As the morning arrived, the group finally woke up. The sunlight isn't there anymore since the fog is too thick in the sky. Even though it can't reach any of the buildings yet, they don't know what will happen.

Not long after they woke up, they started to gather everything they needed and their things to prepare their breakfast and leave. The air was still quiet, and it was giving them a bit of a scare. After everything that happened, they were filled with a sense of determination. They were busy preparing for their breakfast and departure when their calmness was shattered by an unexpected sound emanating from a nearby room.

It was loud.

Everyone was startled. They exchanged glances, but they knew where it came from. Because of the things that happened right now, they couldn't take away their alertness, and since they heard a movement from where they put those people, they moved and went there. With cautious steps, they approached the room from which the sound originated.

The weight of Hannah's words lingered in the air, and for a moment, silence enveloped the truck. Lacy and Harol exchanged glances, a mix of uncertainty and gratitude in their eyes. Of course, even though they had the thought of staying with their savior, they couldn't make it out of their mouth. After all, they already saved them, and they have no further responsibility towards them. The only thing they should do is send them to a safe place.Harol broke the silence, his voice steady but filled with a hint of anxiety. He couldn't help but to ask, "What if there's no safe zone left? What if it's just us out here?"Hannah, meeting his gaze, offered a reassuring smile. "Well, that is quite negative thoughts you have. Of course, there is a safe place. The military personnel make a barracks and a safe zone for those who survive." She stops for a moment and adds, "And if what you said is right, then we'll find a way. We've been through a lot, and together, we'll move whatever comes our way.

The group stood in awe, taking in the serene landscape. Brandon, ever the strategist, began to contemplate the potential advantages of having access to Liam's space dimension. As the possibilities unfolded before them, the open field in Liam's dimension became a canvas of untapped potential, ready to be explored in their quest for survival. The trio stepped into the bamboo house within Liam's serene space dimension. It doesn't look shabby from the outside, even though it was a bamboo house, but what is inside made them more in awe. It was like a place with minimalist and futuristic design. As they admired the simplicity and tranquility of the surroundings, Liam instinctively made his way to the kitchen area. His movements were fluid, a testament to his familiarity with this unique sanctuary.Brandon, appreciating the ambiance, took a seat in the common area, while Jarvis joined him. Both of their eyes never leave the whole place. They wanted to look around, but they wanted to do it wi

The light of the moon couldn't be used as a light anymore. It was because of the fog in the sky. As Brandon and Marcky went to the top of the bus, they were armed with binoculars that doubled as night vision. It was hard to see in the dark, and it was even harder since there's no moonlight to help them. The two surveyed the darkness surrounding them. They didn't feel good about this, but they had to. This kind of thing has never happened to them before. Even though they've been through a lot of dangerous missions, they haven't encountered this kind of thing. Also, in addition to the mindless zombies that are going to come to where they are, the forest also makes them feel eerie. They wanted to see what's in the forest, but they couldn't since there are a lot of trees that aren't able to mutate. However, it blocked their sight.Marcky adjusted the focus on his binoculars and peered into the night. He then pointed his binocular in the direction that Brandon told him. "Brandon, how did yo

Liam, gripping his baseball bat tightly, took a deep breath as he tried to calm himself. He shouldn't feel nervous right now; he should keep his calm to assure his and the others safety. The weight of the upcoming confrontation was settling on his shoulders. "We can handle this. Just stick to the plan, and we'll get through it," he said, nodding his head. He was so sure.As the first zombies came into view, the group tensed almost as soon as they saw them, the bus providing a protective barrier between them and the approaching threat. The eerie glow of their lifeless eyes reflected the moonlight, creating an unsettling spectacle. They still couldn't shake the eerie feeling, even though they saw them."Remember, stay calm, and follow the plan," Brandon repeated to them to calm the group down. "Hannah, get ready by the water. Marcky, be prepared to unleash your abilities; make sure to do it as strong as you can. Jarvis, keep your senses sharp and ready to tell everyone about the little c

