Chapter 3

. "Hi," Funmilola says,

"Hi," Damilola says, "how are you?" he asked,

"am fine" she replied, "and how did you know my house?" she asked,

"this house is not new to me, I passed here almost every day, and I used to see you coming from work" Damilola explained,

"I see, and why are you here?" Funmilola asked,

"Nothing special, just to thank you for the assistance you rendered in the morning," he says,

"you are welcome," Funmilola says, "am busy inside doing something," she said, can you excuse me?" Funmiola asked,

"yes, it's possible, but can I ask for something?" Damilola asked,

" Hope It Is not something difficult?" she asked,

" No" he retorted,

"Okay, am listening," she said,

"can we be friends?" Damilola asked, and he smiles

"There is nothing bad in making friends, but I used to be afraid of making friends with males because of rumors spread" she explained,

"I didn't see any big deal in making friends, as long as you understand yourselves," Damilola said, "even the rumors that can be spread will not be more than, we are dating, and am up to the task," he says,

"Okay, we can be friends," she says,

" thank you," Damilola says, and they shake hands, and he steps out of the compound, while Funmiola returns into her room, and Damilola steps out of the compound, and he entered Into his car and he drove home,

Damilola was happy to make a move of clearing the cloudy air about his crushing on Funmilola, he was rested assured that he could take the crush on to the another level,

He was happy to get closer to Funmilola, and he believed that his family will come here,

On a cool evening, Damilola went to visit Funmilola, and the two sat under the tree in their compound, and she ordered natural fruits and wine that her father brought from his farm, she called her sister," please, bring two glass cups filled with natural fruits wine" Funmilola says,

"I will be right back," her sister says, and she went inside the house to bring the two glass cups filled with wine, and she offered one glass cup to Damilola and the other to her sister, and she returned inside the house while Funmilola and Damilola was outside gisting and he sips the wine," waoh, this is an original natural wine," Damilola said," hope it will not intoxicate me?" he inquired,

It might If you take much of it" Funmilola retorted,

They were still sitting under the tree when the chief came back from the meeting, and he was being nice to Damilola, and he gifted him a bottle of expensive natural wine to take home,

A few hours later, "I have to be on my way" Damilola said,

"so soon," she said,

"Anyway, I will come back later," he said, "do you have a program for tomorrow evening?" he asked,

"I don't normally go out in the evening but, it might be possible after working hours" Funmilola replied,

"Can we chill out and vibes together tomorrow?" he asked,

"Let's wait and see what tomorrow has for us" she retorted,

"Okay, keep It in mind that we are having a date," Damilola says,

"I will, but am not too sure about it," she said,

"Why," he asked,

"my job comes first" she retorted,

"Okay, I will be looking forward to our outing tomorrow," he said, and he stood up and Funmilola walked her down to where he parked his car, and he drove home,

Arriving home, he was very happy, singing, dancing, smiling, and he sat in the living room, he turned on the television while his mom was watching him, "tell me the secret behind this smiling and happiness" his mom inquired,

"Mom, I have finally got to my destination, the emotions and feelings are mingling and I will soon bring out real love," he said, and he smiles,

I don't get your parables" his mom says,

" I was at Funmilola's house today, and I was welcomed to her house like a king," he said,

" Have you shoot your shot?" his mom asked,

"I haven't but I don't want to rush things," he said,

It will be better, If you rush things" his mom said,

"anyway we are having a date tomorrow," Damilola said,

"Alright, I will be waiting for the outcome," she said, and she annoyingly stood up and left the living room,

The following day, in the morning, his father purposely sent him to the ruling party chairman, and arriving there, he saw his three beautiful daughters at home, but arrogant, he glanced at them, delivered the messages, and left the house,

"did you see your fiancee?" his father asked,

"I didn't notice anyone in that house except the chairman" Damilola retorted,

"but he told me that you met three of his daughters at home," his dad said,

"How do you want me to see the people that I was greeting and they refused to answer me" Damilola replied,

"they might be upset," his father says,

"It's left for them, I don't have problems with anyone," Damilola said, and he entered Into his room,

He went to meet him and says, "since you have someone in your heart, no problems, you can invite her home," his father says,

"Are you for real father?" Damilola asked,

"Yes am serious, bring her home let's meet her," his father said, and his mom supported the plan,

In the evening he drove to the palace and waited in the neighborhood, and a few minutes later he saw a car coming, and she was inside the car coming from with the queen of the city, and he still waited for about an hour be she came out, and she saw Damilola's car where he parked waiting for her, and she walked to meet him, she entered inside the car, "babe, hi" Damilola said,

"am cool" Funmilola retorted, "and how long have you been waiting?" she asked,

"Almost two hours" he retorted,

"am sorry to have delayed you," she said,

"It's nothing," he said, but, I have something to discuss with you," he said,

" go ahead, am listening," she said,

"Okay, Funmilola, am in love with you, I love you, and I am ready to take our relationship to next level," he says,

" hmmm, I will think about it," she said can we go now," she asked,

"Sure, we can" he retorted, and he drives slowly until they arrive at a cool place where they eat and drink, and he took her home,

In the night, he couldn't stop thinking about Funmilola, he was rolling on his bed until daybreak when his mom came knocking on his door, and he opened the door for his mom and he greeted his mom, good morning mom" he said,

" how are you and how was your night?" his mom asked,

" when are you bringing her home?" his mom asked,

"soon mom" he says,

" Okay, am waiting, we don't have much time left," his mom says,

"Alright, which day are you bringing her home?" his mom asked,

"I will need to seek her consent" he replied,

" Okay, make it happen this weekend," his mom says,

" I will try my best" he replied, and his mom steps out of his room, while he sat on his bed thinking of how to invite her to the house,

After the sunset, he baths and dressed up, took his breakfast and he steps out to his friend's office," good day" Damilola said and he smiles,

" Welcome, how are you?" Tobiloba asked,

"am good, fine, happy," Damilola says,

"I can see that you are happy, what is the secret behind it?" his friend asked,

" I have shoot my shot yesterday," he said,

" how far," his friend asked,

" are both of you cool?" his friend asked,

" yes, we are cool, we had a date out there yesterday, and she was happy to be with me" Damilola explained,

Has she caught feelings?" his friend asked,

"I believe there are feelings and emotions" he retorted,

"Okay, let's hope for the best," his friend said,

"How is your babe," he asked,

"she will soon be here" his friend replied,

"When are you starting your office," he asked because since you have come back from abroad, you haven't started working," he said,

My father gave me conditions, and am working hard to meet up with the conditions" Damilola said,

"Anyway, I have some good boys that can work for you," his friend said.
