Liam's footsteps echoed on the cobblestone streets as he approached Eskaal's house. His anxiety grew when he knew that there was no other person who could tell him about her other than her mate. The air was tense with a mix of guilt, depression and anxiety.

He had been searching for Meagia, desperate to find her and reconnect after all these months. And now, he had come to Eskaal, hoping to get some answers. Eskaal's house was a modest one, with vines creeping up the walls and a slightly worn wooden door.
