Chapter 16

“Amber!” Alexander called out, tapping her shoulder as she stood in the school cafeteria.

“Hey babe,” she responded, reaching out to touch him.

Alexander stepped back, his eyes blazing with anger. “Don’t touch me. How dare you? Who gave you the audacity to stand in front of my beautiful girlfriend and insult her?” he demanded, his voice firm and controlled.

“Oh, so you’re yelling at your babe because of this boyfriend snatcher?” Amber retorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Without warning, Alexander slapped her. “Never use that word to describe my girlfriend again, or you’ll get more than this,” he warned, his voice low and menacing.

Amber’s eyes filled with tears as she cried out, “I hate you, Alexander,” before storming off.

The cafeteria fell silent, students staring in shock and whispering among themselves. They couldn’t believe Alexander had stood up for his girlfriend so fiercely. It was something he had never done before.
