Brad and Alyson heard the voice of Kyla and they quickly ran in the direction of the voice. "Brad!" He called him. Brad lifted his eyes and saw Cage. He let go of Alyson's hand. "When did you get here?" He asked. "I should be asking you that. What the hell are you doing?" Cage whispered. Brad glanced and noticed a lot of people were interested in their conversation. "Come with me," he murmured before walking into the woods. Cage followed him. Alyson wasn't able to say a word to him.She became scared they were going to argue about her and thought about following them. I have seen this numerous times. At least before you accept any challenge, think about His Majesty first." "What would they think or how would they feel about it? I'm sure they would never accept it. Lara woke up but couldn't move from the bed. It seems her body was protesting after all the activities she did yesterday. She had never done something so stressful. She had done a lot of things in the palace ever since she came. Had a lot of firsts too. It made her happy. It felt like she was finally living a fulfilled life. Trying to turn her body, she pulled herself up but her body was so weak, she fell back again. This won't work, she told herself. She had a lot to do today. It wasn't the time to break down. But she couldn't tell her body what to do. She tried to shift into her wolf form. After some trials, she shifted and got down from the bed. Her wolf stretched its body. Every part of her body felt sore. Lara knew if she forced her body any longer, she might end up with more damage. She climbed the bed, shifted back to her human form, and slept off. Cage was too stunned to speak. They waited for her and she had to make a grand entrance while he was about to give his speech. She didn't even look apologetic. It felt like she planned it cause her entrance surely got people talking and wondering who she was. He glanced at her for a bit and she gave him a sly smirk. Oh, she knew alright. He turned back to the crowd. "Tonight marks the night we give thanks to the Moon Goddess, who has blessed us with wisdom and earthly things. We will sacrifice the bear that was caught yesterday and then we will feast!" "This year has been good to us. We are too important to be taken for granted. Due to our knowledge, we excel where ever we go. We are respected and feared. As the Moon Goddess's favorite, we should also honor her," Cage continued. As Cassandra opened her mouth to speak, Ted interrupted her. "Would you like to dance with me?" He asked. She glanced at his face in shock. He brought out his hand and she took it. "I'll see you later, Lara," she said as he pulled her to the dance floor. Lara waved her friend off. Cassandra looked so happy Ted asked her for a dance. Lara wasn't expecting him to become bold with his intentions. Cassandra had told her, she had to pursue him every day even though they were mates. Ted never wanted a mate. He didn't want her and he was vocal about it. Guess her persistence had paid off because he looked ready to do anything for her just by the way he stared into her eyes. He was a man in love. Lara smiled. She was happy for Cassandra. "Tsk, tsk, tsk," Fayn mocked as she sat beside Lara. Lara tensed up. "You look really beautiful, whore. You don't mind if I damage your gown later on, do you?" She asked, smiling. Lara glanced at her without responding. Fayn would definitely get angry
