EMBRY'S POV.

She wouldn't meet my gaze; she had been red as a cherry all through the drive, although it was getting late now, and perhaps it was this time of the year again? The Christmas season, the end of the year, was drawing closer, the fog was lifting higher, and the cold breeze, which smelled like home.

I cradled my arms around her neck, pushing her closer so she rested her head against my shoulder, not saying anything either. She wasn't tensed up; she was quite relaxed, yet it bothered me to see that I wasn't certain of whatever was going on in her head at the moment.

“Do you miss him already?” I asked, breaking the silence; she lifted her hands off my shoulders, easing up and turning to face me.

“It’s not that… but I'm just... I'm worried.” She stuttered, finally speaking up. She was thinking about him; I had only blurted that out as a joke, and now I see I was wrong. I cleared my throat, brushing my finger through her hair.

“Worried? Why?” I asked again, with all intent, and

TRIVIA'S POV.Was it love? Was it an obsession, was it? Or was it the need to possess them?.They were mine, and yes, I felt the need to put a dagger through anyone who had the mere thought of taking them away from me. I was head over heels for them, but was I willing to really live with them for the rest of my life?.The thought of holding both men in each of my arms made my head swell with excitement; it made my heart race on impulse, yet I ask myself, am I really invested in all this? Would I grow bored of them? Will they grow bored of me?. With time they will forget everything we shared and wish they weren't tied up with just one woman. It was probably an aftereffect from my rebirth or whatever crap I had gotten myself into, but I could no longer feel the mate pull; I no longer had a sense of bound loyalty; I could think with my head now and make decisions. It wasn't like that for them; they were feeling the mate pull; every nerve and neuron they had seemed to be on fire. I couldn

EMBRY'S POV.My mind was strained; I couldn't stop thinking about them, and now I had to admit that I felt a little pang of jealousy. I didn't want trivia loving Zed more than she loved me, and I didn't want Zed loving trivia more than he loved me.I was no better than an attention whore, and I knew it, a frustrated groan escaping my lips as I dabbed the towel against my hair walking out of the bathroom.“When did you get in?” I asked, suddenly becoming self-aware. She grumbled beneath her breath and got herself into the bed.“Sheila?” I asked again, pulling on my pyjamas.“What do you care! Haven't you been out and about with your trivia?” She asked, fuming from anger. Her feet were wobbly, and she slipped. I had moved right on time to hold her in place; she had a heavy stench of alcohol around her.“Are you insane? What the fuck is wrong with you? How could you drink? You are fucking drunk you are pregnanr, my child, and you are so careless!". I spat bitterly, pissed to the core.“

TRIVIA'S POV.A loud yawn eased across my lips as I brushed my palms across my eyes; the room was empty, no one was in, and this wasn't the studio I had fallen asleep in.Did he carry me out? Good lord. How long did I fall asleep for? And how deep did I sleep?.I stretched, crawling out of bed to see that I had even changed clothes; I had a silky white transparent robe with just the right designs on it to cover my tits and cunt.A smile settled on my lips. Glancing at the room, it was his; I could tell by the huge portrait that rested against the wall, his scent, which had lingered in the air. Everything about the arrangement screamed Zed.I don't recall having sex with him, which only meant he had brought me to this room. Changed my outfit and left me to wonder what he had done about his strained cock.Wasn't he like, hard and? Stuff Or didn't I turn him on?.Grumbling beneath my breath, I approached the room, sliding my way past the curtains. It was morning; I could see from here t

EREBUS POV.I knew two things for sure: I've never seen this lady in my entire life, and the second being, no one else apart from Alaric and I knew about our relationship while it lasted, so how did this frail-looking woman know?.Even as dazed as I am I feel no need to lie to her. She had this look on her face now that would easily make me pick her out; one said she seemed shy one bit.“Really?“ I asked, spurting out the words as I settled right next to her, glaring... oh... what exactly was I expected to do?.My belly churned, and I was antsy.“Yes, I do, and please don't go around telling lies; it makes the worst of it... So, Erebus, how about you start off from there?” Her blue eyes staring daggers into mine, I stretched on my lips as I seated back into the chair.“We broke up; he dumped my ass… says he wants to go public and stuff; I couldn't give him that we fought, and I found out he had another man. Are you happy now? “ I responded just like I had been sired by her.My most ta

ZED'S POV.“Do you want to talk about it? Or do you enjoy pulling my strings like a goddamn puppet?” I asked, crossing both of my arms while settling into a couch; my gaze remained pinned on hers.“I. I … I don't know, okay? It's quite harsh and a little different, but it's not all that bad; calm down, Zed, she urged me. Barring the eyelash in my direction, I could feel my resolve broken right on the spot. I wasn't even strong enough to oppose her. Well, I did have my own ends, and, whatnots, I can say I'm surprised by this sudden change, but I was dying to know what the hell was going on at this moment. “It's something I can't explain; none of you would believe me anyway, but I found out he was my mate; I didn't have it anymore. I'm going after him. I figured I need my peace the most, so I let it be...”“And?” I questioned, cutting into her words.“And I did let it be zed; I swear I had no idea he was in the pack. I had no idea he was with you. I came in to speak to you. I missed yo

