ISABELLA’S POV

The morning was fresh, and Michael and I were walking side by side along the beach.

The vacation house was only a few steps behind us.

It was close enough to show faint outlines of the porch lights that still glimmered.

It felt like the whole world was slowly waking up, just for us.

"How has this week flown by so quickly?"

I mused, glancing over at him with a soft smile.

Michael chuckled, looking so relaxed in a way I had gotten used to since we came.

After then, he nudged my shoulder quietly.

We strolled, listening to the waves break gently against the shore, sharing quiet thoughts and little jokes as the sun lifted higher, its light glinting off the water and casting a golden glow on everything around us.

Nearly an hour drifted by before we finally decided to return.
