If I still had food left in my stomach, I would have barfed it all over the floor. “Why are you telling us all this?” Ru once again spoke up.

“You will forget me and everything else soon enough. Then you can go back to your little world and continue prancing around without any burdens. You’re welcome.”

“What are you-” A sharp inhale cut Ru’s words off.

“Are you out of your mind?!” the slim hunter gasped, horror on his otherwise blank face. Huh. So he could feel emotions after all. “You want to wipe the memory of the heir to the Puhvel dynasty? Without approval from the council? Have you lost it?”

“Hey, hold on a minute! What’s this about erasing our minds?” The two hunters ignored Ru and continued squaring off.

“I outrank you, James. So I suggest you watch your tone.” Nasos growled, a tick in his jaw.
