"It's been a while since we had breakfast together," Jerry commented.

They sat at the table with two trays filled with muffins, bread, and two cups of iced coffee.

"That's right." She agreed.

"It seems like I hang out with you more than Hodja." Jerry smiled gently.

"It seems like he's an outcast now." Vivian joked and then asked thoughtfully. "What do you do at noon?"

"I have to go see a client," he explained. "How about you?"

Vivian shrugged. "I wondered if we could have lunch together. Or I could help you with something."

He frowned at her. "Aren't you still busy entering data into the system?"

Vivian gently bit her tongue. "It'll be okay to take a day off."

"Jaime will leave you alone?"

"Ignore him," Vivian said.

Jerry looked at her blankly and then laughed. "You don't care, do you?"

"I don't care," Vivian said that she felt that Jerry was deliberately bringing up Jaime to make her realize that she sincerely cared about him.
