After inducting the group of Omegas into the pack they tell me they heard about the upcoming mating ball and wish to help in any way they can. They are all hard workers and help to tidy up the streets and neighborhoods and create decor and decorations which we will install before the event. They insist food, shelter and medical assistance is all they need but with many so young and others pregnant, I give them each a small stipend and the chance to get an education.

Our pack is struggling financially, but this we can afford and I can feel change in the air.

I work closely with the new Omegas and with other volunteers and I chat with them, getting to know each of them and their stories.

It is during one of these days that we are working and conversing that the Mystic, Dee, shows up with an unreadable expression coloring her face and I pause to look at her and take in her state. She fidgets with her hands, which seems unusual for a being such as her.
