Adele's pov

My eyes snapped opened at the loud blaring of my phone's ringtone.. I sleepily reached for and received the call without checking the caller's ID.

"Hello!" I yelled at whoever called me.

"Yo.. miss Rodgers, good morning to you too" a familiar voice responded.

My eyes grew wider and I made to sit up abruptly, but an arm tightly wrapped around my waist kept pulling me down.

"Arthur?"

"The one and only" he replied.

I smiled.

"It's a surprise that you called me, is Jasmine's phone not reachable?" I asked.

He went silent, then I heard shuffling sound as though he's moving.

"We talked last night, I just wanted to inform you I'm back..."

He's back? Wasn't he supposed to arrive today? Or did I mistook the date?

"...you know, before you hear it from Jas and send me to an early grave"

"Oh"

I smiled...

That was before when I was still obsessed with him, I'd be sad and angry when he informs Jas about everything he does... everything that goes on in his life.
