"I remember Uncle used to look at you like this." He raised his head to show her his slowly blinking eyes.

Vivian smiled and covered the boy with a blanket. "Okay, kiddo. Go to sleep. It's late."

"Do you like my uncle?" Juke asked after resting his head on her arm.

"What do you think?" Vivian patted Juke's back.

“I think you like him too because I know my uncle likes you,” Juke said confidently.

"Okay, go to sleep." Vivian prodded, dismissing her previous feelings.

Juke persevered. "You have to believe me. I know my uncle likes you more than the money he likes to spend. He's sad because of you and happy because of you. I know, otherwise, I'm not your nephew Auntie, you have to believe me. So, don't go anymore otherwise, my uncle will never come back if he leaves me and my grandmother again. Can you promise me?
