"Your mother isn't actually thinking she can eliminate Nathan and Daniella, right?" Alex's concern echoed through the study room as he watched my mother disappear into Nathan and Daniella's room. The absence of CCTV left us blind to her actions within. His voice, tinged with anxiety, broke the silence.

I felt a knot of worry tighten in my stomach. "Why?" I managed to ask.

He glanced at me, his eyes reflecting the gravity of the situation. "Today marks two months, since the Moon Goddess's battle began. There's no way they haven't prepared for an assassination attempt," he explained, his voice low.

I swallowed hard, a sense of dread washing over me. "For real? What's going to happen to my mom?"

Alex let out a heavy sigh, the weight of his thoughts apparent. "In my opinion, she may fail to kill Nathan and Daniella. But with Linda here, she might escape unscathed or maybe some miracle could happen, still she will survive."
