He blinked, "What?!"

"She's gone, dude," Rune repeated, pulling off his coat as he progressed further into the room, "Adler wanted space, so sent her out of the manor. Do you want that in Chinese? I could translate."

To recap, entering the manor the day before, he presumed she was asleep upon finding her room dark. Deciding not to intrude, he woke up the following day to discover her absence throughout the entire manor. As he was about to sound the alarm, Rune surprised him with this information.
