I leaned against one of the tables at the corner of the room with champagne in one hand and a cookie in the other.

My heart was a wild stallion galloping in my chest, a result of Fred’s death-defying activity. ‘Who in their right mind enjoys a thrill like that?’

If only Tara hadn’t come to my room and told me I needed to stay at this party, I would still be there trying to calm down and relax. But no, so here I was, enduring this boring party where I could understand nothing!
