Jasmine POV

"No, don't do that. Please come down Emil. Yes, Mommy loves you," I scrambled around trying to get Emil to wear his uniform. The kid was just too energetic for me this morning.

Arianna had left early to prepare for my next appointment. It was a CD signing for my fans today. She wanted to make sure that everything was under control and ready before the time.

And that was why I was having this baby problem. Usually, Arianna helped me dress them up for school while I got ready for work. Not that I don't dress the kids but it was easy when Arianna was around.

"Emil come wear your shoes please. Mommy is running late. Emilia please get your brother's backpack," I took Emil's shoe from the rack chasing him as he giggled like a free born.

"I don't think Emil wants to go to school neither do I. That school is full of dumb kids. My brain and personality is too high for those bunch of hooligans. Do you know how annoyed I was to hear the teacher repeat the English alphabet over and ov

You would think Jasmine would be more mature, vigilant, resourceful, and disciplined after past life experiences and having kids. It's frustrating that she continues to act helpless and she can't discipline her kids. The synopsis made it seem like she'll return as a strong FL which isn't the case.

Jasmine POVIt was finally Saturday, a day that was free for me. I can decide whether to relax at home or at the spa but today, we were going to the mall."Okay, I'm ready to go,"I hung my Valentino Mini purse on my shoulder. I dressed casually today because I was going out in public. But my casual outfit was a Dior collection. Starting from the brown knee length boots to the leather skirt and crop cat top. I looked more like a girl in her teens than a twenty five years old woman with kids. But that didn't matter because it made me feel young and feminine."Mommy is going to the mall? Can we come too?," Emil asked and Arianna answered "No, I and mommy are the only ones going today. You both will spend time with aunty Julie. So be nice when she comes okay. Kisses," "Okay, but we wouldn't make a promise of not being naughty," Emil giggled."Just don't tear the house apart," I kissed him before we left."No promises," he yelled as I closed the door behind me."That kid is really a nut.

Janet POVI got up from my bed and rushed to find Asphalt after I saw the message on my phone. It was my birthday and he didn't cancel it after what I had done last time. He was really mad and I thought that he would call off my birthday party."Thank you honey," I ran into his study room pecking him on his cheeks. He was currently busy with his work, something I had come to hate.He prioritized work over everything else including me."Thank you so much for not canceling my birthday party. I thought I wouldn't have any this year after making you angry the other day. Thank you so much," I peppered his face with kisses but he gently pushed me away, wiping his face off.I felt insulted by his action but there was no way I was going to complain about it. I was under his mercy, one wrong word and all my credit cards would be canceled."You should thank the Adams daughter. Assuming she canceled our business proposal, I won't have considered celebrating your birthday. You should learn to be

Jasmine POVIt was 7 pm in the evening, and I had already put my babies to sleep when Arianna came back for the day."Welcome Riri, how was the negotiation?," I helped her out of her coat, deciding whether or not to take it to her room."It was successful. So you will be having a thorough experience next week. I hope you are ready for it," she slipped into the couch, kicking off her shoes in the process."That's great to hear, have you eaten dinner?," I questioned her, taking away her shoes she had tirelessly littered on the floor."Yeah, I had it with juile. Ah, I almost forgot. We are going out tonight. We got an invitation to an event," she abruptly got up all tiredness leaving her body like it never existed."Really, I don't have the urge to dress up plus it's already late. I don't want to go out today. Please let me skip this one. I just want to have a nice bath and sleep peacefully tonight," I fluttered my eyelashes at her doing the puppy eye thing but she was immune to my cuten

Jasmine POVI came down from my black van on arriving at the set I was to have a photo shoot. Arianna had not accompanied me this time since she had an important matter to handle.I strode into the company, receiving greetings as I walked past Asphalt's employees. Today, Julie was to accompany me since she was my junior agent. Arianna had handed this over to her for today's shoot. On entering the photo room, Asphalt welcomes me with a hug. His hands gently ran down my back in a friendly gesture. I patted him back to return his embrace. It was funny how I acted immune to his touch. If it were before, I would have melted in his arms. "How was your night?," He asked as we broke our embrace."It was nice and yours?," I cheerfully asked."I had a great night thank you," he replied, sounding so tender unlike the Asphalt I knew in the past who was always hostile to anyone who came close to him. I guess Janet really changed him.My mood wasn't really elated today since Arianna was not accom

Jasmine POVI slowly got my consciousness back blinking my eyes to recognize where I was. "Mommy is waking up", I could hear the chirping sound of my babies. The smell of strong iodine and septic disinfectant filled my nostrils giving me the clue that I was in the hospital."I will go inform the nurse," Arianna left the room as I held my bandage head that still hurt. After a few minutes, my head readjusted and I finally registered the person sitting beside my bed. It was Asphalt. He looked stressed like he had missed his sleep for a year."Mommy, you are finally awake,""What took you so long to wake up," Emilia and Emil chorused in my face and I couldn't resist laughing. I brought their faces close, kissing their cheeks with my dried pale lips."What happened?," I directed to Asphalt holding my kids like my life depended on them. The hospital bed wasn't so big and they could fall if they were not careful enough."The flashlight at the studio had a fault and fell on you. You were imme

