Chapter 2

At that moment, four eyes met.

The fierce sinister eyes made An Taotao nervous, and she took a step back.

The sound of high heels stepping on the floor is remarkably abrupt in this expansive living room.

All the bodyguards heard it, and all of them looked at the source of the sound.

An Taotao's heart beat like thunder, her face turned white as her hands clutched the wedding dresses on both sides.

"Mr. King, she is Miss An." Huang Chen smiled and warmed up the awkward atmosphere.

An Taotao tried to say that she wasn't Miss An at all, but she didn't dare to make a sound and finally closed her mouth nervously.

Mr. King raised his eyebrows and looked at her with dark eyes.

That's the kind of eyes without temperature as if he's looking at dead people.

An Taotao feels that her legs are a little soft, but she can't fall down. She might be the supper of legendary snakes.

At last, Mr. King spoke and beckoned to her. "Come here."

An Taotao couldn't move, but when she regained consciousness, she walked towards Mr. King.

She stood uneasy in her heart, eyes raised warily.

He said nothing, and she dared not speak.

Suddenly, a pair of hands reached for An Taotao's skirt.

"Please save us. Please help us talk to Mr. King and give us another chance."

"Please intercede for us."

An Taotao realized that the two people who had begged for mercy a moment ago were holding her wedding dress and wanted her to intercede for them. The other one was shot on her left shoulder and thigh, and blood was flowing.

On the ground, except for the two who were still alive, the other five were dead,they were shot in the head

An Taotao quickly withdrew her gaze and looked at Mr. King again.

His face was expressionless, but his eyes were full of fun, as if he was wondering what she would do.

The bodyguard behind him is holding a pistol, and the cold muzzle is pointed at her. It seems that if she made a mistake, she will become one of them.

An Taotao's cheeks are as white as paper. When she is immersed in the light, she looks like a fragile porcelain doll.

The long silence made Mr. King frown, and his eyes were full of intolerance.

An Taotao swallowed, pretended to be calm, and said in a sweet voice, "It is said that Mr. King is determined, and these two are still breathing. Why didn't Mr. King kill them altogether?"

Mr. King's hands played with the gun, and he looked at An Taotao unexpectedly.

The two dying women didn't expect her to say that, and immediately changed their expressions.

She said and reached out her hand to pull An Taotao.

An Taotao was just clinging to her mind. She had to let her pull.

Mr. King's thin lips brightened.

The muzzle of the bodyguard behind him immediately turned to the two women on the ground.

With two loud gunshots, the two women suddenly fell into a pool of blood.

An Taotao stared wide-eyed, quietly opened her mouth a few times, but still pretended to be calm and standing straight.

No one knows that her wedding dress was already soaked with cold sweat.

Seeing her stance, Mr. King pursed his lips and pointed his gun at An Taotao. "Aren't you afraid?"

"I fear ..."An Taotao's lips trembled. Mr. King stood up, a head taller than An Taotao. "Why didn’t your legs became soft?"

In the past, when women saw him killing people, they would have scraped their legs and screamed, making a lot of noise and getting him bored. But this woman is different. She raised her head and blinked her big eyes. She was startled, but she was still smiling and looked very calm.

"When I was in the village, there was a vicious dog in my neighbor's house. It was very fierce and frightening. I ran as soon as I saw it. The faster I ran, the grimmer it became."

"But then I suddenly realized that, if I stopped running and picked up a stone then smashed it, it would be scared away. From that day on, I knew that some things can't be solved by fear. " An Taotao clenched her palm and pressed her fingertips into her flesh, but she felt no pain. "So Mr. King, do you know what I mean?" She asked.

"So presumptuous, you are calling Mr. King a dog!" yelled Huang Chen at her. “This little girl is simply insolent!”, he added.

An Taotao's heart was startled, but her smile didn't fade. She looked closely at Mr. King. His eyes are dangerous and cruel, which gave people a sense of oppression and suffocation. She pursed her red lips. "No, I'm just talking about things, Mr. King is so wise that he won't mind as I am a little girl."

"I think you're tired of living. Mr. King, throw her straight into the snake's den." Huang Chen scolded, but was stopped by Mr. King. He blinked at the seemingly weak woman. ‘She’s quite interesting!’ Mr. King thought inwardly. An Taotao felt worried. His silence made her wonder if she had said something wrong earlier. At this point, the entire hall was silent. Silence that made her even more uneasy.

‘Did she just say something wrong? Is the legendary snake cave waiting for her?’ Huang Chen thought as he stared at her with a look as if he was waiting for the drama. It was the first time he saw a woman who dared to call Mr. King a dog. Although Mr. King refused to speak, he believed that the snake den in the backyard was waiting for this woman.

"Maid Chen Ma, take her to the room on the second floor." Finally, Mr. King spoke. Huang Chen was shocked. Had he heard it correctly? Mr. King didn't throw this woman into the snake den.

"Miss An, please come with me.” Maid Chen came forward and beckoned. She has a serious face and was just as cold as Mr. King.

An Taotao didn't want to stay in the living room for a second longer, so she walked to the stairs behind Maid Chen Ma. On the way, she pretended to be quiet and looked around quietly . She found cameras everywhere. Those cameras stared at her like a pair of cold eyes, leaving her no chance to escape.

When she entered the room, An Taotao immediately closed the door and looked around to make sure there was no camera before she leaned against the back of the door.

Her hands were already sweaty, and her body was cold. No wonder the An family didn't hesitate to lie and cajole then brought back their illegitimate daughter who was left in the countryside. ‘And Mr. King is the devil in hell!’ An Taotao hated herself, she hated her simplicity and believed An family's words so easily. ‘Just you wait An Family!, I'll have my revenge one day!’ An Taotao viciously thought. Now, she had to find a way to get out of here.
