Chapter 19

Night

Bryn and I woke, still tangled in each other’s arms. I made a sound halfway between a growl and a purr and pulled her even closer so I could bury my nose in her neck. I loved the sound of her giggle, but I loved feeling it bubble through her chest even more.

“I’m glad you’re in bed with me and not making out with the toilet,” I joked.

She scoffed and pinched my forearm. “Watch it, you.”

I chuckled.

“I’m usually fine until I get up. That’s when the nausea hits.”

“Is there anything I can do to make it easier on you? I can make you tea all day, but if I could be doing more, I want to know.”

A breath shuddered out of her. “I think I just have to wait it out. Hopefully, the morning sickness and constant energy drain will ease up soon, and I’ll feel better again.”