Amidst the chaos, a handful of mindless zombies had managed to slip through the team's defenses. Of course, it was because the group with offensive ability focused on those mindless creatures with ability. Now, it is Liam's time. Liam, with a focused expression on his face, stepped forward to confront the remaining threats. His movements were a dance of precision, with each step purposeful and calculated. He has no fear in his face, but his heart is pounding so hard that he could hear it as he swung his baseball bat at the mindless creature's head.Seeing him act like this, Lacy and Harol couldn't help but shiver. In the group, Liam was the one who looked more gentle and kind. However, right now, they can't see the gentleness in Liam's gesture, and there's also no kindness in his eyes. It was as if he was too focused to kill these undead. This made the two fearful.Liam might not be able to use his ability, but the moment he swung his weapon, he was as scary as those who had an abilit

When they finally know that there's danger lurking in the forest, they immediately start their bus and camping truck and get as far as they can from that place. They don't want to be in that place anymore. After all, they don't know what was in that forest. The bus rolled to a stop in a relatively open area, away from the dense forest that had concealed the mutated threats. Even though it was an open area, for them, it was much safer than that place. That forest gave them chills all over their bodies. The night sky stretched above, a tapestry of stars twinkling overhead. With the engine silenced, an almost eerie quiet settled around them. They still couldn't get used to the eerie silence in the surrounding area.Jarvis, positioned by the window of the bus, scanned the surroundings one last time. "We're clear," he called out.Brandon nodded in acknowledgment. With the place getting a little safer, it was a welcome reassurance after the tense encounter with the mutated creatures in the

As the group's conversation continued and flowed, Brandon's attention turned to Lacy and Harol; their presence was a welcome addition to their tight-knit circle. He wanted to ask these two a question. They seem to be able to blend into their group. Even though the people in his group feel okay having them, they still have to know their plan. After all, each of them has a different plan."So, Lacy, Harol," Brandon began. His tone isn't too gentle, but there's a hint of being curious. "What are your thoughts on joining us for the journey ahead?" he asked, making the others look at him in disbelief.Of course, it was Hannah who knew him the best since they grew up together. Being together with Brandon is harder than being together with your toxic relatives. However, right now, for some reason, Hannah was shocked to hear those words from his own cousin brother.Lacy, her eyes alight with determination, met Brandon's gaze with unwavering resolve. When Brandon laid down next to Liam, he immediately hugged him. Liam looks okay, yes, but Brandon still sees that it's not really okay. Just as he expected, when he hugged him, he felt his shoulders go up. He's crying. The room was shrouded in silence, and the air was heavy with grief. Soft moonlight filtered through the broken window, casting a pale glow on the scene inside. This is the second time Brandon has seen Liam this broken. It hurts, but he can't do anything because he knows that the only thing Liam can do right now is cry. Liam kneeled beside the lifeless body of his sister, Jasmine, his fingers trembling as he gently brushed a strand of hair from her face. Seeing his sister's face for the first time after the end of the world is really heartbreaking. What he expected was that he would be able to hug her. Who would have thought that he would see a cold corpse? Her once-vibrant eyes were closed forever, her body still and cold. He could barely recognize her through the

Brandon, who was just listening, looked at Liam. Even she couldn't believe what her boyfriend said. That's because he knows how much Liam loves his siblings. "Let me explain," Liam said immediately. "Yes, you will only be a burden. First, we know that your ability is not offensive, Jarvis. Yes, you will help me and Brandon, big time, in the travel because you know where there are many and few mindless zombies, but what if we're fighting? We don't know if we can protect you and Brandon at the same time." This time, Liam turned his gaze to Nathalie. "And yes, your ability was offensive, but it's not enough for you to fight against many mindless zombies. You still need more experience." Everyone is silent; no one talks. They all listened to what Liam said, and it was all on point. Everything Liam said made Nathalie and Jarvis unable to say anything, even though they admitted it. "Fine!" Liam just sighed as he looked at Nathalie's back as she left the dining room. He knew that he co

Two years.Who would have thought that people would be able to survive the two years that are happening in the world today? Two years without proper sleep, two years without proper food and drink, two years full of dread and fear.Even though Liam had created a cure, it still wasn't able to save everyone. When they gave them to the mindless zombies from the beginning, it didn't work. Especially mindless zombies. They did not become humans again and return to normal, but only lost their ability to use abilities. According to Brittany and Sophia, who studied it, that is because their body has become immune to the virus and their body no longer agrees to remove the virus from their body, which is why the zombie virus gives the body something to sacrifice, just like the ability that disappears in mindless creatures that are injected with the cure. Many are disappointed, but they are still thankful that there is still a chance that they will not become mindless zombies in case they are inj

