Chapter 100 - The Battle Ends

Jessi's P.O.V.

My tears start falling as grief takes over. I look at the spot where Davina was lying, and there's nothing left of her. My fairy can't be dead. My grief is replaced with rage, and all I see is red. We have to kill that bitch. Davina will not die in vain. Just as I stand up and prepare to wipe that smirk off Cressida's face, I hear something through mindlink that makes me freeze.

"Trick, trick, trick a witch and watch her die. Trick, trick, trick a witch, and watch her die." What the hell? Am I making up songs now in Davina's voice? "Don't cry for me, warrior Jessi; I'm still here. I just had to trick the witch so I could help you take her by surprise."

I want to weep with joy and yell at the fairy at the same time. I understand having to trick Cressida, but why me? Does she know how gutted I was thinking she was dead? I look at Jock and see him smirking. That jerk knew what she was doing.