Janet POVAsphalt and I sat in the garden watching my kids chase after butterflies. As described, the garden was quiet and fascinating and peaceful. The flowers were arranged in a cubic form that gave a uniform look to it.I was enjoying the gentle breeze that caressed my face until Asphalt called my name," Jasmine," I paused looking forward to see if he was referring to the bluish flower in front of us."I know that you are Jasmine, Jazz, why did you lie to me all this while," he said looking at me."What do you mean?I'm not Jasmine. I don't know who you are referring to," I denied wanting to keep my identity secret.Right now, I was feeling a bit tense and uncomfortable. Asphalt knew who I was along but if I played a fool he might reconsider, right?."There is no use lying to me Jasmine," his tone changed to stern as he showed me an envelope. I took it from his hand and read its contents. It was a DNA test he had run on my kids. "You ran a DNA test on my kids?. You have no right to

Jazz povIt was finally Saturday the day I was designed to be discharged from the hospital. Even after our argument, Asphalt still remained by my side and that pissed me off. Now he was attempting to help me with my things but no matter how many times I pushed him away he would just sigh and do what he wanted."I will take you home Jazz since Arianna isn't around," he mentioned flinging my mini cloth bag over his shoulder."I don't need your help. I can flag a taxi down to take me home. So mind your business and stay away from me.I knew he was trying to take me home as an opportunity to start another intense argument about my babies. "I don't want you taking me home Mr Lavine," I told him but he gleaned, insisting I had no choice but to agree to his demand. He was still as domineering as ever.In the end, I sat in the passenger seat of his car frowning in my face in annoyance. The only reason I was facing this trash was because I don't have a driving license. And Arianna wasn't arou

Janet POVI downed my third glass of wine brooding with anger because of Asphalt's recent behaviors. He had spent a whole week away from us because of that damn Jazz."This is so annoying I wish I could crush that wench," I almost slammed my glass cup on the floor but Camila was fast enough to retrieve it from me."You should be careful Janet, you might get hurt if you get too irrational," Camila said, dropping the glass cup on the wine table in her garden.I decided to stay with my friends since Asphalt never came home. He was seriously freaking me out and making me really hate Jazz."I'm sure they are already fucking each other already. A woman like her would like to get her hands on diamonds. And Asphalt is a precious diamond that is pretty rare," Sarah blurted out the ugly truth.I caused the accident yet I was the one who got abandoned by my husband. He should look at only me and no one else!."I swear I will crush that woman she can't take wants mine and go scot free. It's about

Asphalt pov"Oh, you are the Asphalt she always talked about. I am glad that you finally came to your Senses but it took too long. My sweet pearl always told me about you regardless of the way you treated her. She truly loved you to the extent that it hurt me to see her suffer because of you. I won't blame you for anything because I, myself, wronged her. Please, I will leave my child in your hands because she believes in you. I know that it will be hard for you to forgive yourself for what you did but Jasmine is not the kind to bear grudges. If she loves you then you have to stop dwelling on your regrets. That way you and her can live peacefully. And grandfather, I want to thank you for holding on to my daughter. I wish I could stay longer but I have to make up for the things I missed in my daughter's life. Please do take care of her. Janet's POV"I am sorry for everything I said and did to you. Please don't go," she remained cooled with a little life in her as I could feel the beat of her heart as I hugged her tight. She had saved in the cruelest manner and it was all my fault for not listening to her when necessary.By the time we arrived at the hospital, I had contacted some doctors that I knew who attended her immediately."Please hold Jasmine," I said as she was rolled into the emergency unit. Her breath was now slow yet she reached out her hand to hold my face."I am sorry that I had to do this to you but I just want you to know that I have always loved you," she managed to say and my world paused. I fell to the ground as the medical team continued their journey into the ward. I had stupidly neglected her all this while when she was the only one that truly loved me. Mrs Margaret was right this whole time and now that she was at the brick of death was the only time I realized my foolishness. All this time my

I scoffed from the pain I felt and wished she had just agreed to love me. But that would be hard for her. I didn't want to put any pressure on her and somehow it was my fault for pursuing her even when I knew her heart was with another man."I must have been delusional to think that we would wake up if I kept trying. I thought that with time you would come to love me but that was a lie to myself," I muttered stating the ugly truth. I could see the guilt and concern she had for me on her face and I felt sorry that I had been a burden to her.The tears that brimmed in my eyes went back on its own because it would be so cruel of me to cry In Front of her.I was deeply in love with her but my love was unrequited. "I know you are still in love with Asphalt and I am sorry for making it difficult for you to decide. But I want you to know that I will support you till the very end. That way, I can just be myself for loving you," I told her and she broke down in tears."I am so sorry that I coul

