Killian stood at the entrance and Mike dropped his hand, completely forgetting everything. He threw the phone and he heard it land somewhere on the nearest table. Then Mike kissed him deeper, burying his hands in Killian’s hair. He breathed Kilian’s scent - his mate smelled like cold and snow, but there was also the sweet scent of Killian’s skin.

“I missed you so much, “Mike whispered against Killian’s lips before he kissed him again. Eventually, Killian’s arms closed around Mike after he closed the door of the apartment behind himself.

Mike broke the kiss and kissed Killian’s forehead.

“I feel like I haven’t been with you for so long. “

“Only a few days. “

“They felt like years. “

Killian suppressed a smile and Mike waved a hand.

“I suck at words, I know. “

“It was just cheesy and not much like you. “

“I am cheesy.”

“Yes. When you don’t shoot people or arrest them. or when you don’t shift into a giant beast. “
