TRIVIA's POV.
“princess?” I asked aloud, and then it dawned on me that they might have been mistaken.. I glanced slowly around, but nothing struck my familiarity. Before getting a chance to talk, a pair of strange domineering yet drop--dead gorgeous green orbs bore into mine.
I remained stiff in bed, strangely attracted to the pair of green eyes that drew closer to me. . I said nothing, and neither did he bother to say a thing.. I felt his eyes scan my body. Head to toe while I melted beneath his gaze.
"Finally,"Finally, you are awake, my love.” He blurted out, and a frown was quick to etch to my lips.. I parted my lips as if to make complaints but I ended up smiling meekly for no reason at all.
“Mate!” Fionna helped blurt put through my lips, fighting hard to take control.. I tried locking her off the mind link to no avail, my always gloomy and weak wolf suddenly became energetic
“He's ours! Mine! Mine! Mate!” She rang through my ears, yet those words repeatedly eased off my lips.
“I know we are bound to be together.. We belong together, now and forever the only Irish--looking handsome level of GreekGreek god added to me.
He trailed his hand and drove my hair slowly. Itucked the fallen strand behind my ears and slowly towards my face. I froze in place while his hands grazed across my lips.
I was no princess. I knew something was definitely odd; the way he looked at me, I could see it in his face. I looked like the most priceless treasure he had.
“Get away from me, you fucking freak,” I snapped as soon as I averted my gaze, off from whatever trance it was that I had been in.
“I don't know you! Don't touch me,” I snapped while he pulled away from me.
“You really must have hit your head hard. You don't remember who I am?” He asked, like that was meant to ring a bell.
“Who the fuck are you? And why are you looking at me with those enchanting, loving, green eyes? I asked again. I swallowed hard and ran my hands into my hair from frustration. What was he doing to me?
The door pushed open right on cue again as two figures made their way hastily into the room. ! My heart skipped beats at the sudden recognition of the faces before me.
“Mom? Dad?” I called out, but then it wasn't possible; they were dead. Seven years ago.
“ trivia.. You made us worried! We told you to stop wandering those fields alone! You could have died!" ! My mother yelled and pressed her body onto mine as streaks of tears fell off her cheeks.
It wasn't a dream; it seemed vivid at first, but then her warm tears fell against my skin. And I knew immediately no dream could be that real.
“A minute” I yelled, jumped off the bed, rushing towards the bathroom, pushed open the door, and there I was, staring at my reflection in the mirror. I looked the fucking same. I pulled off the top to the side as the memory eased into my head.
I was shot by an arrow. I remember.
But to my surprise, there was no sign of any injury. I had my cheeks pulled as it was as real as anything else. Something was off.
I didn't travel back In time, I looked the same age and around the same body; nothing had changed; things looked pretty modern as well. The arrow did not cause any injuries. My parents, who died in a car accident, were out there, and there was an oddly-looking hot man calling me his love. What was I missing?.
“Babe! Are you okay? Should I come in? Is anything wrong?” He asked again, and my heart hammered against my chest. Had he just called me babe?.
I have not seen that man all through my life. How on earth was it fucking possible?
The door flung open right on cue, and the same annoyingly hot guy stormed into the bathroom.
"Uh, excuse me, manners?! I could have been naked for all I know,” I asked, yelling at the top of my voice. A smirk eased up to his lips, and I saw him zone out for a bit. The look in his eyes spoke volumes of the dirtiest thoughts.
“There is not an inch I have not seen, but honestly, you are scaring me trivia; what's the deal? " he asked, totally oblivious to the situation at hand. I peered my head slightly behind as it seemed to be the same case with that of my parents, who were breathing fine and seemed to be anything but dead.
“Trivia. At least. That's a good sign. I'm the same person.” I added in, trying hard to wrap my head around all that had happened.
“Babe? What's wrong?” He asked again; fuck, even his voice was hot. deep and sultry, hearing his voice worked up a nerve in me. I felt a heat rush between my thighs.
“Easy..love..come here.. I'll help calm your nerves.” He added, pulling closer to me with his arms wide, I launched past him and stormed out of the bathroom towards my parents, who both stared at me like nothing other than an insane person.
“Who are you?” I asked, my fingers pointed at Mr. Sexy, and then I turned my gaze suspiciously towards the two figures who were supposedly meant to be my parents. ``you both.. Who are you? My parents died seven years ago. What's going on?” I added worry and panic evident in my tone.
“I am Zed, your mate, your best friend. They are your parents; you went off hiking just as usual; a storm hit; you fell off; a head hit; and luckily, you are alive. But you don't seem to remember much, do you?” He asked, and I shook my head.
None of it rang a bell; something entirely different had happened.
