Chapter 2: Montenegro Siblings

As the son goes down, Keisley Montenegro, Sherly’s second brother, who is both lively and outgoing, arrives at her school to pick her up. This wasn’t on her schedule, but since it was her brother, she did not refuse. After all, even though she had her own car, she refused to use it. Why? She felt that it would only give her trouble. She doesn’t like that kind of trouble.

Keisley saw a lot of students, and she saw Sherly at the entrance of her university, talking to a woman. Just looking at it, even though he is an outgoing person and loves to have fun, he could still see that his sister hates this woman. Of course, he knows why. After all, this woman has been all over the news as the daughter of a businessman in the country.

Sherly smiled when she saw Keisley get out of his ordinary car. However, even though he is still using his ordinary, outdated car, his face still can’t be ignored. After all, Keisley is really a handsome man. Keisley grinned, ready to tease her about her day. He always does this to piss her off, but she always answers him wittingly and cunningly, like his father. He could see the resemblance between his sister and his father. It gives him chills.

His lovely, dear sister is picking up his father’s bad personality; he wanted to cry.

Keisley leaned against his car and waited for Sherly to walk towards him. He knows what kind of person his sister is. No matter who they are, they won't let other women near him. Especially someone she hates. Thus, when Sherly arrived in front of him, when they started teasing each other, in the midst of their laughter, someone came towards them. It was the woman whom Sherly talked to.

‘What was her name again?’ Keisley thought. However, he didn’t think about it too deeply. After all, she’s just a nobody.

“Hey, Sherly,” Elisia called Sherly, and this made Sherly frown. After all, she had already said goodbye to her.

‘Why is she still sticking her nose here?’ Sherly thought that this woman, Elisia, was annoying.

“Hmm?”

Elisia smiled suggestively, which made both Sherly and Keisley raise their eyebrows. Especially when they saw that her smile was playing with her lips.

“I heard you have a handsome brother; care to introduce me?”

Sherly startled. This is the first time someone has boldly asked her to introduce herself to her brother. This isn’t the first time someone wants her to introduce her brother, but asking boldly is.

Sherly, as always quick with her words, stared at Elisia, arching her brows, and gave her a sly grin. She doesn’t like it when someone is trying to get themselves close to her brothers. Thus, she needed to give this woman a reason to hate her so that she wouldn't be able to do this again.

“Well, Elisia…” Nodding her head, she agreed, “I indeed do have a handsome brother. However, I must warn you: he has a very rare talent, you know?”

Elisia’s eyes twinkle. “Rare talent?"She asked.

Sherly nodded her head. “Yes, talent. Well, as you can see, he has a talent for turning charming moments into awkward ones. You’re not someone who could handle awkward moments, right? Still interested?”

Elisia isn’t one of those intelligent ladies. However, she still has a talent that could tell whether someone is making fun of her or making her a fool. Thus, hearing Sherly’s words, she could tell that this woman had no intention of introducing her brother to her.

Keisley chuckled, appreciating his sister’s ability. Of course, he loves her for being like this. He could still remember when they first saw her. When they first showed her attitude in this way, it made them feel like they wanted to care for her more.

Seeing how his sister handled this kind of situation, Keisley smiled and said, “Shall we go?”

Before Elisia could answer, Sherly waved her hands goodbye. “Bye.”

Sherly and Keisley walk towards Keisley’s car. When they finally got inside, Sherly couldn’t help but sigh. However, her eyes were full of mischievousness. “Oh goodness. Perks of being a charming Montenegro, my dear brother, Keisley,” she teased, looking at her brother. “Now, let’s get out of here. Let's go before they all bombard me to be their matchmaker.”

Keisley Oly laughed and drove the car away from Sherly’s university.

Everyone knew Keisley; after all, even though he is easygoing and loves to party, he was still at the top of his batch. No one could replace him as number one. That’s one of the reasons why they all love him. He’s different from their eldest brother.

“So, where are we going?” Sherly asked, looking curiously at her brother.

“Kyle asked the two of us to visit him. After all, he couldn’t even leave his office.”

Sherly laughed loudly. “He’s getting more and more like dad,” she commented.

After the long drive, they finally arrived at their brother’s company. At such a young age, Kyle Montenegro, a serious person, became one of the most renowned businessmen in the business world. His cunning personality was the main reason why he could reach the heights he had right now. With his father as his backer, it could boost up more.

When the receptionist saw the two of them, they needed no words. The receptionist immediately gave them a VIP pass wherein they could come and go to wherever part of the company. Since the receptionist knew that they were their chairman’s siblings, they did not really need a pass. However, for the purpose of the procedure—to know who, when, and how many people visited—they needed a pass. It was for security purposes as well. Thus, Shirly and Keisley did not say anything about it.

They took a special elevator and stopped in front of an imposing double-door office. From where they were standing, Sherly could imagine his brother’s face right now. Dwelling with a lot of paperwork, she could tell that he'd snap out at any moment.

Kyle Montenegro, the eldest son of the Montenegro family, is a serious businessman. He is different from his father, but someone else is the same as well. From a very young age, he told his father that he’s not going to follow his footing, and it was Keisley that would go to politics. With his outgoing personality, it was impossible, but no one saw how he worked.

Sherly looked at his brother, Keisley, amused. “Remember this, big brother Keis: when we step into Kyle’s domain, humor is appreciated, but please, please, big brother, do it lightly, okay? You know what kind of person our eldest brother is.” Then she hugged herself. “Wow, I feel like we’re going to enter the lion’s den,” she joked.

Keisley grinned. Of course, he knows what he should and shouldn’t do. After all, he’d been with his brother for as long as he lived. Thus, it isn’t an issue at all. Also, he acknowledges the unspoken understanding between themselves.

They looked up and saw that there’s a name engraved on the double door. “Kye Montenegro, Chairman.”

Upon entering Kyle’s office, they could easily find Kyle immersed in a stack of documents on his table. The glow of the sunset from his big glass window reflects inside his office. When Kyle felt that there was someone in his office, he looked up and saw his brother and sister in front of him.

Immediately, his serious and formal expression changed and became different. It seems like he’s not the ruthless businessman that everyone talked about.

“Sherly, Keisley,” he greeted. His tone wasn’t like that of a businessman at all. “What are you guys doing here?” he asked.

Sherly knew that after a long time of being in this office, he finally did not remember that he was the one who wanted to see them. Unless it was the secretary who told him, since he’s having a hard time in his office.

Sherly, as always, as quick as she is, replied to his brother’s words with a smile. "Well, I just thought you were so busy and unable to leave this den of yours. Thus, we’d grace you with our charming presence, big brother Kyle.”

Seeing how much his sister teased him, Kyle raised an eyebrow. His serious demeanor can now't be seen. However, his voice softened and had a hint of amusement. “Charming, indeed.” Nodding his head, he went to the single sofa. “So, what’s the real reason for this unexpected visit?” he added.

Sherly leaned against the edge of Kyle’s desk while Keisley sat down on one of the single sofas as well. Sherly said, “We’ve got some matters to discuss, big brother.” When she stared at her brothers, she laughed. “Just kidding. We’re only here to catch up.”

With that, the three started to talk about their lives. Because of Sherly’s brother’s busyness, it was really impossible for her to be with them for twenty-four hours. Especially their fathers, who almost live outside because of various projects he is trying to accomplish. It made Sherly a little lonely, but in the end, she understood everything.