ZED's POV.A deafening silence had followed my word at the other end of the phone. I bet he was as stunned as I was too. For a brief moment, silence ensued between us, and all I could hear was his hitched breath on the other end of the phone.“You can't possibly mean this.” He slurred, the pain and confusion evident in his words.“Well, I wouldn't pull a trick like that on you now, would I? He came in for a meeting today; she ran into him, and then boom, things escalated pretty quickly.” I admitted recalling how the scenario had earlier played out.“Really? You think... Hold up, how about trivia? Where is she right now?”he asked a very obvious question.“She's in her room, probably pouting and grumbling. You know she had met him before, he swears he had never seen her, but that's not what she seemed to act like; she claimed to have opted out when she found us, but I don't know what to believe.” I admitted, pinching the bridge of my nose,Slowly I reached for a tissue, wiping off the s

EREBUS POV.I've never been so satisfied to see someone burning red with fury, he slammed the door open and shut, standing before me seething with fury.“Oh, Alpha Zed, take you long enough, have your seat.” I offered, blowing invisible dust at the tip of my nails, I wanted him to suffer and perhaps wallow in pain, the bastard and I had never seen eye to eye, it was just as anything else, we hated each other, what more could be there to discuss.but perhaps this is the best time to take my payback.“Seat? Is that what you called me out here for, lord erebus?” He asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm, “It's about trivia, so would you like to be civil about it, or do you want to cause a ruckus?” I asked, I could see a bitter frown stretch on his face, my words were like thorns to his flesh, in which he grabbed the stem of the flower even tighter, glaring wide eyed at me with more anger. He had fire, I would give him that, too much fire for someone in his position, a laugh escaped my l

ZEDS POV.Moment of truth,This was bullshit; I never for once thought I would have to speak to Erebus about it, and most importantly, I never expected myself to come out about this to all people. It was as dramatic as one would believe, yet here I am, about to do just that.“Zed?” He called out in a faint tone, I had never seen him so calm my entire life, I mean, how was it so easy for him to speak about our relationship like this? How could he be so calm about the entire thing? He confessed his feelings to me like it didn't matter.“Do you remember the annual ball?“ I have corked my brows up with him.“We've had many annual balls; for goodness sake, could you be more specific Zed?” he asked. I felt a tingle run down my spine hearing him call out my name without honorifics or title.“The one where the red blood moon had happened?” I asked, and he nodded on cue.“That was years ago; what does that have to do with anything?” He asked in response, getting rather antsy and quite eager.“

EREBUS’S POVThe room was quiet, except for the faint scratch of pen on paper and the occasional crackle of the fire. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing a hand over my face as I stared at the endless reports spread across the table. Running a pack was hard enough, but merging three packs and the Lycans’ territory into one? It felt impossible some days. But I didn’t regret it. Not for a second. Our decision to merge the packs had been a bold one, but it was the right one. Together, we were stronger, safer, and better equipped to protect our family. I glanced out the window, the sprawling landscape of our territory bathed in the soft light of the afternoon sun. This was home now. And at the heart of it was Trivia. The thought of her brought a faint smile to my lips, even as exhaustion tugged at me. She was the reason we worked so hard, the reason we pushed ourselves to the brink every day. “Still working?” Zed’s voice broke through my thoughts. I turned to see him lean

TRIVIA’S POVThe ocean stretched endlessly before us, its waves sparkling like a sea of diamonds under the golden afternoon sun. The air was warm but carried a light breeze that smelled of salt and freedom. Everything about this place felt surreal—perfect in a way I’d only ever imagined. We were staying in a secluded villa perched on the edge of a cliff, its large windows and open layout making it feel like the sea was part of the house itself. The honeymoon had been Zed’s idea, though Erebus had insisted on finding a place as breathtaking as this. Embry, true to his nature, had made sure every detail was flawlessly planned. “Relax, Trivia,” Erebus said, lounging on the oversized outdoor daybed as he sipped a glass of wine. He was shirtless, his toned chest glistening in the sun, and his green eyes sparkled with mischief. “You’re making us nervous with all that pacing.” “I’m not pacing,” I said, pausing mid-step. “You are,” Zed chimed in, his golden eyes crinkling with amuseme