“You are Trivia, the daughter of Alpha Clark and Luna Tessa. In a week, your twenty-fourth birthday is coming up. You were born on May sixth. Does it ring a bell?” He added in again, and that had struck a nerve!I ran with my hand into my hair again.
In my world, I was clocking twenty-four, but then I was born on July fourteenth.”
“Oh shit!” I muttered, and as it dawned on me, I had been given a second chance at life. I remained the daughter of the alphas, the same wolf and person, but it wasn't me. This life.. It belonged to another; it was in a fucking alternate universe. I had been granted a chance to take revenge on Erebus. And this time I had a fucking hot mate.
EREBUS’S POVThe room was quiet, except for the faint scratch of pen on paper and the occasional crackle of the fire. I leaned back in my chair, rubbing a hand over my face as I stared at the endless reports spread across the table. Running a pack was hard enough, but merging three packs and the Lycans’ territory into one? It felt impossible some days. But I didn’t regret it. Not for a second. Our decision to merge the packs had been a bold one, but it was the right one. Together, we were stronger, safer, and better equipped to protect our family. I glanced out the window, the sprawling landscape of our territory bathed in the soft light of the afternoon sun. This was home now. And at the heart of it was Trivia. The thought of her brought a faint smile to my lips, even as exhaustion tugged at me. She was the reason we worked so hard, the reason we pushed ourselves to the brink every day. “Still working?” Zed’s voice broke through my thoughts. I turned to see him lean
TRIVIA’S POVThe ocean stretched endlessly before us, its waves sparkling like a sea of diamonds under the golden afternoon sun. The air was warm but carried a light breeze that smelled of salt and freedom. Everything about this place felt surreal—perfect in a way I’d only ever imagined. We were staying in a secluded villa perched on the edge of a cliff, its large windows and open layout making it feel like the sea was part of the house itself. The honeymoon had been Zed’s idea, though Erebus had insisted on finding a place as breathtaking as this. Embry, true to his nature, had made sure every detail was flawlessly planned. “Relax, Trivia,” Erebus said, lounging on the oversized outdoor daybed as he sipped a glass of wine. He was shirtless, his toned chest glistening in the sun, and his green eyes sparkled with mischief. “You’re making us nervous with all that pacing.” “I’m not pacing,” I said, pausing mid-step. “You are,” Zed chimed in, his golden eyes crinkling with amuseme
TRIVIA’S POVThe morning sun streamed through the windows, bathing the room in a soft, golden glow. The air hummed with a mixture of excitement and nerves as I stood before the mirror, adjusting the delicate lace on my dress. It was beautiful—soft ivory with floral embroidery that cascaded down the skirt like a meadow in bloom. The dress wasn’t flashy, but it was me. And today was ours. A knock at the door broke through my thoughts. “Come in,” I called, my voice trembling slightly. The door creaked open, and Erebus stepped inside, his usual smirk replaced with something softer. He was dressed in a dark green suit that complemented his eyes, his hair styled in a way that made him look almost regal. “Wow,” he said, his voice low as he took me in. “You look... perfect.” My cheeks warmed, and I turned back to the mirror, fussing with a loose strand of hair. “I don’t know about perfect. My hands won’t stop shaking.” He crossed the room in two strides, gently taking my hands in
ZED’S POVThe grass beneath us was cool, opposite to the heat still radiating from our bodies after the fight. The silence between the three of us felt less like an absence and more like an understanding. There was a weight to it—a shared acknowledgment of everything that had brought us here. But then Erebus broke it, as he always did, his smirk returning full force. “We stink.” Embry shot him a look, his lips twitching as if suppressing a smile. “You stink. The rest of us are fine.” “Speak for yourself,” I said, running a hand through my hair. Sweat clung to my skin, the fight leaving me sticky and in desperate need of a shower. Erebus stretched lazily, his grin widening. “Well, if we’re all in agreement, let’s do something about it.” He was on his feet in a second, offering a hand to pull me up. I took it, and Embry followed without a word. The cool night air bit at my skin as we made our way back to the house, our bare feet quiet against the earth. Inside, the silence o
TRIVIA POVThe dining room felt lit by the soft glow of candlelight that bounced off the polished wood table. The four of us sat together, plates of food spread out before us. It was rare to have such a quiet evening, just us, no pack business, no outside worries. I cherished these moments more than I could ever express. Erebus was on my right, lazily twirling his fork through a pile of roasted vegetables, his sharp eyes scanning the room like he was still expecting trouble to walk through the door. Across from me, Embry leaned back in his chair, sipping from a glass of red wine, his stoic expression softened by the faintest hint of a smile. Zed, to my left, was the only one eating with real enthusiasm, his plate already half empty as he reached for a second helping. “This is nice,” I said softly, breaking the comfortable silence. Zed turned to me, his lips quirking into a grin. “It is. We should do this more often.” “We should,” Erebus agreed, though his tone carried a touch
