believable if I let you walk there by yourself unscathed,” Leon replied. Kierson’s eyes twitched. “What the hell are you planning?”Valenn tsked. “I know that you’re still hoping for Vishnu to have a change of heart, Kierson. Before everything else, I’ll have to wake you from your delusions.”“Are you kidding me? Untie me! Pronto!” Kierson struggled and tried to free himself from Valenn's grasp. He was also continuously cursing at them but the three didn’t mind.“Gag his mou
Kierson began finding some clues and documents related to Alex Ferrer in his grandfather’s office. He rummaged through the whole room. From the old man's desk, the cabinets, and the shelves but unfortunately, he could not find anything. Everything was a mess as he nearly turned the whole room upside-down. Kierson sighed and sat on the floor. He wiped his wet palm on his handkerchief. He wiped his beads of sweat and sat on the couch near the table. Gladly, he was okay. The abnormal sweating stopped. His heart rate came back to normal. It was as if his anxiety episode never happened. Fortunately, he overcame it without somebody’s help. He came over it without the help of his psychiatrist. Kierson stared at the ceiling as he pondered Alex Ferrer’s possible logical reasons for ruining everyone’s life. Alex Ferrer is the reason for all of these twists and turns that ruined most people’s lives.Kierson wished to know everything. “Just why the fuck was Alex Ferrer keep on pestering us?
“What do you want?” Derrick asked. “You’re unexpectedly more helpful and more receptive to cooperating with us than I thought,” Kier asserted. Derrick rolled his eyes. “Just tell me what you want… ask me what you want to know. I have nothing to hide anyway,” he urged. “You’re boring,” Kier commented as he plopped on the seat in front of Derrick. Derrick chuckled. “I get that a lot.”Kier turned his head and slanted his back against the backrest of his chair. He pressed his lips and stared at Derrick. Seeing Derrick up close, he could not condemn Vishnu. There was no doubt that Vishnu really took Kierson to be a substitute for his lover. No matter what angle, Kierson, and Derrick really have similarities in terms of facial features and height. It was like Kierson was more of an Emerson than a Ferrer. Eye color and innate autocratic aura aside, Kierson didn’t get the Ferrers traits. Kier sighed and said, “What do you know about Alex Ferrer?”Derrick tilted his head. “Beats me. Th
“Harvey escaped,” Kier reported as soon as he entered Kierson's office. Kierson clenched his jaw as he put down all the pictures signifying that Alec Ferrer was the new Police Chief. That means that in order to get that position, Alex Ferrer had to brutally kill, his younger brother, Harold Ferrer. Alex was the one who killed Kierson’s grandfather and with Wayne Emerson’s aid, Alex Ferrer managed to kill Noah’s parents and his parents. But how did Wayne Emerson meet Alex Ferrer and what pushed Alex Ferrer to go this far?Why does Wayne Emerson desperately want to kill Kierson? What was Noah’s reason for engaging with the Empresí and joining hands with Wayne Emerson? What made the Empresarium obscure all the underworld's crimes? Why does the Avialanché want to kill all the criminals? What stirred up all of these problems?Kierson couldn’t possibly answer those questions. As he, himself, was just merely a pawn. An ignorant pawn who was scrambling according to the players’ method.H
“Kier was drugged, Kierson. I don’t know how it happened but when I came back, I just saw him in a drunken state,” Harvey explained. “Jane Draco’s body was already missing and Valenn was found unconscious inside. He was injected with propofol.” Harvey looked at Kierson’s eyes with his knitted brows. “Vishnu and Derrick had already left after you left and I haven’t seen the suspect.”Kierson furrowed his brows. “Have you talked to Valenn? Does he know who the suspect is?” he asked. Harvey pressed his lips. “That’s what makes it more strange. He said it was your mother, Clementine.”“What?!” Kierson exclaimed. “My parents are both dead. Is he serious?!”“That’s right, Kierson. Unless your grandfather lied to you or someone was using your parent's face,” he mumbled. “What about Kier? Is he okay?” Kierson inquired. “He’s okay. I guess?"Jerson nodded and stared at the cutlery on the small table. There were also pipes and on the other table were pliers and scissors. The same day after
A man so lost finally ruined his home. Even after dismissing Kio Bourner, Kierson couldn’t get those words out of his head. He was thinking about it over and over again. What happened that made Alex Ferrer hate the Ferrer family so much? What did Alex do to make the Ferrer household hate him? Why do things keep on getting worse? Why do these things find no end?Kierson immediately called Harvey and told them to wait in the Ferrer’s estate. He had to find Alex Ferrer. He knows that Wayne Emerson wasn’t the mastermind of all of this trouble, but what he didn’t expect was that it was his grandfather's older brother. He didn’t even know that Harold Ferrer has an older brother. No one told him about Alex Ferrer. Not his parents. Not his grandfather. They only knew how to keep Kierson in the dark. Arriving at his estate, everyone in the patrol hurriedly runs toward him. “What happened?” Kierson asked with his brows furrowed. One of his people out of breath retorted, “The Oliveira bro
