Chapter 2

I woke up in an unfamiliar place; everywhere was painted white, and it smelled of antiseptic. I could see different beds and it looked like I was in a hospital.

I looked around me, not knowing where I was, and then I remembered the stranger who had helped me yesterday. Who was he and why did he help me? I thought to myself.

Suddenly, I heard the door open and a woman walked in; she was dressed in a white uniform, just like a doctor. She came over to me and put her hands on my head and noticed I was awake.

"How are you feeling now?" the doctor asked. "I'm feeling better, ma'am, just a slight headache," I replied.

"Don't worry, it will relieve you; you just need to take a rest," she said.

"Alright, thank you, doctor. Please, where am I? I don't know where this place is," I asked.

"You are at the Silver Pack; the Beta brought you here yesterday," she answered.

So the stranger that had helped me yesterday was Silver Pack's Beta and he had brought me to the pack hospital. I was blushing; my cheeks were burning hot when I remembered how handsome he was.

I snapped out of my silly thoughts when I remembered I was in no position to start admiring someone.

After some time, the Beta and someone else came to the hospital; their aura screamed power.

I was intimidated by their aura when they entered the room and the doctor bowed and greeted them.

"Alpha, Beta, you are welcome," she said.

The Beta moved closer to me and asked how I was feeling and if I could talk and I nodded my head.

The other guy, who was the Alpha, was looking at me; he kept staring at me with admiration in his eyes.

Finally, he spoke, "I am Sebastian, the Alpha of Silver Pack, and he pointed to his Beta and said this is Noah, the Beta of Silver Pack".

And I want to ask you a few questions. "What were you doing in my pack's border and why were you attacked by rogues," he asked.

I left my pack yesterday and I did not know I was at your pack's border when I decided to take a rest. And I was resting when the rogues came to attack me.

He was looking at me like he was not convinced by what I said and he asked why I left my pack.

I told them I left my pack because my mate rejected me and he is the son of my Alpha so I can't bear to stay in a pack with him.

As I said my mate rejected me, and I saw his eyes change from black to blue before it returned to normal.

They both looked at me, and the Alpha said if I don't have a place to stay I can stay in their pack.

Two weeks later, I woke up feeling sick; my body was hot and I was weak. I had been in the Silver's pack for two weeks, and the pack members were no different from where I had come from.

I was always assigned to do menial jobs and was called names like "weak, wolfless," but unlike my previous pack, I had made a friend. Since that day at the hospital, I had not seen the Alpha nor the Beta.

Today was the day; the pack would announce the Alpha's chosen mate and their soon-to-be Luna of the pack.

We were all waiting in the hall, waiting for the announcement to be made, and my friend Helen said they all knew who the chosen mate was and they were just waiting for the official announcement.

One of the elders at the podium started talking, "As you all know, the rule in our pack, and our Alpha has been looking for a mate for the past eight years with nothing to show for it.

And as you know, if the Alpha is 26 years old with no mate, a mate would be given to him by the elders of the pack, and that is what we are doing today.

So, I am pleased to announce to you all your future Luna and mother of the pack. I want you to welcome Evelyn Richard, as your future Luna."

And the whole crowd started hailing and shouting her name.

Evelyn stood up; she was looking gorgeous with her white gown and a bright smile on her face. She looked like she was made to be a queen. I was admiring her beauty because she looked astonishing.

And the elders told the Alpha to stand beside her; he came up to the podium.

He looked handsome with the blue suit he wore, his eyes and black hair complimented his look. But I could see he was not happy because his smile was looking forced.

He kept looking around like he was looking for someone, and then his eyes landed on me and a smile erupted on his face.

He kept staring at me with admiration in his eyes, and he was looking at me like he had found his past love.

Or was I overthinking it, because I could have sworn I saw happiness in his eyes when he looked at me?

Suddenly, my head started to hurt badly, my body became weak and I heard a soft voice in my head.

Hello, Violet, it is me, Snow, and I am your wolf," she said.

"Snow, my wolf," I said too slowly.

I could not hear what was going on in the hall again and I knew I was about to shift so I ran out of the hall with the little strength that remained in me.

I ran to a nearby bush and pulled out my dress to prevent it from tearing and I put both hands on the floor.

I started hearing the sounds of my bones cracking, my fingernails turned to claws, and my hands and legs became more hairy.

Then I transformed into a huge, magnificent white wolf; I was surprised by what I had turned into.

White wolves are considered rare and powerful in our community.

I allowed my wolf to walk a little bit to get familiar with her surroundings. Suddenly, she became hyper and started to run.

She kept running until she saw a big, majestic black wolf then she stopped.

And said "mate".

The black wolf also replied "Mate".