TRIVIA’S POVThe morning sun streamed through the windows, bathing the room in a soft, golden glow. The air hummed with a mixture of excitement and nerves as I stood before the mirror, adjusting the delicate lace on my dress. It was beautiful—soft ivory with floral embroidery that cascaded down the skirt like a meadow in bloom. The dress wasn’t flashy, but it was me. And today was ours. A knock at the door broke through my thoughts. “Come in,” I called, my voice trembling slightly. The door creaked open, and Erebus stepped inside, his usual smirk replaced with something softer. He was dressed in a dark green suit that complemented his eyes, his hair styled in a way that made him look almost regal. “Wow,” he said, his voice low as he took me in. “You look... perfect.” My cheeks warmed, and I turned back to the mirror, fussing with a loose strand of hair. “I don’t know about perfect. My hands won’t stop shaking.” He crossed the room in two strides, gently taking my hands in

ZED’S POVThe grass beneath us was cool, opposite to the heat still radiating from our bodies after the fight. The silence between the three of us felt less like an absence and more like an understanding. There was a weight to it—a shared acknowledgment of everything that had brought us here. But then Erebus broke it, as he always did, his smirk returning full force. “We stink.” Embry shot him a look, his lips twitching as if suppressing a smile. “You stink. The rest of us are fine.” “Speak for yourself,” I said, running a hand through my hair. Sweat clung to my skin, the fight leaving me sticky and in desperate need of a shower. Erebus stretched lazily, his grin widening. “Well, if we’re all in agreement, let’s do something about it.” He was on his feet in a second, offering a hand to pull me up. I took it, and Embry followed without a word. The cool night air bit at my skin as we made our way back to the house, our bare feet quiet against the earth. Inside, the silence o

TRIVIA POVThe dining room felt lit by the soft glow of candlelight that bounced off the polished wood table. The four of us sat together, plates of food spread out before us. It was rare to have such a quiet evening, just us, no pack business, no outside worries. I cherished these moments more than I could ever express. Erebus was on my right, lazily twirling his fork through a pile of roasted vegetables, his sharp eyes scanning the room like he was still expecting trouble to walk through the door. Across from me, Embry leaned back in his chair, sipping from a glass of red wine, his stoic expression softened by the faintest hint of a smile. Zed, to my left, was the only one eating with real enthusiasm, his plate already half empty as he reached for a second helping. “This is nice,” I said softly, breaking the comfortable silence. Zed turned to me, his lips quirking into a grin. “It is. We should do this more often.” “We should,” Erebus agreed, though his tone carried a touch

EREBUS POVThe ride back to the territory was filled with a comfortable tension, the kind that lingered between people too connected to let words truly hurt but too proud to leave certain feelings unspoken. Embry’s voice rose above the hum of the car, his tone sharp yet tinged with exasperation.“A *hug*, Erebus? You *hugged* him?” he repeated, as though saying it louder would make it more absurd. “How do you expect me not to be jealous when you pull something like that?”Zed snorted from his seat, running his fingers through Trivia’s hair as she leaned against him. “I’m more worried about how long you two were alone. It’s Alaric, after all.”“Both of you are impossible,” I muttered, gripping the wheel tighter as the road stretched endlessly before us. “It was just a hug—a *friendly* one, mind you. What was I supposed to do? Push him away?”“Yes,” they both replied in unison.I laughed despite myself, the sound cutting through the charged atmosphere. Trivia stirred slightly, her lashe

ZED'S POV The frown on my face hardened as I cut into the bacon served on my plate. I had long lost my appetite the very moment Ethan had asked for his own food and settled into the chair.I didn't want to seem like an annoying, insecure, and overprotective lover at first, which is why I didn't want to seem way too forward. I tried holding my sanity and anger, but I just couldn't avoid it.I couldn't afford to hold it in anymore, seeing how often Ethan stole glances at Trivia, who was way too busy minding her food to observe my obviously annoying brother keeping his gaze pinned to her.Even after I had given him a stern warning to clear off her and told him she was my mate, he still would not stop gawking shamelessly in her direction; it was making me sick and causing me such irritation I never had to withhold before. Filled with anger, I slammed my fork and spoon against the table, dressing all of their attention towards me while I glanced in direction.“Are you here to eat? Or her

I wasn't entirely sure how to act or what to wish for, but I believe I already had enough. She snuggled even closer to me, and a smile settled on my lips as I watched her push her eyes open lazily before a yawn eased through her lips.“Good morning, my love." I greeted her, and she smiled faintly before pulling even closer to me.I wanted times like this to last forever—times like this when we had not a single care in the world other than being in each other's arms—this was all I wished for.“What!” She asked, giggling while my gaze remained pinned on her.“Nothing, is anything wrong?” I asked again, and she smiled faintly before letting out a gentle laughter.“You keep staring at me; it makes me anxious, you know?” She asked. I leaned forward to settle a kiss on her temples and down to her lips.“It's just that you look way beautiful each time