Arianna's pov "I am horny right now and I want you to fuck me over the kitchen counter," I whispered to his ear and he lost his control. Turning off the stove, he bent me the kitchen counter and fucked me from behind. We had a quickie and got down to eat the food he prepared. "I will be going now to avoid any suspicion. You can go to my parents house if you need anything. I will be preoccupied from now on in order to get Asphalt out of our hair. Remember no calling or texting," I pecked him on his lips and left his place.By the time I got back to Asphalt's mansion, it was six in the evening and he was already home. As always he was stuck in his study."Honey, I am home," I said with disgust in my voice as I flashed him a fake smile."How was your time with your parents?" He asked and I smiled, not interested in talking to him."I will be in the room. I need to have a warm bath," I told him and walked away with a knowing smile on my face.Jazz POVThe evening breeze greased my cheek

Arianna's pov"Thank you so much for giving me the chance to meet you. I really do appreciate the fact that you made out time to see me. I know that you people have been annoyed with my young master but he really isn't who you guys think he is. I can vouch that he is an excellent child who has locked himself inside his own shell. And I am afraid that Janet has taken advantage of his weakness," she said as she sat down opposite us."We will do anything to entertain you Mrs. Margaret. Jasmine told me about you and the way you were kind to her while she was still living with you and your young master. Please tell me whatever it is that troubles you," I assured her."Things have been going on lately. I have tried to keep up the pace of everything but the more I try, the more Janet gets ahead of me. I have been trying to reach Jasmine for a long time now but I think she blocked everyone's number in the household. I won't blame her for it but she needs to know about Janet's activities. My yo

Arianna POV"This looks nice. Is this for me?" I asked as I hugged Jeremy from behind. We were currently in his boutique and the dresses he had designed were so eye-catching. "Nope, if you want a dress I will design one for you. Just tell me what you want and I will have it designed immediately," he pecked my left cheek and I blushed like a sixteen year old girl."You will have to do all the designing by yourself. I don't have a particular style to suggest but I am sure you will be able to design a dress that will suit me perfectly. For now, I want to admire every dress here," I playfully said with a smile. He nodded and let me wander around like a kid while he kept his eyes on all the time. "Wow, how did you do this?" I pointed at a dress that had a thousand tiny crystal diamonds on it. "That dress was customized for a friend but she failed to meet my expectations. I didn't give it to her and decided to keep it," he said."Do you intend to sell it?," I asked him, keeping the dress

Janet POVI and Joe arrived at my parents house to deliver the good news. While I was on a vacation with Asphalt, all his assets were signed over to me. The thought of it was so joyous. He had handed his property over out of pity. To me Asphalt was a goner and I could kill him off now that I have acquired all his assets."Mommy, daddy, I have good news," I hugged them as I ran out of the car that I and Joe had come in."What good news my dear? You are looking so pretty this morning. Did the sun shimmer it's rays and you?" My mom praised me without knowing the source of my happiness."Something more than the sun happened to me. As you know I just got back from my vacation with Asphalt. Guess what?" I wanted to add a little suspense to make me curious. "C'mon my darling you know that we are too old to start playing that guessing game," my mom pouted like a kid and I laughed agreeing to tell her Immediately."Mom, Dad, I finally have Asphalt's properties in my name!" I jubilated and she

Asphalt POVI packed the last things we needed for the vacation we were embarking on. Janet's health still bothered me a lot. She was showing any sign of weakness or fever.According to the doctor, Jazz's condition worsened due to the shock she got after her fall. He centered mostly on her slight chance of conceiving a child again. And if she did it would be a fifty-fifty chance of her and the child surviving. In order to keep her from falling into depression, I did whatever she wanted. She was bright these days and I was glad that she was trying all she could to stay happy and healthy."I think everything is ready. We can leave now honey," she said after putting her last luggage in the trunk of the car."Alright, let us hit the road. I don't want us arriving late at the airport today," I muttered, taking caution of my safety. I could still remember the thugs that had attacked me the last time I got back late from work. The attack was something that I sensed was planned because the t

Janet POV"I will be off to work, if you need anything just call me and I will answer immediately," Asphalt patted my head before he left my room.He had barely escaped death and he still had the courage to go to work. My fear must have been ineffective on him. I watched from my window as He drove out of the compound and smiled pleasantly. Today, I and Joe planned to meet up. I went into my closet and changed into something sexy enough to get his attention. On getting to the front door, Margaret decided to be a thorn on my skin. "You are supposed to be resting. Your husband will not be glad to find out that you left the house in your condition. He strictly warned me to have a good rest before he gets back," she said with a straight face that got on my nerves."I just want to meet up with my friends. It would be nice if I got some fresh air. I am tired of being cooped up in my room everyday. I am sure Asphalt will not mind me stepping out for a moment," I I flashed her a fake smile.