A few days ago, Luis and his caravan left. Concerned for their safety, they still had to leave to carry out the mission Brandon had given them.Liam sat quietly on the edge of the bed while his boyfriend Brandon lay down."Bran?"Brandon looked at Liam for a moment. "Hmm?" You could see the worry on Liam's face, and Brandon knew what it was for. Because of that, he sat down, and he yanked Liam a little. "So, what's your worry?" Brandon asked softly as they sat down and hugged Liam from behind."Do you think Luis will be okay?"Brandon placed his chin on Liam's right shoulder. "Don't worry about them." He gave Liam a kiss on the cheek. "You know that I wouldn't give them a job like that if I knew they couldn't do it. Also, you also know that there is an ability user among them, right?"Liam held Brandon's knee, which was bent at his side. "I know that, and I have faith in your foresights. I just can't help but worry."Brandon laughed softly. "You still haven't changed, Liam." Brandon's

When the night fell, Luis got up from his bed. He has to act because otherwise, this mission cannot be called successful. The last thing they need to do is find someone to be their witness.Brandon told him that this would be the key to spreading even more rumors about the cure.Underneath the blanket of darkness, with only the moon and stars to bear witness, the three guards exchanged knowing glances as their leader approached them with a sense of purpose in his stride.Luis told them earlier, but Luis still went to them to tell them again."Alright, listen up," their boss said in a hushed tone, his voice carrying a hint of urgency and worry. Even if he doesn't want to leave his group and act alone, he can't do anything. It's easier without him. "I need to do something real quick. Keep an eye on things here while I'm gone," he explained. The guards nodded in understanding, their expressions serious as they prepared to maintain vigilance over their surroundings. Meanwhile, on the other hand, half of the caravan members wandered inside the base. Look around and see how they can start with what Luis did to them. This is not against their will because they also know that this is the only thing they can do in return for the return to normal of the only child in their group. They stopped in front of a building. Many people are inside just based on the noise it creates from inside, and they hear it outside. This building, as far as they know, used to be a pub or club. They looked into each other's eyes before they went inside. They think this is the best place for what they do. Even if there are many people, they will only say one or two. When they entered, they entered cautiously, their senses alert for any signs of danger.Inside, they were met with a buzz of conversation and activity, the air thick with anticipation and apprehension. These people are still smiling even after experiencing a large-scale attack from mindless zombies. After all, w

The man paused in his work, wiping sweat from his brow as he turned to face Luis and his caravan. "Ah, a caravan," he said, greeting them with a weary smile. Even though he was smiling, Luis could still see the tiredness in his eyes. Who wouldn't be tired if you used not only physical strength but also mental strength, which is very difficult to replenish if you didn't use crystal nuclei? "You've come at a chaotic time. We recently faced a siege of mindless zombies that breached our defenses and wreaked havoc on our safe zone." He sighed. "I don't even know why the mindless zombies suddenly came together. Not only that, even if those at the top of the military were aware, even if they dispatched immediately, it still happened like this," he added as he sighed again and smiled. "If you're going to enter, go through the east gate. The process is long because everything has to be secured, but if there's no problem, you can enter."Luis nodded, understanding dawning on his face. "I see,"

"Let's not send them out yet," Liam said out of the blue while resting.Brandon looked at his boyfriend. "Huh?""The caravan, let's not send it out yet. It's only been an hour after the siege, and I think it's safer if they don't leave first," explained Liam.Brandon stopped for a moment and thought. Liam is right. If the caravan does leave now, they will definitely be delayed because there are scattered mindless zombies around.Brandon nodded in acknowledgment. "Alright, let's do that." He stood up. "I'll go talk to him. Just stay here and rest. If you can't, just stay in the room and sleep."Liam laughed weakly but still nodded and answered. "Alright."Brandon immediately looked for Luis. When he saw her, he called her. "Luis!"Luis turned and then said Brandon's name. "Brandon, do you need something?"Brandon stood before Luis, his expression grave yet determined. He shook his head softly as he delivered his instructions. "Luis, I think you guys need to stay here at our base for th
